What an awful change. Normal players did not want this backwards development. This change is the result of big, fragile ego streamers dying on their stream and then complaining to all their viewers that in turn will mindlessly parrot favorite streamers opinion. We REALLY need in game voting system so that streamers with Nikita's phone number don't have this outsized influence. It's literally a regression and backwards progress. They could iterate on the health system to make it even better, but instead we get these comically and unrealistically large armor plate hitboxes that don't correlate visually with the armor models at all. Back to forcefield armor and bullet sponges. Low pen ammo back to obscurity.

Just give us the old armor and hitbox system back. Armor plates make sense in Gray Zone, but not in Tarkov

with that change they should lower the ammo from vl 4 traders to lvl 2 and 3 for ammo with pen 40, also add ammo with pen 55 in to lvl 4

If they want to use a realistic armor system they will need a more realistic torso health system to go along with it.

A while ago: "We're making armor more realistic, so that only the parts covered by plates are protected." Now: "We're making armor less realistic so that the plates cover way more than the model implies. Ammo is staying worse and harder to get, though."

The reason of using this particular tube and lock is because this build was given as a quest reward during previous event with flash drives.

the fact fact the new hitboxes make shit like the straps to be armored is some bullshite. The armor was fine imo. it was the actual body hitboxes were an issue and this is just another bandaid. Sounds like the majority of ppl are terrible at looting, i for one have never ran out of AP ammo.

Thanks to all the cry babies armor was a lot better than what it is now under geared players have a lot harder time killing someone. Who cares if you where tier 6 shouldn’t be able to run around like call of duty

Thanks for the explanation, playing PVE you cannot avoid the "PCs" like you can in PVP. They are parked on all the objectives and they just sit there. Or they spawn in around you and instant fire you from several directions. I have been killed from the front in a slick and fast helmet with the full face mask in one hit of 5.45 PS with none of my amour was damaged at all.

literally the only people that are crying about the new armor change are the people that spent 50-200 roubles per bullet and abused the rework of armor. Theirs a reason theirs been SO many AI deaths this wipes to players. Ive died more to AI this wipe alone than i have in my 4-5 years of playing combined. Yes worse rounds shouldnt be going through lvl 4-6 plates that should be covering specific areas, but they werent. Lvl 3-4 bullets shouldnt be able to shoot my lower shoulder and it count towards my thorax and if its a .366 fmj it just 1 taps me. If i have a lvl 5 plate i want it to act like a lvl 5 plate. if you try to say the whole realism argument, i dont wanna hear it. In this game you can put lip balm and run on broken legs, sow limbs together, HEALTH SYSTEM, Bosses that you have to headshot 2-3 times, run around 60 kilos and inject stims into myself to make me colder/suddenly not feel weight. Pick and choose these realism battles.

Those new hitboxes are so ridiculously large that I'm pretty sure they will lead to a problem where bullets are being double-blocked by overlapping plates.

Hell just make it like Realism Mod on SPT where you gotta take off armor and helmet to heal 😅

I liked the old system. I think tarkov should be brutal and unpredictable and the more advanced plate hitboxes reflected that. It also gave more consideration for what armour to use, rather than just the armour class

Thanks nikitita for adding a great armor hitbox system and making different armors worth considering just to ruin it within a couple of months instead of giving our character vital organs to aim for and fixing the actual issues with the fucking game

At this point they should just model each vital organ in the chest, instead of making the whole chest a vital area. Note, I haven’t played for the last 4 wipes.

The biggest thing I just learned in this video is that your shooting range has actually multiple interaction points to control it. I didn't even know you could open that gate. I was just vaulting over it like an idiot xD

i do not like the new armor layout, id much prefer a more realistic layout like instead of making all thorax hitzones the same, make a vitals zone that every plate covers just like in real life, a shot to the side shouldnt do the same damage as to the heart t
