How Canada's Economy Became The Most Pathetic In The World: The Collapse Of A Nation
This is a graph showing a massive sign of the dire state of canada’s pathetic economy. And its actually not to do with any hot button issues like canada’s insane housing prices, the affordability crisis, or Toronto maple leafs fans hopes and dreams crushed once again.
You see, this is the net amount of investment between canada and the usa every year in the amount of billions of dollars. From 2001 up until 2014, Canada took in tens of billions of more foreign investment from the united states than vice versa. Meaning that businesses large and small, from walmart, to your local carpenter, were much more likely to move to canada and grow the economy, than it is was for a business to leave canada for the united states.
However, this changed in 2015, and it coincidentally or not, lined up with the current liberal government getting into power. And quickly, over the course of the next decade, Canadian businesses, investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals started taking their money out of canada, and moving it to the united states. And buckle up, because this number is so shocking, that it inspired me to make this video on it.
By 2022, $1 trillion dollars in book value had left canada for the united states and a net value of about $460 billion dollars. That is $11,500 per person in canada, in net investment leaving the canada for the united states.
And that number for 2023 is estimated to potentially reach half a trillion dollars in net outflow of investments from canada to the united states. Or about $12,500 per person.
Keep in mind, that represents potentially tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of jobs for canadians, potentially much higher wages, maybe higher innovation, research, building of machines, contracts, opportunities for businesses and so on.
Half a trillion dollars. That might actually be enough money to help bribe satan to lift the curse off of the leafs. A number that i thought was impossible.
But the question is, why is this? Why is so much investment leaving canada for the usa, and why aren’t american businesses investing as much in canada? Well, once again, this is a sign of a dying economy.
Lets start off with one reason why no one wants to invest in canada. There is something called the OECD's FDI regulatory restrictiveness index. And what it tries to do is summarize how easy it is for a foreign entity to invest in a country.
The easiest country to invest in is germany, japan is somewhat in the middle of the pack. The united states is actually double most of the other nations on this list. And then there’s canada…essentially tripling the difficulty to invest in the country. And this is because of a litany of laws, regulations, taxes, and more. And the irony is, its is extremely difficult to invest in canada at the moment, yet, it is extremely easy to move to canada, as canada currently has the highest immigration rate in the history of the western world, which is also a sign of a dying economy, but we’ll get to that in a bit.
You see, canada is apart of this globalized economy, and whether you like it or not, a globalized economy allows for big businesses to see the entire world as their playing field, not just their home country.
So when canada has the highest total corporate tax rate in the world, and plans to keep raising it, the corporate overlords of canada have no allegiance to stay and lose out on their billions of dollars in profits, when they can legally park it in another country and save that money.
thoughtleadership.rbc.com/canadas-growth-challenge-why-the-economy-is-stuck-in-neutral/
And even the ones that keep their money in canada, tend to not do anything with it. You see the big banks in canada and the largest corporations have the equivalent of one third of the countries entire GDP sitting in Bank accounts, doing nothing. Not investing in the country, or creating jobs. Just sitting.

I used to say two decades ago to my then girlfriend that Canada isn’t a real country but a huge, open prison run by a big corrupt corporation. The youth, which is the future of a country, is absolutely neglected and even utterly ignored and overlooked, by their own families, under the poor guise of some sick, twisted and distorted understanding of “individualism”. The Canadian society are a very dry, rigid, racist, rude, selfish, antisocial and cruel people. As soon as the young ones turn numerically 18, families, to be very accurate, “disown” them. Their own children! Of course there are exceptions. But the big picture is filled with depression in various forms and kinds. The civilised dreamland is only a package and reality. I’m Mediterranean. In mediterranean countries such as Greece, Italy, Spain, Portuguese etc, family is everything and it’s for life, full stop. We always stick together and care for each other. That’s why we don’t need external support and that’s why we don’t become lost and depressed. That and the sunny climate of the entire geographical region, and the overall lifestyle which is much more relaxed and laid back than the dark, cold, robotic and depressing Canada, where the youth “commits suicide” due to the bottomless pit of hopelessness. The very existence of such a cruel and careless so called society is in itself a tragedy. Of course, what Canada ALSO does to the poor seals up north must not be forgotten or ignored either. Furthermore, it MUST be fiercely opposed and protested against collectively. Canada needs major, fierce, assertive reformation.

Math correction: You can't get average percent increases by doing an arithmetic mean; you need a geometric mean. A 122% increase over seven years is an average increase of 12% a year, not 19% a year. This is because increasing something by 12% a year would lead to a 122% increase over 7 years. If something were to increase 19% a year, that would lead to a 238% increase over 7 years.

I feel that we should set up more programs to teach the first offenders, education is what criminals lack, introduce ai robots to the farmers fields, stop selling our oil and lumber to everyone, put a hold on fishing and hunting for at least 10 years and most importantly and I say this with love but we must stop taking in immigrants at this time cause there just ending up on the unemployment line or at best a cheap shitty doctor that milks you through your ohip card with every test and medication possible before you just end up figuring out the problem yourself, I'm serious how do these guys get through university.

She had me and eventually returned to the U.K. for family reasons saddened to have left it all behind. I visited many times as a kid, teenager, young man and later as a professional for expos… I had been thinking of coming over and spending a few years in Canada, bringing my business skills and enjoying the outdoors… but I have been following this slow political car crash. I am shocked and appalled at what has happened to the country. Immigration, exacerbating housing shortage, people sleeping on ventilation vents in the street, rising crime, protesters having their bank accounts closed and civil liberties eroded. So sad and shocked. Good people, tolerant, being taken advantage of by those ‘unseen behind the political puppet’. I hope it turns around. I hope to see Canada 🇨🇦 as it was…

the revolution against insane ultra liberal politics (which have become a front for corporate ownership of everything, and hyper invasive government in the modern day) is coming for all western nations, including Canada, the US, the UK and France, amongst others. I don't know if Canada will still be a country in 2050. the social contract has been irrevocably broken, and even ultra liberals are waking up. I'm a lifelong democrat who is deeply ashamed and will be voting conservative for the first time in my life in the upcoming US elections, from the top to the bottom of the ballot. I'm voting for Trump, and I used to mistrust and malign Trump. I don't care what he's said in the past - his policies worked. the US improved economically under his leadership, unlike Biden, and we need to get back to that, and go even further. putting america first, stopping the influx of unskilled immigrants that immediately get government funds that are near impossible for the rest of us to obtain while driving up housing costs and increasing crime rates, aggressively drilling and actually using the US's natural resources to improve the economy by lowering prices on everything for americans, and getting rid of stupid regulations. the insanity has to stop - no more insane regulations that make everything more expensive and stop investment, most importantly, real estate development, which is Trump's area of expertise. he plans to deregulate the real estate sector to allow for more housing development, which will lower housing costs for everyone. he's planning to make huge changes, and now he actually has the conservative party fully behind him, so that his second is not chaotic like the first, these changes can be made more effectively, and quickly. with Biden's decline and the terrible state of the economy and the country in general, I think conservatives will take the White House, and Congress as well. there are many first time young conservative voters, like myself, who are fed up with liberal lies, and have started to see the light. Trump said just the other day during a major interview, "I didn't really know what I was doing the first time, since I was coming from the world of business, and I had the wrong people around me back then because Washington politics is very different from New York business, but it's going to be very different this time. I have the right people now who will listen to me, I got rid of the weak people, and it's going to be much better this time around", which is probably the most humility I've ever heard from Trump. he knows he messed up the first time in terms of public image, even if his economic policies were spot on. he learned from that, and I think his restraint during the first debate, even in the face of a clearly debilitated Joe Biden who would have been easy to attack with low blows, shows that he's learned from his past. I'm looking forward to Trump this time, as a first time Trump voter, and a first time conservative voter. these delusional liberal policies have got to go, permanently.
