I'd be down to see video like this about Craig. Looking back it's interesting how many different niches and characterizations he's gone through, from being one of the background kids with a flip-off gimmick, to sorta being Stan's rival for a while, then reimagined as a sardonic character poking holes in the plot, to changing again when he was paired with Tweek.

It's tangentially related, but i still find it hilarious that another creator i follow, Thor from PirateSoftware, is the son of the villain in this episode. He's talked about it on stream that the no-life is based on his dad who worked at Blizzard at the time.

crazy to think that Kenny was revealed to be the Villain in South Park Stick of Truth. Like did he want to give being a bad guy a try or did he intentionally do that so the New Kid could fart on his balls and save the town

Game of tones broke me, even after they hug we see the mother briefly waking up and smiling, it's so full of love. Really nice video!

The first 4-5 episodes are seriously very weak. I almost didn't continue the show because of how bad they are.

Im pretty sure this was my first episode as South Park as a kid. As an 8 or maybe even 6 year old gamer, i fell in love with the show for as little or much as i could understand in it over the years. This is THE South Park episode IMO and that will never change, even if i didnt really like WoW when i tried it after watching it 😂

A similar thing happened with Lois in ‘My Adventures With Superman’. Spoilers for the show, but Lois manages to figure out Clark is Superman a few episodes into the first season. Lois tries to kinda get Clark to confess it to her, until she eventually gets so fed up with it that she just jumps off a building to force him to save her and reveal the truth. Then Lois gets upset with Clark for lying to her this whole time and people were upset about it. Mind you, Lois had already expressed to Clark an episode before that she had a sour spot about people lying to her after her dad lied about her mother’s health. We also see she is deeply insecure due to her still being an intern and Clark seemingly being one of the only people who believes in her. Doesn’t help either that the Superman case in the first place was what she felt was her one chance to prove she deserves to be a real reporter, yet the guy who she needed to interview for it was standing next to her this whole time. She has a lot of reasons to be upset about it, even if we completely understand where Clark is coming from keeping that secret. Hell, she isn’t even mad for that long, it’s literally just one episode where she’s upset but then they talk about it and she forgives him. Yet people still started complaining about it and completely dismissing why she might be upset with Clark lying.

This was the episode where I went from a casual observer of this show to a huge fan. I've never seen anything else that speaks to generational trauma so well. The story telling in this episode led me down a path of exploring these patterns in my own family - from the plane wreck that killed my great grandmother, through 2 generations of abusive matriarchs. I'm working hard to break the cycle in my own life. It's difficult when you don't have someone guiding you down a path of healing.

It baffles me how much hate Amber gets even now. I understand the whole ‘I already knew you were Invincible’ scene feels a little mean spirited, but I totally get where she’s coming from. It is really unfair to Amber that she has to constantly be lied to and left alone by Mark even for things that are important to her. Mark is obviously doing the best he can with balancing her and his superhero life, but that doesn’t magically make it easy for Amber, especially when she feels lied to by Mark all this time. Season 2 did a phenomenal job showing just why that’s hard for Amber even when she DOES know the truth. Not only can she never really spend time with Mark anymore, but she feels guilty about the time they do spend together since she knows he could be out there doing other superhero stuff. It’s just crazy to me that people still want to complain about Amber when the show has given ample reason to understand her situation. And all over a single scene, too! Invincible fans are able to recognize that Nolan changed from the genocidal viltrumite he started out as, why can’t they give the same courtesy to Amber?

What ? Fuckin rock.. No way I hear about new Futurama episodes just now. Useless algorithms still work at Bethesda NPC levels.

The ending beening not finish not anymore

You are one of my favorite CZcamsr because your content is so complete and compelling, but here you overlooked a gigantic part of the argument, the source material. Before I begin, don’t say that the source material is its own thing and the show shouldn’t be judged based on that. The show is adapting the source material because many people loved it and comparing the two is a must when analyzing the story. To make my point I want to compare two female characters that saw changes from page to tv, Amber (of course) and Debbie. Debbie’s change was that she became more realistic. In the comic she was for the most part in the background of the story. She was the perfect suburban wife and mom just taking care of the boys. She sort of finds out about the fight between Omni-man and Mark through the TV while doing the laundry. In the aftermath of the fight she says something to Mark no mom should say to her son “Why did you have to fight him, why did you have to drive him back?”. The Debbie of the show becomes an active part of the investigation on Omni-man’s plans. In the aftermath she is destroyed, but tries to keep up a strong face for her son. We can all agree this is a remarkable improvement over the comic. Amber in the comics is your classical high school girl. Her relationship with Mark follows the same hurdles as in the show. Mark has to constantly leave and break promises with her to go save people. In the battle against the reanimated men, Amber believes Mark was just out for himself and ends up breaking up with him. He goes for broke and goes to tell her everything. So far the show and the comics sort of follow the same path. The one major difference is when all of this happens. In the show this happens before the fight between Omni-man and Invincible while in the comics it happens after. Mark tells Amber the truth comics: Amber believes he is a drug dealer. Once he tells her she laughs it off and challenges him to prove it. Once he comes with the costume and powers she is amazed at the revelation and then proceeds to give Mark a chance to explain in detail what’s been going on. Once he reaches the part about his fight with his dad she comforts him. Show: Mark straight up comes flying in his costume and tells her and Amber proceeds to say the words that doomed her to be hated for the rest of the show run “I have known for weeks” This implies that every time she chastised Mark for not being there, she was knowingly causing mental anguish to someone in constant danger. Informed consent is a term I live by being in the healthcare profession, so let me give you my perspective on the matter. Once you are informed, you have to make a decision regarding your care. If Amber knew for weeks then she had weeks to make an informed decision. Even if Mark wasn’t the one to tell her, that point becomes almost mute once she found out. If she wasn’t willing to endure the hardships that come with being with a superhero, she could have walked away, instead she strung him along. This was rectified in the second season, but at that point there was no coming back for her.

Being young even if you are an adult, is true if you have somebody much older than you, you will feel the difference. I'm on my 20's but I was before with a guy that was pretty old for me, he was not even like Mr.PB but more a groomer, man then I realized than even if I prefer much older dudes, is better for me getting an adult around my age, the older men whant to manipulate you.

Women being the voice of reason or the mary-sue in media is an overplayed clichè that really sets the role of women to an higher standard than they can afford to reach in real life. I want to see a female character that's just as much of a wreck has the male's, then we're talking

As someone who just recently became a fan of South Park, I got the impression that she was a popular character with how much screen time she gets and one of the best scenes in the show where she beats the ever-loving sh*t of Cartman. She also has great scenes in the the “Fractured but Whole” video game

Hey Johnny I wanted to let you know your passion for South Park and constant posting of it got me to give the show a fair shot. It took me to age 27 to fall in love with it but I totally get the appeal now. 😂 Edit; also thanks for Johnny2Cozy I’ve started falling asleep to youtube so dedicated channels like that are great ❤️ back when it was airing I’d watch the futurama episode then watch the corresponding Cartoons That Curse episode.

Stumbled upon Pantheon by complete accident, two weeks ago. Never had a reason to get Amazon Prime until now. What a ride this show was!
