I'm a Swansea fan and had the pleasure of watching michu for a magical season. He always seemed troubled though and had bad injuries but it was great to see him come back to say hello a few years ago.
12/13 Michu has one of the biggest cult followings I’ve ever seen… I remember how good he was but didn’t notice when he feel off the next season 😭😭😭
I remember that season of Michu with Swansea and I understand why it might seem like a dream. He was magical that year. Pure class.
I remember when he rocked up at Swansea in the Prem I don't think there were many people who had heard of him before but he literally took the league by storm. He was so good to watch. It's great when a team deemed one of the smaller clubs end up with a genuine talent like Michu there's been a few over the years like Atillio Lombardo at Crystal Palace, Matt Le Tissier of Southampton, Geovanni when he was at Hull etc.
You should do Paul McGrath next, my dad always brings him up when we talk about football. He struggled with alcoholism and played most matches drunk, but won MOTM awards without even remembering playing the game he played. Despite that, he was arguably one of Irelands and Aston Villa’s finest ever players.

Loved him. Even before he became a consistent scorer in the prem he had my attention. He forced my hand to buy my first jersey for a club and it was the centennial jersey for Swansea. It was in the colours of my Welsh flag. It was a match made in heaven. And then he just kept banging them in all season.

I've been told my back injury is not bad and I can continue to play 11 aside football by a spinal surgeon after multiple MRIs. I'm 36 and whenever I play I'm in pain - I'm nowhere near the player I used to be... I realise I'm not a professional but it's hard when someone tells you you're fine, but you're in so much pain you physically can't perform.... All the best for the future Michu - you were absolutely class as Swansea.

I remember having Michu in my fantasy team THAT season, I put him in there because I’d spent so much money on other players and he was cheap, I’d genuinely not really heard of him lol then luckily for me he was the king of the late run into the box header! He counted as a midfielder as well that season in fantasy league I remember and his goals were worth more! he counted as a forward the next season because Swansea started playing him so far forward in the number 10 role he was pretty much another striker lol
