I would very much not recommend starting with a custom pack. They’re mostly aesthetic, and can make learning which mobs are which pretty confusing

There's usually 2 main ways to start playing minecraft: the farming way or the mining way.
- If you want to farm you need to start planting seeds and round up some animals to feed until you get enough food to venture out without worry. You'll need a hoe.
- If you want to mine you need to burn a lot of wood to make coal and put in on sticks to get torches. Go dig yourself a hole/cave and start looking for iron, gold and diamonds. Make a nice pickaxe and some pants and lets go deeper! (beware there's lava all around)
If you get to the mid game you've got yourself 3 paths: creating, exploring and fighting
- Creating is straightforward: make yourself a bigger house, a bigger farm, a bigger chair, a bigger desk and a bigger hat to wear (you can't actually get a bigger hat, sorry)
- Exploring is fun, you can find lots of interesting buildings and ruins everywhere, surrounded by all kinds and colors of plants and ground... but you'll get lost and die a lot if you don't have good clothes and food (just like in the video)
- Fighting can be scary. You need to build a portal to lava-hell where you'll find stronger monsters to kill and loot, to get stronger items and stronger effects. You could also fight in underwater or forest dungeons, but you'll need to go looking for those in the wilderness.
The end game is whatever you want. You could just fight the dragon boss and end there or you could build a whole world and never end ever. If you want to fight the boss you need to kill a bunch of ender-man to get ender-pearls that lead you to a portal to the ender-world where you can fight the ender-dragon and ender-end your game... but even after that you could explore the final level to find new treasures and attain flight.
If you like building automatic things you can make them with magic red powder that works almost like electricity. You could even summon a new boss to fight or build a giant light laser to the sky all movie like.
If you are a completionist there's an achievement list full of fun things to do... and I even thinks there's a ridiculously convoluted secret one.
Overall minecraft can be really fun and you can get really creative, and there's no shame in looking things up. I don't think it's the kind of game where you are supposed to figure out everything by trial and error. There's no tutorial or clear story line to follow, I'm pretty sure it was made with the idea that everyone will have access to the internet and a community to talk about it and share information. (really, I don't think they teach you to build a portal anywhere in the game and I don't know how you would find that out unless you saw it online)

Yup, all of the rose quartz gems bubbled by the diamonds In an attempt to find rose quartz. Foafy shattering gems that the diamonds wouldn't, crazy.
I think footofaferret should make a minecraft SMP with other minecraft beginners or just his friends. So his minecraft experience doesn't felt lonely anymore.

Dude... when you play on a themed map you are automatically limited to what that map has to offer, it’s best to just play vanilla for beginners it also makes things far simpler

- you can sprint by holding and pushing down left stick on your controller
- you can go to a place called the nether and you do that by making a portal that looks like this with obsidian [] 5 up on each side 4 on the bottom and top and you light the inside of that with flint and steal
Yeah, most of the IP based dlc are just meant to kind of explore and admire. There’s no Steven universe specific mechanics. I think a good way to ease into Minecraft is looking at the achievement list and looking up how to do certain things. But this is pretty interesting to watch. I would be interested in watching your journey.

I'm pretty sure that tower is the Sea Spire from Season 1 where they needed to place the Moon Goddess statue and instead used Steven's shaky Bear plush.
I think you're playstyle would fit more in an SMP with friends to guide you and keep inventory to help you adjust to the game.
As someone who has been playing for a decade, I enjoy watching people experience it for the first time. (Even though it is drastically different from how it used to be)

The tower was the tower from one of the first few episodes when the crystal gems go on an adventure with steven for the first time and he turns out to be really helpful even though pearl was scared he was gonna die the whole time as a hardcore steven universe fan im dissapointed that you forgot

To be honest I got That pack it came out and you just need to fly around In creative and look for all the cool secrets because there aot of them that only people that have seen the show or now the locations will be able to find

Someone else probably already said this but the tower is the Lunar Sea Spire from the episode Cheeseburger Backpack. For some reason there is what usually appears to be a woodland mansion in the basement.
I'm only a minute in but this is a problem with bedrock. it shows no difference between the actual game and marketplace content so new players get really confused especially since they often have weird stories or WAY too much loot
With the mystery building it's the tower from the moon stone episode. Ya know, like when they first showed hamburger backpack

Some tips:
Hollow Pearl is an enderman which is a passive enemy unless you make direct eye contact with it or you attack it.
There is an enemy called a witch which attacks you with potions that can have affects varying from poison to weakness.
Potions can only be made in a brewing stand which can be made near the middle of the game.
Enemies don’t spawn as much in well lit areas.
The tower is the Lunar Sea spire which was one of the earliest adventure

You should explore more in creative! Theres tons to see, all references to Steven Universe. A lot of rooms also have hidden functions and gimmicks, which are good to look out for. It took me away seeing that they created homeworld. I would say though that the mashups are more for exploration than a vanilla experience. Also, that tower you climbed was the lunar sea spire

The place that you dug into was a woodland mansion. The thing that you did not recognize what’s up though some of them they can give you totems of undying,, and if you hold them, it’s basically a extra life, but once you use it, you cannot use it anymore
That mysterious place your talking about is actully the SEASPIRE you know back when Steven and the gang go on a lofi mission with Steven and well.. He fails miserably forgetting the seaspire statue and decides to replace it by a stuff toy.

Fun and super useful fact (if you wanna play the Game again): I don’t know how to do it on what you’re playing on but if you’re in the water you can (at least on the switch) you can run and it makes you swim! And here’s how you do it: up down up (on the movement stick of course)
The place that you found is the place where they all went to that one sea temple that had to be activated with this one thing placed on the top at midnight. In season 1, it was when Steven's silly ideas with a breakfast sandwich worked on the sea shrimp

the big tower is from the episode of cheeseburger backpacks where Steven was solving all the issues in the tower and pearl was confused about it but when they got to the top of the tower Steven didn’t have to statue they needed to keep the tower stable and it crashed into the ocean

I think this is the place (I forgot what it was called) where the crystal gems tried to save this tower by placing a statue at the top but Steven brought mc bear bear by mistake and mc bear bear exploded when they tried to use him as an alternative
Fofay, I think the place you might have wandered into at 9:47 was a woodland mansion. I recognize the general structure and the mobs in it. They are actually very very rare, and spawn 10s of thousands of blocks away from spawn. So the fact that you found one right next to your spawn is very lucky.
At 9:35 that is supposed to be the lunar sea spire from the episode when Steven throws a bagel sandwich at the shrimps to cross the path

A lot of people already said that the tower was the sea spear tower from the first season, so i'm just gonna tell you that the underground part you didn't recognize at 9:48 was a minecraft structure, the Mansion, but ocean themed
(also, in 10:20, the "ice garnet" is the water clone from The mirror gem part 2)

I highly recommend going through the SU pack in creative mode just to see all the places because it's really cool! plus there's Homerworld, but I don't remember if it's the Netherworld or the End City.
lastly, I think people in the comments already told you, but the place you don't recognize is the water temple(?) from season 1, from the episode centered around cheeseburger backpack, where the CG have to bring the little statue to prevent the tower from crumblinbg down and Steven offers to bring it in the backpack alongside other stuff he thinks are necessary, but at the end he forgets to bring the statue and the tower falls.
is the tower thing the tower from like season 1? maybe the communication tower from when garnet got mad at pearl, maybe recreation of moon base?

I've played minecraft quite long(and still do) but i when i also bought the SU mashup pack it kinda felt like a new game for me. Alot looked different and it made it quite fun to explore the new things.

OMG, seeing steven universe in 3D, is like really totally super duper weird, and is soo totally gonna take me some a while to get used too/ adjust too
The SU structure you couldn't recall from the show or games was the Sunken Sea Spire. It sunk when the Moon Goddess statue could not be returned to it's podium by a certain night cycle, causing it to crumble. It was featured in an episode from realllyyy early on, so I don't blame you for not remembering!!
Foofi has a steven universe obsession that needed to be fed so he played minecraft steven universe edition to quenche that feeling and he died multiple times cause it is still minecraft.and thats this video in a nutshell

I don't know if you'll see this as this video was made 2 years ago, but pausing only works in Java edition. On Bedrock (which is used for mobile and every console) pausing does NOTHING.
At the beginning of the video I paused and said to myself.
"Playing survival Minecraft with no knowledge and having a texture pack that changes the game he's going to die multiple times"
And he indeed died multiple times.

Also by the description of the "kindergarden" I'm assuming u could find stuff like emerald and diamond somewhere underground there in the Mashup pack
Edit: also the fryman guy at 7:52 is a villager that can have a job. Like for example a farmer. U can trade emeralds with him to get things relating to his job, so if he were a farmer he would be selling wheat, bread, and carrots.
10:35 oh yeah, this was the episode where they had to bring a statue to the thing you found on the top to prevent this tower from falling apart back into the sea, but Steven forgets the item meaning this place is destroyed. And it was around season 1 in a single episode if I remember correctly
