great
ty brother
You are welcome! Glad I could help.
Amazing thanks, i am having rendering out using catlark with 6 iterations, arnold freeze everytime
Could be that’s too high for it handle. Does 5 work? Can say it could never be 6. I suppose it depends how dense the level 1 is.
Thanks for the explaination and the fix video! But the biggest question is, Can we do that in Substance Painter / Marmoset Toolbag? or Blender? I'm sure you're not really a blender user so i won't going to ask about how to do it within blender. Although, Cycles might have the alternative. But how to "pin_borders" in marmoset toolbag or substance painter?
I’m not exactly sure however I would think blender would have a similar fix. Marmoset and Substance might be a little less likely. Does anyone know / have suggestions??
good tuto, but i still have the problem with the visible seam in my maya :( disp, text, normal cant hide, all are made in my zbrush . idk if its the displa subdiv / iteration , but that crash my maya :'(
🤔 try lowering your subdivision/ iteration and see if that help with crashing. Probably won’t help the seem issue though. If it still crashes try it on another computer and see if that helps. Wish I had a better answer for you. Anyone else know?
how to fix this in vray
Haven’t used vray but I’m sure there should be a similar solution. Anyone know?
I just applied this to my mesh, now when I try to render my pc freezes and I have to force a shutdown. How can I fix this?
I bet your subdivisions are set too high. You can’t use the same numbers I use, it’s going to be specific per mesh. Try lowering that number and trying again.
@@davidbittorf OK, thanks
@@davidbittorf under which tab should I change the subdivision level and which level is generally the most appropriate?
@@warlord8106 attribute editor: shape tab / Arnold / Subdivisions. That’s where you adjust your subdivision levels. Go to display / heads up display / polygons to see how many polys your mesh is. Then multiply that number by 4. That’s how many polys it has with 1 subdivision. Then keep multiplying by 4 for each division. Try to keep this number under 20 million. Also make sure you don’t have “3” pressed in the viewport. Select your mesh a press “1”
@@davidbittorf yep, that fixed the problem, had it on 6 like you, turned it back to 2 now it works
