When it is about safety, technology will be used to warn you, before penalising you. When it about money, it about trapping you, by not telling you about the trap "new cameras" instead they will try to trap you, even improve their chances of trapping you, by slowing you down to get trapped.

I've never understood the seatbelt thing. How is not wearing a seatbelt doing any harm to anybody else? I don't understand the "causing a distraction" argument, that's complete nonsense. The only thing I get is I don't suppose it's much fun for the emergency services cleaning up the mess afterwards, but then I don't suppose shovelling shit is the best part of a sewage worker's job.

How about catching the drivers who drive down closed lanes for miles just to push in because they’re more important than everyone else. Stafford is always 60mph regardless of its empty or busy. Also these smart motorways always change the speed limit when the camera’s are on that signal ( to the left) showing the reduced speed limit again to catch people out.

And the burglary detection rate in London is as low to zero as its possible to get.

but if your on your phone your not looking forward to see said broken down car . people dont look far enough forward when driving, I stopped a broken down car in the inside lane moved over tot he middle and left room for the car that was in front of me that only saw at the last minuet that the car was stationary. as for all the cameras the "AI" ones not only get you for on the phone ( which I think is a good thing ) butt also get the speeders bother ways on coming and driving passed unlike the old Gatso crap. the main point Why hid it ? that makes it out to catch people and not warn them. the next thing as they become cheaper the new camera's will be spread all over replacing the old with the new and catching speeders both ways. If they are slowing down the motorway for the camera isnt that wrong ? abuse of power ?

The cameras are good, but the authoritarian reduction of speed limits is wrong. Speed limit should be dropped for emergencies, not because of the need for a camera to work

Hi greg,sorry I'm late watching and commenting,these highways should NOT be risking your life and treating you like the do because you've said stuff about them before and if they are they need to be accountable for their actions if thats true,they dont value people's lives by the looks of it but maybe if their family member was stranded in a dangerous position and something bad happened to them they might change their attitude then but shouldn't be like that,the shift change should be staggered by an hour so their are people on duty at all times thats just piss poor organisation by highways,have a good day greg

This type of camera was trailed in the south west the chief of police for that area was on crime watch talking about it a few years ago. There’s also a camera not far from Leigh delamere services on the M4 westbound a driver I know got caught with no seat belt at 1 in the morning he thinks it might be in the gantry? He was waiting for the photo

I'm sure this is illegal use of temporary speed limit order?. Its not and incident or accident and if the only reason to slow you down is to capture you on a camera its surely mis use.
