I think that when lapis is like "I've felt worse" is the most badass moment in the entire series. She basically belittles and completely invalidates the feelings and bloodshed of blue and yellow. It is so cool.

Growing up in a Hispanic household feelings and emotional health arnt really recognized. They're something that can only be prayed away or something that can be fixed with work. I was never taught how to deal with my emotions when I would have breakdowns my mom would constantly just tell me how awful I was being to her and how upset I was making her. This show gave me something to understand some type of path to go on to deal with my issues. It helped me deal with my anger, depression, self esteem and so much more. I know it's a little cringe but I feel like garnet was there for me emotionally whenever I needed some type of guidance and pearl to feel like I wasnt alone going through grief. This show was the closest thing I got to therapy that i desperately needed as a kid.

Garnet being 2 gems was one of those things we were never explicitly told about/hinted at before hand, like we weren't told if gems couldn't have 2 gems or not.
40:17 the funny thing is that one of the reasons they came was that Steven's sandal fell off his foot when he ran away.

While I was watching the scene when Blue said that Rose Quartz's sword is the one that shattered Pink Diamond, I remembered something Bismuth had said. Bismuth was the one that made that sword, and she said it was made only to poof a gem, and never shatter them. If this was already put into the video, sorry. I haven't finished the whole video yet, I'm at 9:21

Soo my new theory is that Rose poofed Bismuth not only because of the Breaking Point, it was because Bismuth was the only one other than her (and probably Pearl) that knew that her sword couldn’t shatter. Why? I have an answer. If Bismuth found out that Pink Diamond was “shattered” by Rose Quartz’s sword, she’d immediately know that Pink couldn’t have been shattered like that and might have spilled Rose’s secret on accident, not knowing it’s the truth. So Rose probably poofed Bismuth because of the Breaking Point *and* because Bismuth might have spilled Rose’s secret about the shattering on accident.

I like Steven Universe Future a lot. it's definitely different than the original show but so good still
A small line in the show that took me 3 watches to notice is so good I need to point it out: when Bismuth is showing Steven the breaking point, she says about Rose's sword "I designed this sword for a fair fight" and says it can destroy a gem's physical form but never their gem. This is foreshadowing that Pink's death was faked since witnesses said it was done with a sword, Rose's sword.

I feel like pink being mad with her tantrums, you now how in ‘Fragments’ Jasper gets shattered she loses a stripe or two and one of her horns look half cut. Pink probably shattered “volleyball” and was able to heal her but her eye was damaged, just like Jasper changing her physical form.

Peridot's main mission was to check on the cluster and gem experiments. And I think they never assumed the gem activity until they started destroying their flask robonoids and when they smashed the homeworld warp. They also sent jasper once they confirmed the existence of Crystal gems for backup
The way I see it with the way we learned about Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz is a reverse character development.
If we learned who she was from the beginning and how she grew up over time from a literal child to a mother, I think we would all feel differently about her.
Was she a perfect being and mother, no absolutely not! But she tried to learn and develope herself in what she thought was good. She made a lot of mistakes and hurt the ones around her, but aside from the final diamond attack. She never saw the consequences of her actions and faults. Steven had to deal with that.
We saw through the eyes of Steven finding out more and more on how his mother was not the perfect gem he had been told about, by finding out her history.
The series starts out so innocent and then just ✨ *escalates* ✨

This was the best show on cartoon network in my opinion
even though rebecca sugar is an extremely controversial writer right now, apparently involved with some serious racism while writing the characters like the pizza owners and amethyst, she still made an awesome show and movie series. I loved this show and movie, and they definitely gave me a boost in helping me discover who i truly was as a person from a whole. the entire steven universe timeline did really help me as someone who struggles to sit down and watch a full series of anything due to some crazy adhd. so thanks!

if you were around twelve thirteen when the show started that means we literally grew up alongside Steven. The finale of Steven Universe Future aired a few months before I left for college and of course I cried like a baby lolll it hit way too close to home
I was in like 8th grade going into 9th grade when Steven Universe came out. I remember seeing the trailor when i got home from school.
I wish I could have been that old when Steven Universe came out. I was only 3 years old, I would have loved it.

The time between Pearl expressing her distaste for fusions and the reveal of Pink Diamond happened pretty far apart
It's only if you think back on it after seeing both scenes, that you can notice the connection
The fact that Season 2 through Season 5 happens in *1 YEAR* must have been extremely exhausting for Steven. I wish that each Season was 6 months apart with a break in between *just* so Steven has a bit of a breather between each Season and time to relax. This may have contributed to SU:F because he literally got zero breaks between the Seasons 🥲🥲

When I was younger I didn't like the direction the show took, and I didn't end up watching Future. A while back I did end up watching Future, and while I still have my fair share of complaints I think I can appreciate it a lot more now than I did. I had mental health problems growing up (and even now somewhat) and seeing Steven grow up while dealing with trauma and the like (in hindsight) is something that I resonate with a lot more. Plus, credit where it's due, I did really enjoy watching Future.

For real though find a group of people who are decent and release small bits of what bothers you to each person. That’s a great place to start a process of self love and healing

I stumbled across this recap. It brought back a lot of memories, such nostalgia. I can't help but burst into tears literally. This series was just perfect this was my teenage years and quite incidentally as Steven left, it was also the same time as when I started to work. It just reminded me how precious things we're, just can't help but be happy but with a literal sobbing cry. 😭😭😭
Seriously, thank you so much for this. Seeing the entire series wrapped up like this reminds me of so many lessons and you get to see just how tight the writing was.

@karmasdoor well jasper was a very durable gem so I guess it wasnt enough damage to poof her but enough to make her unconscious. Since gems can sleep which is basically being unconscious I guess. Would mean they can be knocked out.
they could have done so much more with this exploring where the diamonds come from, what other worlds think of Steven's new direction for the gems, what the pink resurection ability actually is and what it means for Lars' life... but did they need to? Steven universe wasn't a show he was a person who shared a bit of his life with us.
