I really miss your channel. There doesn’t seem to be hardly anyone good to watch on YT anymore. Would love to have you back to talk about homeschooling, mothering, marriage, and simple living.

She doesn’t post often but over the past 7 years I have watched and rewatched all of her stuff. She’s by no means trendy or an influencer and not necessarily our style. But her presence and words make me feel “right” in my heart. No striving but she joyfully presents simplicity and contentment. I watch her whenever I need a reset on my mind. Wish I could be her friend in real life!”

I wear dresses everyday just like you. I'm so glad I found this video. I'm 5 months pregnant with my 5th baby and I really want to live more simply. I have decluttered a lot but I still have so much. I loved when you said you were trying to live a simple life for the glory of his kingdom. That resonated with me so much because I spend a lot of time managing my things taking care of kids clothes and everything that there is to do. I really want to live even more simply

I wear skirts or dresses exclusively. These I pair with a cardigan, vest, or jacket or blazer. As a classic, almost daily I use a belt, pearls (both genuine and costume) and a scarf to feel put together. I often receive compliments on my appearance. I enjoy the art of dressing in a modest and feminine manner. A simple black skirt and a simple black dress are the mainstays of my wardrobe. Then I love a bright pop of colour in the sweater or jacket.

Wish you would show the dresses a bit better

Any suggestions from others who live in a four season area for a capsule wardrobe? We have very distinct seasons such as 104 heat index and humid to below zero and many inches of snow. Clothes for home and housework, hiking and then church. Suggestions appreciated

Getting things secondhand is really important to me, too, even if it's "cheaper" to buy an item new from Amazon or Shein or something like that. My favorite things to wear are black denim shorts that I got from my neighborhood Buy Nothing group and one of the tank tops/t-shirts I got from my apartment building's giveaway area. Giveaway areas are pretty common in low-to-middle-income apartment buildings in New York City because folks declutter their spaces all the time, and it's easier to put stuff out for your neighbors to take than it is to transport it all the way to a donation center. Thank you for sharing your closet with us!

Praying for your family!

My husband has never had social media either (and never will). It’s actually strengthening toward our marriage - one thing we never have to consider or feel insecure/uncertain about, as I know many couples do. This was very helpful, Joy. My family is definitely a minimalist when it comes to things outside the home on the regular. But I needed this reminder tonight when getting out of the house for midweek church (our only thing right now) wasn’t possible between my husbands job and the state of our home at that moment. It made most sense to let him rest and clean up together rather than push to the next thing and come home exhausted and frustrated at all that needed to be done. Thanks for chatting about this! I am now writing down my priorities and praying God gives me wisdom and grace. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Joy, I’m a follower of Christ, wife and first time mum of a 4 month old living in Australia. I found your channel while I was pregnant and watched your videos a few times :) It’s so great to see you back on CZcams as you’ve encouraged me so much. Another great resource that my husband and I use is the app Through The Word. It goes through the Bible by chapter and then reads the chapter after the devotion. Highly recommend! So lovely to see you back again ❤ looking forward to more of your videos!
