Superheroes are pretty cool. If they weren’t, we wouldn’t be getting 15 new comic book movies a week. Everyone has their favorite superhero franchise! And mine has always been Teen Titans. I was obsessed with the 2000’s animated series! But these days, the Teen Titans are in a very...different place. So today, I wanna talk about my experiences, thoughts, and opinions on this weird weird franchise as I bring you some, “Confessions Of A Teen Titans Fan.”

Isn't that Robin the one who abused the Titans in the first place? They retaliated against him but TTG actually balanced their friendship and rivalry in an usual way. It's like what Kaeloo do.

Honestly, I liked TTG at first because I was pretty young and easily entertained, then hated it because everyone else seemed to, then watched a few episodes and liked it again. Besides, the fact that a recurring villain in the series is friggin' *Santa Claus* is hilarious

I never watched the original, because I was too young for it, but my childhood was filled by Phineas and Ferb in the earlier years, and Teen Titans Go in the later years. I still have a soft spot for it, but I totally understand why people wouldn’t like it. It’s really chaotic, and quite the frenzy most of the time, but I enjoyed the chaos. It was just a lot of fun to watch as a kid.

I knew TTG was gonna be bad, I went in with incredibly low expectations, willing to give it a fair chance and not judge it based on the original, and I was still disappointed. watching the show made me feel physically ill, it got to the point where I literally threw up and just felt so depressed watching it. TTG completely brought back my depression and undid years worth of progress and mental growth. so instead I watched wander over yonder and the sexy green girl made me happy again.
You know what- I’d be fine with TTGo if it wasn’t all CN played most days

They show other shows now, and TTG is shown less often. I recommend watching Craig of the creek, I personally think it’s amazing.

Honestly, the reason I can't stand Teen Titans Go is because of the characters. Everyone, in my eyes, became so unlikeable, it's like they took everyone's worst character traits and cranked it up to 100. I feel this is most seen in Robin, where his tendency, in the original series, to be a bit controlling gets blown WAY out of proportion, to the point where it makes me mad, he's just so unlikeable, and it makes me upset. Beast Boy and Cyborg aren't the worst but there is still that element of over exaggeration. Raven is a bit worse, mostly because I can't believe anything she does anymore. Finally, Starfire's Naïvate is no longer endearing, it's worrying and annoying. Funnily enough, I don't hate the writing, it's pretty standard for some run of the mill TV show. It's just the characters are so unlikeable.
But hey, at the end of the day, it's my opinion

A FILM opinion!
I was like 7 when TTG came out and it was MY FAVORITE. I just loved it so much and it became my life. I never really got into the original because by the time I was old enough to understand it, I was out of my Teen Titans phase. But TTG will forever hold a special place in my heart

TTG Isn't bad, it's not anywhere near the level of the original, but it isn't bad, it's just different than the original. TTG is mad for a difference Audience. I feel that people need to get over the fact that it's not gonna be the same as the original.

Tedds The Dog The first few episodes or seasons (I forget) I watched then the characters started losing something. It felt like all of the characters were dumb except for one or two then they save the day by doing something dumb from some made up villain. Feels like wacky hijinks like new Spongebob episodes with no order other than caricatures of the og show. I mean I like when dumb random things happen, hell I could rewatch all the Steven Universe filler episodes, but nowadays Teen Titans Go feels to cartoon-ish, feels like what they did to Ok KO later on.

i actually watched Teen Titans Go before i had the chance to watch Teen Titans, and it blew my mind whenever i went to a friends house and we watched the original. there was always something i didn’t like about Teen Titans Go, and i think it’s because i’m not the biggest fan of having no overarching story.
Finally, someone who likes Teen Titans Go too! Although I’ve outgrown it (and never saw the original, only the Trouble in Tokyo movie), I still like it.

I’m on OG fan and the Go series ticked me off and makes me sad to this day. I’m more so mad and sad at the fact that kids today will never get to experience the epicness that was the original series the way I did as a kid. The go series feels like it underestimates kids maturity today. Hell, maybe the go series was made because the original series was deemed as ‘too much’ by todays parents so the network decided to please them instead. I don’t know. I did watch the teen titans go vs teen titans movie and was pleased about the awareness both sides had towards each other. It felt like a modern day blast from the past that did indeed lean towards the go series, but not enough for me to stop watching it. All i know is that if I for whatever reason have a child or kids, I’d watch the original series with them alongside other series I loved like Avatar the last airbender, the power puff girls, etc. alongside modern cartoons way into the future.

For me, a 2003 baby who was literally too young to watch teen titans when it was airing, I started with Teen Titans Go. I don't remember when but at some point my mom made me aware of the original show and eventually I went to watch it after buying episodes on iTunes (yeah yikes that makes me sound so old 💀). From that point I literally made Teen Titans my ENTIRE personality for the next 6 years or so 😭😭. I also jumped on the TTG hate train too which I think is SO funny considering that that's where I started in the first place 💀
Honestly, I loved TTG as a younger kid, because I never saw the original. I get where the hate is coming from, but what makes me laugh is that the reboot is aware of it and jokes about it CONSTANTLY. Plus, I love Tara Strong. She is AMAZING. And yes, TTG VS TT was kinda lame. I liked the Teen Titans GO movie that came to the big screen. I have a great memory of seeing it with my dad and little brother.

I remember at some point Cartoon Network ONLY played teen titans. I remember that day clearly becuase my parents bought me a Twilight sparkle pony bag. Back then I loved that TTG marathon and I still love that show today.

To be honest, teen titans go isn’t that bad. Probably because I watched back then and I LOVED it. It’s a little weird watching now but, you know lol.
Yeah! I grew up watching Teen titans with my brother as a kid, and teen titans go came out when I was in middle school. Me and my friend used to sing the 'Oh! it's time! To get reallyreallyreally SERIOUS!' song from TTG in fifth grade.
Then I saw Teen titans on Toonami (which somehow still existed in 2016) and I LOVED it. I loved it for being serious with real stakes, had great jokes, and it's lovely. Nostalgic, yup, and as someone who loved superheroes, this show is awesome!
Revisiting Teen titans go in high school felt weird, but hey, it's not so bad. (The newer episodes were awful, but I don't hate TTG with a passion, I honestly don't care whether it exists or not)
Teen titans will always be the superior show. Teen titans go is clearly for a younger demographic and obviously won't appeal to some people.

I’ve gotten out of TTG lately, but enjoyed it for most of its run. Other than the fart jokes it’s generally pretty funny. I still quote it from time to time.
The episodes where they taught a joke lesson were the best. Like the one about real estate investments.
After I heard the arguments against TTG I kinda started hating it too. Rerunning it into the ground isn’t a very good idea. (Plus focusing more on comedy more than action. actually seeing certain episodes yeah the comedy... is subpar.)
That's my main problem with TTG. And that's more of the fault of CN then the show itself.
Ligtning Dog Yeah that’s a major problem. There’s 3 things that tick off almost all old fans. 1. Leaving the cliff hanger for a reboot. 2. Making reruns basically Teen Titans is CN now. 3. I’m pretty sure if you fixed those 2 things and if they complete the series and didn’t rerun it to the ground, it would be a fine show for kids. No one would be complianing

I actually love ttgo as well. And never understood the hate, to me they are like a PG Version of South Park, of the wall rude, crude and lewd. But to me it feels real and the parody and satire of things like comics, Politics, history and life.
To me it doesn't get as much love as it should.

@@darryljack6612 the family dinamic isnt as relevant in Gumball, heck, a good part of the episodes don't even have other members of the Wattersons present other than Gumball and Darwin, theres even like two episodes where Gumball is the only Watterson present
But i guess it doesnt fit the "5 kid" dinamic, it's sense of humor definitely does have some similarities
I think Teen Titans Go is a slightly toned down version of Ren and Stimpy.

This is honestly refreshing, I don't really care about Teen Titans in general but it's almost comical how much hate Go gets.

For me I watched justice league and justice league unlimited When teen titans was going on so I already knew about the teen titans through my dad though so they were pretty cool
when you watched the OG TT but then your little brothers forced you to rematch TTG for the next 8 years of your life and now you have no memory of the original and that makes you think that you like TTG

Some of the best (or the only good ones) jokes in Teen Titans Go are the meta ones about how sad they are that they aren't cool anymore after the reboot

usually I agree with you. But as a fan of the old teen Titans I thoroughly enjoyed teen Titans go vs. Teen Titans. I thought it was really great. it was an amazing experience to be able to sit down with my nine-year-old brother, (I'm 20) who loves teen Titans go and both of us got to bond over a show we both love. I got to tell him all the amazing things I loved about the OG teen Titans, while growing to understand why he liked the new ones so much.
Growing up (and by that I mean at age 9) my favorite character wasn't a hero. I always loved Harley Quinn, because my Dad loved the Joker and he wasn't a great person so I related a LITTLE bit to her. She was also crazy and I found that really funny.
If I’m honest I really like the reboot, I think I enjoy funny things over action. I love story and action, things of the sort though I love TTG! I think it’s funny and I started watching TTG before I even knew the original existed so I think that’s why I like it so much.
