Smoking Tri Tip Like Steak
Tri tip is a less common cut of beef that I've seen, but pretty cost effective compared to the premium steak cuts, and I think it can arguably come out just as good if done right on a smoker like I'm doing here.
Ingredients:
-I used two trips tips weighing about 2lbs each
-Salt, pepper, beef bouillon powder
-Hickory and cherry wood for smoking
Oven roasted broccoli:
-4 heads broccoli (about 2 lbs)
-3 tbsp olive oil
-salt, pepper
-2 cloves minced garlic
-zest and juice from 1/2 lemon
-parmigiano reggiano

Another great video. I used just throw my meat straight on the smoker from the fridge and I’ve never had any issues. It gives it a few more minutes of smoke. But some people agree with me and some don’t. Regardless awesome video and thanks for all you do.
I agree. I love tri tip. I tried chuck eye steaks last night for Father’s Day for the first time and damn they give a ribeye a run for it’s money. If you haven’t tried them then I highly recommend them.

I enjoyed your video! I independently came to this idea after making something like it as lazy meal prep and just googled Korean jambalaya wondering if someone had tried making it. Next time I'll try something like yours, with more Korean seasonings, it looks like it turned out really nice! If you're interested, I did a lot of the same, but less focused - more Asian-Cajun fried rice. I only used beef and andouille sausages, for the veggies I drained and added canned peas and green beans too, used Lao Gan Ma, soy sauce, and a thicker spicy stir fry sauce instead, and cooked it down with canned tomatoes and the liquid from the veggies. I then mixed some with leftover rice and egg, and topped with sriracha for some added spice. It came together pretty well, but could definitely use some iterating to find the right mix and make something I could actually serve to other people lol.
You should try adding cheese and butter. Game changer.

Yo quiero pan de yucca 🤤! You should try pan de coco like the garífuna bread you will find throughout the Caribbean coast of Honduras and maybe Guatemala as well. It resembles your dinner rolls but with freshly grated coconut and coconut milk. Doesn’t taste like, dried processed coconut flavor. Tastes totally different, but they’re a delectable little-known treasure in the Caribbean coast of Honduras. You would actually LOVE 😍the traditional Honduran seafood soup with coconut milk, plantain and spiced with curry (Honduran-made - sold throughout country and smells insanely fragrant and intoxicating). If you like gumbo, curry plus so coconut milk, you’ll like it!
