I never leave comments, but I bought these flash cards a couple of months ago and they are simply the best - such great quality! And using the instruction from your channel has helped me teach my son to read. He went from not even being confident with the letter sounds to reading level 1 readers in the course of this past summer! Thank you for what you do!!
Hello! Where I can find this one please 🙏
Glad you like them! Way to put in the work!

@@toddlerscanreadthanks to CZcams I found your very very helpful videos just today. At what age does one start focusing on teaching the different sounds? I of course was just going through the flash cards but now I'll definitely be trying to teach the actual sounds to my 18 month old
What a beautifuly profound video. My AHA moment came from you mentioning that we dont have to make learning boring or that we have to do all 26 letters in one sitting. I'm excited to turn this into a game with my son. Thank you for the tips.
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00 🧒 Look for sturdy flashcards that can withstand wear and tear, as durability matters for long-term use.
01:06 🆒 Opt for flashcards with large letters to ensure easy visibility for your child during practice.
02:05 🖼️ Keep the picture separate from the letter on the flashcard to prevent children from relying solely on memorizing pictures.
02:46 🔡 Ensure that the picture on the flashcard matches the primary sound of the letter to avoid confusion.
03:41 👶 Include both uppercase and lowercase letters on the same flashcards to help children learn both simultaneously.
04:24 🎨 Choose flashcards with engaging and themed illustrations to capture your child's interest.
05:18 🎮 When teaching letter sounds, focus on two or three sounds at a time to prevent overwhelm.
06:55 🎲 Use creative games to keep your child engaged while practicing letter sounds.
07:21 📝 You can make your own flashcards using index cards and a marker if you prefer not to buy them.

By making the content you do you, are literally positively impacting SO many children for the rest of their lives. I seriously can't thank you enough. After watching a few of your shorts I went onto Amazon to get flashcards and couldn't find any that I liked, then I find this video and found out you made the EXACT flashcards I was looking for!

As a retired special education teacher I applaud your methods and philosophy! You obviously use research-based best practices. Your materials, flashcards and books, are well-designed and of good quality. When you provide clear explanations and demonstrations you seal the deal. Outstanding!
I love ur honesty Spencer-u are helping so many without shoving ur products- I know how hard it is to help our kids especially when we don’t have lots of money or fancy tools available to us- thank you.
This channel and all your info is amazing!!!
I appreciate that!
You are the best. Thank you.
You're welcome!
Hi! Just dropping by to say thank you for sharing your expertise and knowledge about how to teach toddlers to read at an early age. My admiration to your cause. Rest assured from now on, I will introduce your channel to my granddaughter who will turn three on November 7 of this year. Thank you once again and God bless you all the more❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!
Something I do is cover the uppercase and lower case when I review. I noticed my baby was recognizing the capital letters and not the lowercase. Great video and thank you for what you do, you are awesome!
Thank you sooooo much. You are just doing the great work man❤
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your videos are so amazing. I am excited to start teaching my two year old how to read.
You are so welcome!
Have you started? How is it going. I have a 25months old and considering starting.
Awesome job
Good idea 👍
I have a child with ADHD. I myself do as well but was undiagnosed until adullthood. Sight words weren't really a thing, but I was an excellent reader because I learned pronunciation rules. I saw letter combinations as "sound shapes" that fit together. I feel like sight words are difficult especially with ADHD and working memory defecits, especially when they must say it in 3 seconds. It's so hard.
Hi Spencer, which one do we teach the first, the letter sound or the letter names? Or both at the same time?
Just ordered these for my grandbaby, he is a year and 2 mos old! He loves to act like he is talking and reading books
Hello teacher good morning 🌞
Thank you so much. Now, I'm teaching my son to read on English, he's 8 years old. But he's boring on our lessons, and that's upset me. I will try to use your advices and more play with him using flashcards, but it's not easy for me.
I plan on getting yours. We have the other ones but they're super bendy and already warped.
I'm getting the flash cards, super excited! I'm having some problems with him distinguishing between capital E and F, and lowercase c and e, any advice? Love all your advice and workshops!
Repetition and just focus on a few items at a time until he knows them! Watch my free workshop or take my courses for more info! : )
I wish you had used a regular ball and stick letter a

What age should you start teaching your kids the letters and their sounds? My daughter is 21 months right now and I'm wondering whether now is a good time to start or if I should wait a little longer.
It is less about age and more about stage- can they say the sounds, remember things day to day? They might be ready! Check out my free workshop to see examples of how to get started.
Hi! Where i can find this flashcards please?

Please when is the right month or age to start teaching a child
if they can say the sounds, they can typically start learning them!
Having both uppercase and lowercase on the same card I think is not ideal, because suppose the kid can only recognize one accurately, or learns to provide the sound only when both letters are presented- it's probably jarring to move into reading words where only half of the cue (one letter) is present and have to give the sound. Or rather, maybe a child should learn on these cards, and then transition to a second set of uppercase and lowercase letters.
I wrote more about that here if you're interested! www.toddlersread.com/blog/should-you-teach-uppercase-of-lowercase-letters-first
@@toddlerscanread Thanks a bunch for all of your work! So much assumes kids are 6 or 7 when they start to learn letters and it's great to see what kids are capable of. My daughter is two and learned her letters+ sounds and a few sight words but transitioning to CV sounds has been a challenge but your guides look great and I'll be checking out the course
Do you make these in Spanish? 🤞🏽
