With the K20A oil pump 45vtc gear do you just time the engine as manufacturers spec
Yep 👍
Good job bro 👍
How much did you spend on the swap? , and how hard was it to install AC on it.
Wish I saw this sooner
Helpful
Where did you get the crash bar? nice video
If u look at the RZA and R40 VTC they’re different. Could I use the R40 VTC on my RZA? Better yet is there anyone who will machine these VTCs? I’d like a little more advance and retard TBH. I need to find the info of how much advance and retard these VTCs have. Anyone have any info? I’m new to K24s.
I know that drag cartel modifies them. That's where I got mine: dragcartel.com/products/modified-vtc-cam-gear
Whats the part number to the flywheel bolts?
90011-PNA-B00
had a 93 coupe, 2.3T swapped-almost identically done. FUN car. not very fast, but certainly a ton of fun.
That about sums it up, reliable car too.
I put a flex fuel kit on my stock 2002 Mustang GT. It ran fine for several days on 44% ethanol content but the day that I refilled the tank I got 61% ethanol content (a mix between 44% and 85% which would make it around 61%) and the car died. This is less than a week after I put in the kit. Turns out that it killed my fuel pump (or was it coincidence?) and I have to replace it. The manufacturer and another youtuber said that neither the fuel pump nor the fuel injectors need to be upgraded from stock. Anyway, I ordered a fuel pump certified for E85 only to find out that the fuel pump housing for the bad pump was of poor design where you have to remove a small hose to get access to the fuel pump. Which caused another problem because I ended up destroying the small hose and can't find a replacement that is SAE 30R10 anywhere. The corrugated hose fits onto an 1/8 inch OD port on each end of the assembly. So, I have to order a complete assembly with a fuel pump pre-installed because you can't get just the housing from any manufacturer. You might not be able to specify an E85 compatible fuel pump either. I'm not a happy junior mechanic right now.
LMR has some options with an upgraded pump installed such as: lmr.com/item/LRS-9350E/1998-04-Mustang-255-Lph-Walbro-Gss342-Fuel-Pump
Definitely not a car from the valley
Is that fan pushing air into the condenser or pulling?
You had to cut the driveshaft, yes?. Have 2 84 gt t 2.3t's, had one all my life. A pretty cool and popular swap, keep info out to others.
Very cool car ! I love these old mustangs! I had one of the 1979 turbo 2.3 and it had no intercooler so the power just wasn’t that good but it was as powerful as the V8 of the same year .
Does anyone know how would i go in tuning my ECU im new to this thanks in advance
Find a tuner or check out HP Academy to learn how to do it yourself.
I made my 2022 Prius into a flex fuel vehicle, but there was/is no real benefits. Just something I wanted to do for years. I do put E85 into my 3.6l v6 engine my flex fuel minivan has for maximum power. (My priuss are 120 hp combined, ford is 170 hp, but my minivan is 260)
The hp?
195 WHP on dyno
@@e-dodThanks and the RPMs are different with the modifications?
Great vid bro! Do you have a way to contact you? Email, IG? I have a few questions on FPR.
Hit me up @edod.garage on instagram I am not very active but try to reply to messages.
@@e-dod What’s up man. I have a question on FPRs. I have a Weldon А2040 - 281-А- 15 which the spring psi is 3-15psi. My car is NA right now… is that enough for turbo set up or should I go with higher psi spring?
I think I installed mine locked and when I went to start the car heard a weird noise think it caused it
Did you hold the cam with a wrench when you torqued it down? If you held the cam you should be good even if it was locked. After discussing with some others in the comments here we came to the conclusion that its only risky if you hold the teeth of the gear and torque it down in the locked position.
how much freon did you add ?
about 1.5 cans.
Do you know what year this motor was? Do the new 06-08 have this installed already?
No, 06-08 TSX engine still has 25 deg.
RESPECT BROTHER 🫡💯👌🏽
wow bro this build is so clean🔥🔥god bless 🙏🏽
Great video
What’s Type of screws/bolts you used ? Please help me
Nothing special, just some small bolts from local hardware store/Lowes. Make sure to grab some lock washers though so they won't rattle loose.
Dis you have to change the computer to be able to tune it?
Yes. I am running a PIMP XS from stinger.
What alternator bracket setup are you using? Just noticed you have a 90° ported upper intake, but the alternator sits high and outside of it. Seems like a nicer option than going the 120° upper rotation.
Stock turbo coupe bracket. Removed top alternator bolt and just rotated alternator over. Has worked fine for last 10 years.
@@e-dod is it literarily just cranked down tightly in the rotation bolt? No other mounting point to keep it in place? That’s a super clean way to run a 90° intake with the stock alternator bracket
if i just want to replace the spring on the vtc gear by removin the 4 bolts while still mounted on the engine, does it matter if its in the lock position or not? apparently the spring goes bad inside the vtc on honda's cr-v certain years, and would like to replace it.
No, you can just take it apart in either position.
Thank you for this
Looks like an area a kid would jump out in front of you
True, just spooling it a bit though.
I run my 11F-150 on it. Bad mileage but so fun! Warning, it does cause you to have a led foot.
i will pay you to do this for my ek sedan... i want to do a wire tuck sooo bad but i'm not good at all with wiring!!! i need you man lol phenomenal job!!
Nice one 👍 💯
Thanks 🔥
wrong ignition wire spot don’t used a fuse get the power from the wire at the conector
Just the thought about A/C civic in 2024 specially k series swap sounds like $12k+ civic
We just want to see a video where you're putting parts and explainin
Hopefully will have one soon
Very good
I had 89 mustang. My oldest brother got It new handed it down my middle brother then me. I loved it ran it freshmen to jr year I'm high school. Great memories took me everywhere.
That's awesome all of you got to enjoy the car.
So did you replace the water pump/alt with the 2005 accord one?? Sounded like you said the mounts won’t line up?
Yes, I used 2005 accord water pump housing, water pump, alternator and crank pulley
Great video! Easy to understand and well thought out!
Glad it was helpful!
did you have to measure the brake booster push rod against the different brake MC and adjust to get it within specs?
No it all worked fine without any adjustment.
great to see this project.
may i know where can find P clamp like that you use?

Can i run a accord trans with jdm k24a. And what harness and ecu should i get
Yes, that's what I did. I used a Hondata K-Pro ECU from hybrid racing and a modified 2002 RSX harness. I have a video where I customized the harness to work with the K24
Pull the charge wire off the alternator for a couple days and see if the battery keeps a charge. One of the diodes could be blown and no long only one way, which means.... it will charge when running, but have a constant high amp draw when it's not running.
Thanks for the tip! I will keep this in mind for future issues. I ended up fixing this issue in a subsequent video.
Great video!! I’m prepping my JDMk24, and need to swap the water pump housing too. Since you used the accord housing, did you use the accord water pump? Also what USDM alternator do you use?
I used accord water pump and alternator.
@@e-dod so water pump housing, water pump, and alternator all from the same year accord? What year?
@@joelvillalobos4279 I got it from 2005 accord.
15/16 wrench and a socket couldve made your job 10x easier
The amount of work is outstanding! Cant believe this doesnt have more views. That case looks brand new!
Merry Christmas!!! Man thanks for these vids. I’m an electronic tech and love Honda and have an 88 accord hatchback I’m trying to drop a k24a jdm motor into it. By mid Jan the engine will be in place so I can measure axles and have the engine where it needs to go. Once done with that I want to do the wiring myself. So your page will help. I might blow you up with questions. Lmk how to get a hold of you, if it’s cool.

I'm about to start this task tomorrow. It's refreshing to see someone take pride in there work. Im super ocd with wiring as well god be with me.
