Good jobe but I don,t see torque tightenig specification the most importent parts for this jobe!
Excellent video and description.
However, 9:50 shows the hub not seated. Then by 10:10, as if by magic, the hub is perfectly seated ready to thread the bolt. In reality, be prepared for an EPIC battle to line up the bolt holes. Took us an extra 30 mins of fettling at this point.
Missing the torque settings for re-installation of bolts. Please add if you will. Cheers!
Also, there are 5 different rear springs for this model depending on spec, all colour coded. If you could list the Merc part numbers with description for vehicle type, this would be a great help.
Best of luck if you attempt this yourself.

WHEN REPLACEMENT OF THE SPRING(S) IT IS MANDATORY TO REPLACE THE LOWER GASKET AS WELL. I did not see that he installed a new one
Thanks for the clarification, your comment will be useful for many of our viewers.
great videos but would be nice to know the sizes of the tools he holds up like the allen and the torx in case you dont have them then you can get them before starting the job
Thank you for your feedback! Our new videos will surely include this information for our viewers, watch out for our upgrades. Best regards, Autodoc.
How did he get the control arm back into the hub!?!?!?
We cannot show all the nuances and problems during replacement; this is all individual and it is not always possible to solve them at home. To avoid this, we always recommend that replacements be carried out by specialized car services.

Great Video! I had a question, My 2010 Mercedes CLS 219 had both its rear coil springs replaced recently as they were fractured. Following replacement, the rear ride height seems to be a few centimetres more than it was previously. Is this normal? In time will the rear ride height go back to how it was on the old springs that were replaced? Many thanks in advance.
We do not have such information, we recommend that you consult your mechanic.
Please make a video to change the transmission oil for Mercedes w211 Panorama Madel 2005 due to the lack of oil gauge. Greetings.
Thank you for your wish, but unfortunately, on our channel, there is no video about Mercedes w211 Panorama Madel 2005.

wouldn't it be easier to unbolt the inner part of the control arm? jost one bolt, and lower it with a jack
Thank you for the feedback! This video is considered to be an informative one, and it is approximate. Best regards, Autodoc.

Hi there,
It’s a late in the day question about this vid tutorial , but here goes, what size socket is being used to loosen that rear bolt at 2.52 mins into the video.
Also some people seem to be saying they struggled to get the hub assembly back into place.?.
Would you have any suggestions on that part of the job also, as the video seems to cut away Just before your technician shows how it’s done.
Thanks for the video and any answers or tips you may have with these questions.
It is not possible to answer your question and you can find the requested information in the technical documentation for repairing of your model of car.
How do you know when it’s a spring problem and not a shock problem
Thank you for your question! Unlike the shock absorbers, the first sign that the spring has gone bad is its height degression, which will be visible in the vehicle clearance.
Best Regards,
Autodoc Team
I need your help 2004 mercedes e320 4nsee watuc need to lower car front and rear. I dont have air ride on car. But dont have 1500 for coilovers saw lowering springs for like 400 wikk they work.?
We do not have such information and we recommend that you consult your mechanic.
Yeah trying to line up the knuckle with the lower control arm bush hole is a right pain and still can't get it lined up to put the bolt through 😞 Any help Pleeeeaaaaaasssse ???
How did you get it

Thank you for the feedback! It’s great to know that our video was useful! Follow our upcoming updates. Best regards, Autodoc.
The spring only sits in one position in the lower arm, remove the hand break cable from its retaining bracket on the arm, Good luck getting the arm back into the hub assembly, Its a pig of a job.
Thanks for your valuable clarification.
From what I see you took a bolt out then it was somehow back in to get the spring out
Our videos are for reference only. All routine replacements and values can be found directly in the technical documentation of your vehicle or with the help of a car service.
@@autodocukhow do I get the knuckle back into the receptacle at 9:50 please just ask the mechanics that worked on this and if they aren’t there anymore ask for the raw uncut footage I need to get this done
What type of brush work was that dawg!?!?! 7:14

Just finished this job. I do not recommend undoing the hub to lower arm. It is close to impossible to put it back in. I have spent 6 hours as the bush is not solid but like Opel vectra's rose bushes. The best choice is to undo the lca to subframe bolt, but mine was rusted and would not get out of the bush. So in this case I reccomend to undo the two bolts on the subframe and lower it then reinstall with thread lock. It sounds scary, but it is easier.
Thank you for the feedback! The video is informative and shows only the general principles of the constitution and the operation of the car and it is in no way to be taken as a manual for repair and maintenance. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us. Best Regards, Autodoc
How did you do it in the end?
I recommend to undo the subframe side by side and lower it. If you undo the LCA better use sandpaper to sand the metal surfaces to get them easier back in.
@@mp5team I managed to do it very difficult just finished it 1 hour ago took me 2 days. In the end I removed the brake disc and bent the dust shield and was able to get a crowbar in and lever the knuckle down and after bashing it I managed to get a screwdriver in and then a large hex key. Very difficult but did it. Thanks for the reply.
@@mp5team Lately i have been getting into suspension systems. Im still learning, whats an LCA?
What is the name of the piece you are taking off at the 3:44 mark?
Thank you for your comment! We kindly ask you to clarify the time code of the video. On the stated part we only unscrewed the arm suspension mountings. Best Regards, Autodoc Team.
Why you replace it please
Please clarify your question and we will be able to assist you.
AUTODOC
Why the mechanic tighten the wishbone bolt on 3 minute? Why would you touch that bolt
Very late reply here, but he's actually loosening it so the lower arm can pivot down without putting strain on the rubber bush and damaging it. When it is put back together the suspension needs to be preloaded and allow the bush to settle in its correct position before doing the final torque on the bolt. This will mean there is no wind up in the bush at normal ride height.
no music please! please!
so much work for 1 spring, w202 and w124 are better built
You see this guy…… it’s no.1 bullsh..ter 😅😅
Bollox
is not the proper way to do it and is not safe the spring could hit you in the face
Thank you for your comment.
Please could you clarify what exactly we did wrong?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
