I screwed up...

I enjoy smoking things on my Big Joe charcoal smoker, and this time I wanted to try Pork Belly Burnt Ends. However, this time, I made a pretty big mistake that made my final product less than ideal. Although I didn't re-do the recipe correctly, I believe I have all the tools for you to make this properly, and it was a pretty easy fix.
Ingredients:
1 whole skinless pork belly, 5-6 pounds (I used a half of one)
I forgot to salt it!!!!
4-8 tbsp butter
2 tbsp yellow mustard
Rub:
2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp celery salt
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp dark brown sugar
BBQ Sauce:
1.5 cups ketchup
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
4 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp molasses
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp any mustard
Salt + pepper to taste
Leftover barbecue rub
2 tsp hot sauce
2 tsp soy sauce
1/4 cup water
