"Steven Universe" and "toys" just makes me think of how they didn't make any official Spinel toys (she was super popular and so many people would've bought them.)
In the past, so many cartoons were made purely to sell toys, and nowadays many cartoons have little official merch even when there's lots of fans, young and old.
Oh, and farmer Steven is from the first Watermelon Steven episode. He dressed up while selling them to people.
Theory: Spinel doesn’t have any merch because Rebecca Sugar was salty about how much was spoiled by the 2018 keychains (Pink Diamond, Pearl’s first form, Ruby and Sapphire’s wedding garb, Steven’s tux). Given how much mystery surrounded our favorite pink noodle gal before the movie came out, I’m convinced those keychains put the kibosh on any more official SU merch.
a lot of modern cartoons have a lot of potential for toys and merch and i have no idea why they dont have any.. i need my the owl house funko pops.
it is a crime that there is no Watermelon Steven merch
i wouldve loved if they made a betty spaghetti esque spinel doll/figure with bendy limbs
I always will say it was a missed opportunity not having Garnet Hulk hands
One thing I always found neat about the Steven Universe toys is that you can clearly tell which era they're made in just based on the character's appearances! Like Connie wearing her glasses and a dress, Peridot still having her limb enhancers, and Lapis' color palette being based on her appearance in Ocean Gem dates most of the merch back to early season two. But the Domez having the Watermelon Steven with a flower crown, Lapis with a darker palette, and Peridot without her enhancers dates it to season three. They never really made full-on figures after that so it's cool to see.

I have a scary number of mystery minis. When I got duplicates, I repainted the characters (like giving Garnet her Season 1 look, making a duplicate Rose look like the Hologram Rose Pearl created once, Watermelon Steven, etc.) Glad you were able to find so many Lapises with attached wings!

Wingless Lapis is like an automatic custom if she's a duplicate lol you could also paint another one's eyes and add the crack on her Gem

Back in 2016, I was at a friends house and she showed me random episodes of Steven Universe. They were out of order and from random seasons, so I didn't even know the story lol
But I remember getting her the Rose Quartz toy for her birthday one year
I was a Gravity Falls kid, she was a Steven Universe kid lol
I got a connie funkopop 3-4 years ago when I was CRAZY into the show. It was pretty difficult to get considering I’m in the UK. I don’t really like the show as much anymore, but I love that pop so much because it was really personal and it felt nice that my family were aware enough of my interests to get me something like that.
Also the peace sign Steven is basically Steven living in denial that he's not mentally well (aka Everything is fine. I'm sorry for giving you PTSD)

seeing those big headed mystery minifigs gave me PTSD. years ago i bought so many of them hoping to get peridot but ended up with a lot of garnets.
i never got her BUT i did get the funko mystery mini peridot on my first try... which my dog tore apart literally a few days ago LMAO
Steven wore that hat when he was "selling" the watermellon stevens. Sadie was the only one who insisted on paying to support local businesses.
su toys used to be so hard to find and now theyre almost impossible to find 😭 i managed to get a few but not nearly as many as i wished

Well thanks for the entertaining video. I remember getting a couple of those mini figures with the floating stands before. Shame you did not pull more of those keychains. Because yeah their on model and not trying to do an additional super deformed or stylized take on steven.
I recall there were some steven universe construction figures that were fairly show accurate. Mcfarlane toys made them. The kitchen playset in particular has both a cookie cat, and together breakfast waffles.
I wish there was more Steven Universe merch bc I only have those Funko Mystery Minis thats all I was ever able to find

It's so sad to be a Steven Universe fan in Brazil, there isn't even one product being sold physically or online and when there is it's super expensive, if it weren't for shipping I would spend all my money on Ebay but unfortunately shipping is more expensive than the product itself, I'm so envious that those who live in the US have the chance to have these products more easily
