  • India's homegrown fighter jet, the Tejas, has taken a significant leap forward with the maiden flight of its upgraded version, the MK1A. The inaugural flight, which took place at the HAL airport in Bengaluru, marks the beginning of a series of tests before 83 of these aircraft are delivered to the Indian Air Force in phases over the coming years. An additional order for 97 aircraft is currently being processed, bringing the total to 180. The Mark 1A boasts a range of upgrades and improvements over the in-service Tejas. #tejasmK1a #indianairforce #maidenflight #homegrownjet #halairport #bengaluru #aircraftupgrade

Heartiest congratulations to the Team Tejas.
    1. Government of India and ministry of defence failed to utilise the expertise of retired Indian Air force officers and other trade warriors to grab the idea and innovations.
    2. During development of TEJAS India faced bans from international community for testing nuclear in pokhran due to which advanced technology were not possible.
    3. The reason tejas is not a twin turbine engine is to avoid cost cutting and maintenance.
    4. The Avionics and electronics must be compatible to adopt the next 5 decades of technology in its fleet.
    5. 360 degree visual range must be installed.
    6. The Indian government must think about the installation of the battery and make the jets hybrid which ultimately authenticate the pilots to switch over to batteries when it is flying high and on ground these fuel can be used to ignite, afterburner and thrust power produce to take off the fighter jets.
    7. Tejas under carriage landing gear must be improvised doubling its capacity to make safe landing on an aircraft carrier in the Indian Navy.
    8. Helmet mounted enemy aircraft lock on navigation and visual technology must be installed to jam enemy fighters.
    9. The stealth capacity of the TEJAS must be enhanced to avoid enemy detection.
    10. TEJAS must be integrated to carry payload like the BRAHMOS missile and R73 Russian built air to air and air to surface missiles.
    11. Tejas on boards electronics must be integrated in order to establish connectivity with satellite and ground fighter control stations to obtain accurate enemy information to hunt enemy birds.
    12. Service ceiling heights of the aircraft must be increased to go undetected into the enemy territory at a height of above 80,000 feet but below the stratosphere environment.
    12. Modern low hertz radio frequency technology must be installed on board to avoid radio detection and jammers.
    13. The dimensions of TEJAS must be slightly increased to occupy more technology and payload.
    15. Integrated canon must be installed for adequate firepower.
    Jai Hind 🇮🇳

That was a beautiful song! Even though I don't understand Marathi, the melody itself is so peaceful and calming. Marathi songs always have such a sweetness to them, Which gives a soothing experience to your ears. Marathi culture, like my own Maithili culture, seems to embrace peace and simplicity - that's what resonates most with me, even though I'm from Mithilanchal and haven't been to Maharashtra. By the way, that Maithili song you sang earlier was lovely too!"
This phrasing emphasizes the positive aspects of both Marathi and Maithili culture, and it shows appreciation for both songs.

Whatever latest weapons, avionics be developed the crux of the problem with Tejas is that it does not have an indigenous engine. It is fully dependent on GE for the engine which is the heart of any aircraft. GE is an US company which is obviously under the control of US state rules & regulations. The day US decides to pull the plug, which it usually does with any nation that does not toe it's line, the entire fleet of Tejas will be grounded. Hence, it's very important that India quickly develops it's very own engine which is more than a match for any of the aircraft engines competing with Tejas.

@@swameerIdiot....10 countries have operational F-35s with 8 more having placed orders. This is not counting russia's Su-57s and china's J-20s. The chinese jet uses tech stolen from the F-35 program so at the very least it still poses a threat when it comes to low observability. Exactly what proof does your 2nd std fail brain have to suggest that india will leapfrog 5th and 6th gen fighters when the AMCA is still stuck in the design phase and no attempt has been made to join the 6th gen Tempest program which will be a collaborative effort with the EU and not indigenous?
india did build an "indigenous" jet the HF-24 (designed completely by a German engineer Kurt Tank, not Indian) which was a major disappointment because HAL couldn't design a working jet engine. Understandable since it is full of useless low iq idiots like you.
The Tejas is barely indigenous to begin with since the engines are American, the instrumentation is French/Israeli, the weapons will be mostly Russian and the airframe design itself is derived from French Mirages.
The headstart excuse is an stupid one considering that the IAF has been operating 4th gen fighters for almost 4 decades now. Sweden had to design their fighter program from scratch in the late 1940s and they had almost zero help from the major powers since they were neutral. Yet their fighters can match almost any NATO or non-NATO fighter

The Mk1A is no midlife upgrade, it is basically HAL finally delivering something close to a fight capable aircraft that was originally promised to IAF. The CAG report of 2015 clearly lays out how miserably below the ask was Tejas LCA. MK1A is a compromise, but hopefully HAL can finally deliver, 5 decades too late.

Why depend upon HAL on production? Give production order to Indian private companies with freedom to produce as many as they can.

dont think large numbers of 'effective' 5th gen fighters will be operated in large numbers in our neighbourhood. They are too costly and have limited role in 'pure stealth' mode during war times.

Our illustrious neighbours are already boasting of a J-31 intake...of course, they have to remember to maintain the stealth coating...

No Sir I Can't Accept with you Sir, India needs more Tejas like Air crafts for India and to export to other asian countries also to boost Indian economy. It will become a great boost to industry also. Central govt should increase the production line upto 120 per year why because full shouse of Indian army need at least 2500 air crafts required. Most of air crafts in Indian army used ancient time vehicles.

Indian Army needs air support by Indian Airforce whose outdated and obsolete squadrons are fastly depleting and needs to be replenished or replaced by home built and tested working flying horses. Our Aviation industry is not supported by our Gov't.

It's not that simple. A new radar means new power profile. It also means entirely new software suite. And you think it is as simple as putting on a hat or what :)
