youre content is way too late ... pretty cringe .. even causal players already played this gun.. i mean, the Wipe is already 3 MONTH"s ! u just need the Barter Trade NO quest and u can get this on Fleh. When u play this gun alot, the Hybrid ammo was also bugged in the first Month and u cant even tell that.. its sad.
The Big CONTENT in Tarkov! is the problem "good players get punished" u have to wait for gunsmith, spawn rate boss"s and the easy way to play around cheaters cuz u can see the profile when u search for lobby (there is no way a 200H player played with FLIr and is lvl 52 with 15KDA) . watch more pestily pls

It's locked so far down the lightkeeper questline and vastly over valued on the flea that it's never going to be a balance problem. That means BSG will remove it from the flea and marked rooms so only sweaty no lifers will ever get to use it after this wipe.
I hope it stays in marked rooms even if it gets flea restricted

This is basically the conclusion I came too. As I am the only one in the LK questline, my buddies asked me how it was and basically, it would be the absolute meta if not for the cost, as it costs similar to the black MDR and it comes fully modded, not to mention the ammo is incredible for the recoil and cost
SO many 140hr standard 'chads' running this gun with all the boss achievements this wipe! I'm glad everyone but me is having a good time.

The muzzle velocity makes it such a breeze to hit long shots with. I popped a 350m one tap on woods just using the first mil-dot.

That's my main sight/buttpad/handgrip combo for that run of AR's so good!
Ever since I completed Trouble In The Big City this is literally like the only weapon I run, I max buy the ammo and mags every reset to make sure I have enough

BSG do this with nearly every new gun - make it OP for the first wipe it appears to generate excitement, then a nerf in the next wipe. SR2MP, SVT/AVT, etc are recent examples.
Some are shit since their release. But like in every shooter this is called balancing the META. And hopefully an old design smg and a 19th century rifle should not be overpowered and so easy to shoot. SVT is still too good IMHO
SR2 is still good, and svt/avt are exacly what they always were a funny gun thats not exacly good

@@deathbringer9893 If it was a feature that PMCs could jam other PMC's guns with the boss melee you'd see a TON of people using it and making videos going around jamming people's guns, but I haven't seen any instances of that happening other than the boss himself doing it
You can get the spear from farming rogues on lighthouse. I’ve gotten 2 from the past roughly 10 rogue kills. (i only scav LH)
Yet no one talks about how it weighs more than the SA-58 with a drum mag, and costs more than it as well. Base weight for the SPEAR is 4.320 KG, Base weight for the SA-58 and 3.951KG, almost a full pound, which does get in the way of people who haven't been building strength. All in all, SA-58 is more cost effective regardless of its recoil pattern, even if you bring in 3+1 mags of 60 rounders filled with M80.

Id probably use primarily FMJ for money runs with a couple mags of hybrid on quieter servers
Gun itself can easily cost you 600k+ roubles if you're buying it from the flea market. So realistically we're looking at more than million roubles for a raid kit... might as well just fully pack it with best ammo.

Theres only one reason why Id use FMJ, and thats to "larp" as a US Army man, SIG FMJ exists as training ammo because its cheaper and less hard on the gun, and Hybrid is for actual combat with its additional capabilities. Everyone else considering using the SPEAR should absolutely just use hybrid
The other sig rifle is also MASSIVELY benefiting from recoil changes. Wiping the goons with .300 whisper is almost too easy.... If u can find them that it. 😅
The name of the cartridge in general is the .300 blackout. The whisper is basically non existent, AAC won

Opened a marked room with a mate, found a SIG spear.
Was gonna sell it but my mate likes high end guns so I gave it to him.

Due to the price I might not run this gun the whole wipe! I’d need a big raid to cover just the initial fee, and I’ve got no quests rn to justify using it . Don’t see what it does better than the MDR, especially in price. But then again, if you have absolute highest traders and cash I’d probs run it
i always try to stay away from meta, but i think the spear will be an exception. mainly cause its one of my favorite guns irl

I just hope this isnt the only wipe the spear is available. I think everyone agrees the spear is op but i hardly see anyone use it. I hope this opens the possibility of other guns being available on the flea.
the preset costs 800k at the moment...pretty much people are scared to lose it in a raid if they die... If i get one in a raid i would probably save it until i get another one.

This gun was made in real life to be better than all other options, not just by its design but it also needed a new round as well. Crazy ass gun and makes sense to be the strongest weapon and I’m sure it won’t go anywhere.
Spear fanboy here. It s just a multicaliber heavy ar 18, nothing crazy about it. And i dont think it is good in every situation. For example in cqc. 300. Blackout or 5.56 are the gold standard and special force are still using their 416 or their mcx. Actually it is just a heavier scar-H and like the mk17 before it will never replace intermediate cartridge shooting rifles.
@@floben3041 it’s better than either, you need to understand the platform of the weapon. Equivalent rpm to an m4 shooting a round that is zipping down range faster with more energy transferred at the point of impact. The spear is straight out better than any platform utilizing 556 or 300 blackout. You need to read on the 6.8x51 which is the military designation for 277 Fury but the difference between the two is like 223 REM compared to M855. The 6.8x51 is capable of 80k psi for the pressure chamber……that’s fucking crazy cause it’s more than 50 bmg which is substantially bigger. When the NGSW program became a thing, the product is the Spear and its new round.

What about cqc? Urban warfare ?what about overpenetration? What about the noise of such a round. Fullsize cartridge for infantry was already a mistake made in the beginning of the century, it s still one but a very expansive one this time. And in the end, what about the plateform ? The sig spear itself you're loving so much? Because you were talking about the cartridge a lot. High rpm as you said ? No one is going full auto with a 20 round mag with very expansive rounds and furthermore with AR10 like high recoil.

The spear is a platform capable of cqc cause it’s a small platform cause that was one of the requirements. Spear is a beautiful and sick gun. However, Mr. Beef makes this game look easy with any gun. Which gives me the notion that I can just waltz right thru a map like a stroll on Sunday, and lemme tell you that it does NOT go down like that. LOL. That being said, Thanx, continually, for all the great content!

If you have the capability to keep yourself above 10mil constantly, in my opinion. I'm at 40mil but can drop 5 mil in a single night, but always make that back thru scavs and light loot runs. Basically know what loot sells for a lot in the flea and know your high value loot spots.

Its sad i cant play this weapon my fear of all cheaters in lobby honing on my position in mere seconds its just too high.
Both as PMC and Pscav I ALWAYS kill spear boys with full kits. But as soon as I pick up a spear I end up dying to some Timmy. That gun is absolutely cursed for me. So many times I've wiped 3 mans and then got rolled by some random AI scav one tap thorax or a Timmy lmao
I won't stay this way, every time there's a new best weapon it gets nerfed at some point when people have used it enough

It’s OP irl, the culmination of centuries of small-arms weaponry have lead to the Spear. It comes with an optic that gives you irl aimbot, watch garand thumbs vid for more info
Don't put too much faith into pentagon projects that promise and show how it "works" (in a perfect scenario they planned beforehand). Just look at zumwalt, commanche, litoral combat ships... list goes on. It's just "legal" money laundering.
That's not how real life works, it's good but irl isn't a video game where you win by paper stats alone

you carry less ammo with it, its heavy, higher recoil impulse than an ar-15 pattern rifle, it doesn't do its job on punching through lv 4 plates at range, and the vortex optic system can be used with any rifle with rails. there is nothing special about the spear, the army looped back around to battle rifles that will be dropped again for intermediate cartridges as soon as the next forever war takes place if they ever mass adopt the rifle.
please explain how its the culmination of small arms development in your own words, its literally just an ar-18 system in a necked down 308. hardly ground breaking
Honestly, who cares on price anymore. Bitcoins are making the entire game meaningless. With the economy in the way it is, this is already engaged honestly. Don't wait until endgame to use this gun. The only downside of this gun is that cheaters will hard target you for it, you literally are always tagged and cursed.
Pretty sure this gun is bugged and very often doesn't register your shots. Basically this gun will get the empty mag glitch way more often than other guns. This gun is severely overrated because of these bugs.
That’s what I’ve been saying. I stocked up on over 1000 hybrid ammo to use it and it sucked. Sold all the ammo lol. .308 still on top

I've played pretty much every day this wipe and there's only been 2 occasions when I've been certain I've died to a cheater. It's felt a lot more legitimate in comparison to earlier wipes.

Idk I started late last wipe and this game has me hooked. Outside of my normal grand strategy genre this is the best game I've ever played. Yea it has issues but damn has it got something that keeps me coming back and my heart racing
