I actually cannot believe that the Hazbin Hotel pilot dropped FOUR entire years ago, that seriously wrinkles my brain. This indie animation pilot changed the game in so many ways, and now, after FOUR long years, the first season has finally premiered on Amazon Prime. I don’t think it’s an understatement to say that this may be one of the most anticipated series in history. Which CERTAINLY has its pros and cons. With all that attention not only comes hype and success, but scrutiny. Luckily people on social media are super normal about Hazbin Hotel! SO, did the series live up to the hype, was it worth the wait!? Let’s talk about it! And also throw a fun theory out there that the thumbnail and/or title probably forecasted!

Alastor goes missing for 7 years and Charlie hasn’t seen Lilith for 7 years. Coincidence? I think not.
If it does turn out to be a coincidence (which I highly doubt) they'd just be pranking us at this point
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I was just abt to comment this, shit is def not a coincidence
Did I have been saying the same thing!!! FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED!!!
@@somethingunusual8456 I imagine Alastor and Lilith are scheming something to liven up Hell
Liliith IS a human and probaly has a Soul, Alastor is an above average overlord known for making deals, Lilith was a singer and Alastor is a RADIO demon, the pieces are definitely there.
Except, Lilith is a human more powerful than even the sins.
Alastor isn't even in her level not to mention he is stuck in the pride ring
I honestly don't think Lilith (wife of the guy who rules over hell and thereby Alastor.) Would make a deal with demons, after all she wouldn't really have to.
@@popump2617More that any Deal she may or may not have made with Alistor wouldn't be in Alistior's favour.
Much like most Deals Alistor makes are weighted heavily in his favour, due to the power imbalance he has.
Thus Lilith would have that over Alistor in any potential Deals with him.
It's quite likely that there is a Deal between them, which would definitely benefit Alistor; However, any benefit Alistor gains may directly benefit Lilith and maintain her power imbalance over him.
The fact that Alistor shows up almost immediately after Charlie leaves a voicemail to her Mother Lilith is highly suspicious.
Add to that, that both have been missing for 7 years and the fact her Singing empowers Demons & Alistor also gained more power from broadcasting his rampage.
Seems like it would be interesting interaction between their respective Powers. Alistor broadcasting Lilith singing would likely amplify the empowering effect to a significant degree.
Perhaps there is a plan to have Charlie realise her full potential as the offspring of the mother of all Demons and the fallen Angel Lucifer.
Charlie may have latent potential Authority in both Heaven and Hell, but Charlie being Charlie doesn't like abusing her position or the Authority that comes with it.
Alistor and Lilith may be planing to draw that potential out of Charlie.
Lucifer clearly isn't intersted in anything like that anymore. He see's his domain as a mockery of a circus. Of all the Evil he unleashed on Earth...it likely weighs on him making him apathetic to everything and everyone around him.
@@soulsurvivor8293 I think the reason Alastor may be working with/for Lilith may be because he made a soul contract with her, but her soul wasn’t exchanged, but his.
Maybe that’s why alastor wants to make a deal with Charlie, because if he has power over her, then he can use that against Lilith in order to get out of the deal he made with her.
exactly, i belive Lilith has Alastor soul's and he made the deal with her for more power @@shimo7943
When she calls her mom and leaves that voicemail, you hear the "boo duh leep" of a disconnected phone line. There's nobody listening to her messages, but she still leaves them to pretend her mom cares. That part was really sad.

I feel like the fact Alistor and Lilith disappeared around the same time is not a coincidence, and was wondering if maybe Al is there because of her.
Or somehow vice versa. Maybe alastor tricked her into a deal
Or Lillith made a deal with Al to keep an eye on Charlie ?
@@catoninetails why not keep a eye on her herself
@@theslimegamer5451 That’s the mystery, isn’t it? In episode 3 (spoilers if u haven’t seen it tho if that’s the case I’m not sure why ur on this video but whatever) we learn there have been rumors about Alastor being kidnapped/somehow involved in heavenly affairs. Perhaps that has something to do with it? Maybe Lilith has something going on in heaven? Who knows.
they are both technically auditory based demons. Lilith sings, Alastor is a radio host.
when zestiel asked what he'd been up to for 7 years, suggesting he was even captured by angels, alastor got a bit shifty. Maybe he made a contract with lillith to get out of a jam with some angels?
It would be so interesting if he was trying to get to his mom or something
@roxycauldwell544 that would be so cool, alastor acts like he doesn't care about anyone but of course he wants to see his mom again. I wonder if his mom will be brought up at some point.

I gotta mention the Carmilla and Vaggie scene/song. They absolutely have to be connected in some way. Like with the designs and general vibes of that entire episode, like there is a connection there some way somehow.
Also Loser Baby was a highlight for me.
Maybe Vaggie was the Angel she killed or is connected to the angels somehow? Like Vaggie had a bunch of x’s on her like the angels and uses a spear like them. And Carmella did kill an angel
@cheese808 while I like that idea Vaggie has been around for a while with Charlie and the angle was just killed so the timeline wouldn't line up
i instantly thought carmine was vaggies mom
like maybe long lost in death, somehow. do we know if vaggie even knows much of her life, to know her mother? I feel like overlords are generally known enough that she'd know/recognize carmine if so.

The music of this show is amazing, and a key part of this show. Lilith used her song to unite hell, and that's kind of the reason every demon sings when they want to express their deep feeling.
There’s another small detail as well: Husk. He was an overlord who gave away his power to Alastor while gambling. It’s entirely possible Lilith struck a deal with Alastor to protect and look after Charlie in her place, in exchange for her power, but Alastor hasn’t fully revealed just how much power he has yet.
A couple ideas about Alastor and Lilith's connection I wanna throw out are maybe Alastor is secretly trying to redeem himself not directly through Charlie and the hotel, but because Lilith asked him to help Charlie with the hotel. Or maybe they made a deal but Lilith is the one that owns Alastor's soul. Or maybe they made a less dramatic deal in the past that doesn't involve soul-owning and Alastor owes her a favor. Or maybe no deals were made and Alastor just owes his girl buddy a solid the way Angel owed Cherry Bomb.
My theory is that Lilith made a deal with Alastor, giving up her power so that Charlie can be protected, and for whatever reason she can’t protect Charlie herself.
@@xTwilightWolvesx and her disappearance is evidence of her loss of power somehow
@@xTwilightWolvesxwell if ur theory is right, then Lilith wouldn't be strong enough to protect Charlie herself so there's your reason

Yes he could try to make a deal with Lilith to go to the hotel but in exchange would gain Lilith's power
but I think it's just coincidence
@@rachelgardnerray9977 not 100% impossible if his real intentions for the hotel are a secret. Nothing is concrete, but going off the theory that Lilith sent Alastor to Charlie as a response to her request for help, it begs the question of why Lilith would send someone who openly states he wants to see the hotel fail. The show already prompts us to ask what Alastor's ulterior motives are, and I hardly see him being a static character.
The 7-years-disappearance-thing was the one thing that stuck out to me immediately, too :D I'm so hyped for how the show will continue and wrap up the first season
Honestly I do think they've should've made a new version of the pilot as episode 1, cause I don't think the current episode 1 introduces the characters all that well.
Yeah, I haven't watched the pilot in years. And watcing the new series I was so lost that had to go re-watch watch it
It picks up where the pilot left off, you’re expected to have seen the pilot going into the series
THIS EXACTLY
If your theory is correct than Lilith sending Alastor to help Charlie after hearing her plea is pretty wholesome and I feel she would need a better parent with Lucifer being a deadbeat
Well.
I think 5th episode is Called "Dead Beat Dad", and the synopsis were something along the lines of, well, Lucifer visiting her.
We saw that in the trailers, so we may see more of their relationship and WHY he seems to be so absent from her life.
Maybe depressed after Lilith disappeared? Maybe searching for her?
At least we know, i think from the pilot, that He is the one that provided the Hotel for her project.

THANK YOU I thought I was the only one who noticed! They also made him WAY more of a dick when he was only mildy snarky before. I liked it when he was more charming and outgoing.
Yeah, Pilot Alastor was clearly doing all this simply for his own amusement, but in the show he clearly has some sort of obligation to go along with what others want
I know right? I'm really hoping he has more interactions with the other characters in future eps and such. He's one of viv's favorite characters so I know we'll definitely get more screen time of him.

I've been thinking about how Alastor and Lilith disappeared around the same time. I'm so glad other people noticed this too. I will be incredibly disappointed if this doesn't end up being a major plot point for the series

@egbert5871 I never saw Invinsable, so I don't know what happened
I agree that there should have been more episodes, I think anywhere from 10 to 13 episodes would help.
I think you may have a point. I think Lilith has ben working on something big and Alastor is a partner in what ever it is. However, Charlie's call likely made Lilith worried and so got Alastor to act as her body guard. I am excited to see just what is going on with Lilth and I am excitedfor the Lucifer episode.
There's a number of theories I have about Alastor... and they're likely all wrong... but here they are anyways.
1) Alastor made some kind of deal/contract with Lilith. Considering Alastor's power and how unusual it is (even to this day no other Overlord has really topped Alastor's staggeringly fast rise to power the moment he died), it seems likely that Alastor might have some source of power that gives him a significant edge. Perhaps prior to his death he made a contract or deal with Lilith, and in return for her providing him with power Alastor works to undermine the other Overlords, old and new.
2) Alastor has some kind of connection to some source of power outside of Heaven or Hell. This one is definitely a long shot and I don't think it has any real chance being true, but would be kind of nifty if Alastor had some kind of bargain or pact with some sort of eldritch entity that exists outside of heaven or hell. Think Lovecraft stuff. This one is mostly just for fun tho so take it with a huge heaping shovel of salt. However I do feel like the chance of this is greater than 0% given that a lot of Alastor's motifs and aspects draw very heavily on eldritch occult horror, and even compared to other demons in the show Alastor is singularly alien and terrifying and his powers are rather strange even for Hell.
3) Alastor instead managed to wrangle Lilith into a contract with him and actually owns her soul. Given the leaks of episode 5 and how utterly brazen and fearless Alastor is in just shit-talking Lucifer right to his face and in front of his daughter, it hints that Alastor definitely has _something_ that gives him that kind of confidence. What better way to have sway over the actual King of Hell than to basically have the soul of his wife and lover hostage?
an absolute insane idea I had is that Alastor might be related to Charlie in some way. Lilith's voice can control people, Charlie has a habit of singing everything and putting on a show, and Alastor uses his voice the same way.
How crazy of a twist would it be if Alastor was Charlies half brother and him and Lucifer disliking each other is because Lucifer isn't his father
That’s a very intriguing theory. 😊 Before Charlie calls Lilith, isn’t Alastor already shown watching the interview on TV and being perversely amused by it? 🤔 I think if Lilith sent Alastor, Alastor was already interested in this before that call. Anyhow, that is a good analysis from you. 😈
I think Lilith sent Alastor to look after Charlie, and the TV interview let him know where Charlie was.
You're right
@@xTwilightWolvesximpossible it's confirmed even Al said by himself he watched picture show and went to hotel for entertainment for see others struggle and fail
he only went to hotel for entertainment! Understand?
Yes he could try to make a deal with Lilith to go to the hotel but in exchange would gain Lilith's power
but I think it's just coincidence
I think the story Charlie grew up with might have some personal feelings and exaggerations from her parents put into it since it is told from her parents point of view, but given what we have seen so far from Angels and also Adam it is likely that it mostly can be true not 100% but a good amount of it can possibly be seen as fact.
The show feels rush the music great but i feel like we jump into things to early without no time to breathe build up or get to know characters and how they meet
I've been excited by the show so far. The pilot was, needless to say, strong enough on its own and I've adored the material they've been producing for Helluva Boss on CZcams, especially the musical elements they've introduced into that show. To see them expand on Hazbin Hotel is a real joy and the music, as you say, goes hard. Hard to say whether this will live up to the hype, but I've very much enjoyed the ride so far and I think I'll only be hungering for more after 8 episodes. Also, yes, Alastor is easily my favorite element in the show. Dude's just a joy every time he's on screen.
Hazbin Hotel video? Oh HELL yeah! LOVED the episodes
Thanks for the video Johnny, Huge fan of your content! YOU'RE THE BEST
Bro i remember and doing character sketches back then for this show. It’s so good to see it up and running now
No one sent Alastor to the hotel. He sent himself. 😂
Lol we’ll see homie, pretty clear evidence 😘
im so glad the someone brought up the 7 years connection; especially when Alastor got all shifty-eyed when questioned by Zestial XD
I think another fear is cancellation. So many fantastic shows are cancelled before finishing the creators original premise. Eight episodes aren't enough, 10 episodes maybe but eight isn't enough for a great show like this. A few hiccups here and there, yeah, I wish some things weren't revealed early like who killed the Exorcist or why the Angels come down to kill them. Each song is a banger atm and I WISH there more were on Spotify. I am excited to see where this goes.
Also, I am so glad someone caught on the Lillth and Alastor being gone for seven years. I think they are connected and that is one reveal that I am excited for.
To the point about "angels are not great" being revealed too soon, ever since the aperance oc Cherubs in Helluva Boss, it was made pretty clear that heaven and it's citizents is not so heavenly in the Hazbin universe.
Hazbin hotel is what I remember Disney movies were when I was a kid but aimed at the now adults. The music kills, the art is good, some of the voices were off for me like Velvette I just wasn't expecting her to be British but her song with carmine fixed that. Overall good just wish it had more episodes so it can breathe a bit
It’s cool to here you cover this one
I LOVED the series, i can watch alastor all the time and cant be get bored of him. And his battle with vox is Just something else, Those 2 are now my favorties and i loved the 2nd episode its my fav ❤
I've seen a few clips of the music & they're great, so ur video just convinced me to check it out. Love ur stuff
8 episode is short but Amazon has picked it up for a second season. Vizzypop has mentioned that she had the overall story was 80% done when the piolt dropped.
For me, personally, I don't think the angel's death was meant to be this whole big reveal. Like the mysteries were supposed to focus on deal with alastor, lillith, and the denizens of the hazbin hotel. We only have like 12 episodes 24 minutes of actual screen time each to explain each plot point, so it's understandable this little tidbit was rushed along. A point I do agree with you with. Like if there were either 24 episodes or 40-minute episodes they would have more time to lay groundwork and build the story but they unfortunately don't. I do hope if they get a season 2 things improve, and I'm kinda almost certain they will, as I know a lot of my personal favorite animated shows had rough first seasons.
It’s very interesting how much Al committed to the first intro to Lucifer. He’s such a fascinating character.
Wow dude. You have my respect for making such a short but very helpful and full of smart conclusions video essay! It was a pleasure to watch and listen to it. So thank you. Keep on my friend. I totally agree with you. Thanks for not being mean or annoying like some other critics.

I love that slimey snek and his egg bois. Lol idk why, but he's so pathetic it's adorable. 😂
As someone who never knew this show existed till yesterday. I can tell you from a blank and unbiased slate as a completely new viewer, that it never felt like information was being dumped on me very quickly. I became extremely hooked and immediately binged all 8 episodes back to back and am writing this after finishing at 8am lol. Only wrote this comment because I figured you might have interest in how it felt to view this without any prior knowledge as a new viewer since that wasn’t possible for you to do. I’m very interested now in what the original pilot provided information wise and how it played out.
(Slight spoilers ahead!!)
This series was definitely worth the wait. While some of the voices are a bit to get used too. I award them all the points for giving Keith Richard's a Song.
That word play is amazing in the context indeed
After watching the episodes I think it was worth the wait i enjoyed watching them 😊
I agree with your opinion on Charlie. She's so pure and kind, her words and actions really touch my heart despite there being so many characters like her. I think it's the contrast between her optimistic , positive outlook and the jaded, skeptical and doomer attitude of the rest of the demon world is what makes her interesting. It was such a great idea to make a series about a character like her. I'm looking forward to how the show develops this conflict
Completely missed that Alastor and Lilith were gone the same amount of time! With how shifty he was with the other overlords about why he left and why he came back, and what with how he’s quietly known as one of the strongest overlords in hell, it makes me wonder what Lilith is working at. Lilith having her music called out in her story, how much she embraced being a leader of hell despite her husband losing his will to dream, it all feels like she has a conspiracy she was planning out that took her away
I think the episodes are good. My favorite episode was definitely episode 4. What's funny is me and my friend did a review of each episode, review of each character, voice actor, music, helluva boss was added into the mix, then it ended in a tier list of Helluva Boss episodes.
That's a lot.
What if Lilliths plan is to position the Overlords to support the hotel? Makes more sense that she would have sent Alastor since he is one of them, technically it's a win win plan. If redemption is possible, she gets to rub it in Heavens face having proven their core beliefs wrong, if it fails, it acts as a catalyst to unite Hell against Heaven, especially if the Overlords end up backing it from Alastors manipulation.
You just blew my freaking mind....
Definitely like the idea of Lilith being the one who sent Al. Question is will it be confirmed or not by the end of season 1 or is it gonna be a season 2 thing 🤔
I'm glad you brought up the fact that Hazbin Hotel only has 8 episods this season. I've seen so many people complain about the pacing and how everything seems rushed but thats kinda expected? Taking into comparison animes with 12 episode seasons. Even those are left with many questions at the end with major plot points unresolved. For Hazbin only having 8 episodes, they need to make a full story in that little of time. Plus if they have to rely on a major cliffhanger at the finale to force you to watch season 2 than thats no fun either. I think that having only 8 episodes about 22 minutes long each they are doing wonderfully.
Yeah I think this was worth the wait😊 more episodes next Friday and the following Friday ❤
thank you so much for offering such a neutral, balanced take on Hazbin, it feels refreshing to get a perspective outside the extreme hatedom that has cropped up against it and the fandom becoming so do-or-die in response
Along with the the theory that helps support the Alastor of Lilith disappearance, when Zestual says that there’s a rumor that Alastor has been in holy arms he got nervous something we have never seen before and Lilith was made in heaven, and also in the Vox v Alastor Song I think the ending is very important that the fact he says “I’m gonna make you wish that I’d stay gone” I think Alastor is winding up for another overlord genocide or he’s going to try to take Hells throne because he seems pretty relax to be helping the hotel run by Lucifer’s daughter and seemingly getting nothing in return🤔🤔🤔
Watched it all last night n I'm happy to say that I greatly enjoyed it n recommend it!
thank you for actually being super normal about hazbin hotel
Alastor being a radio\voice\sound based Demon
Lilith being portrayed as using her voice to bring up hell's power.
I actually think they were always connected, and their disappearance may be part of a plan, they've been cooking on the underside to to prepare hell against heaven?
Finally someone else pointed it out!
Honestly I think my only main complaint I have with the show is the pacing and music, the music itself is great, no complaints, but they just POP out of nowhere and can feel rather jarring and out of place especially with how little we know these characters. I have met Carmilla for maybe 3 minutes and she gets an emotional power ballad and at that point I'm just not caring as I probably should. Usually you need a sorta transition into a musical number, a sort of lead up, which happens in Poison and Loser Baby, but a lot of the other songs just kinda start and end and it doesn't get the vibe across how they're meaning to. Other than that, it's doing stuff that has me curious and I'm hoping it evens out.
7 - godly and perfect number
I heard they're renewing it for a second season, So I'm really excited to see what happens next.
I agree with the change you'd make in principle, though I do think it was a good call here. Enjoying it so much - are you going to be covering it ep to ep?
TV is a medium that's dependent on shiny trinket picture boxes while Radio is a natural phenomenon that I believe Alastor has a unique understanding of. Celestial bodies give off their own radio waves and, in this universe, that could grant those capable of tuning to them powerful primordial information and abilities. TV is powerful but they've made it clear how Alastor is something BEYOND what hell is used to seeing
Commenting this at 0:00 and I'm calling it: Lilith. She's been gone 7 years, Alastor's been gone just the same. That's gotta be some Chekov's gun hanging on the wall.
I'm really enjoying the series so far.
I called the Alastor-Lilith thing back in the Pilot when he spent a good minute looking at Lilith in one of Charlie's family pictures.
I also feel like part of this is at some sort of 'mission' of Lucifer's. Especially as, it has been said in a few Q&As, that every dealing in Hell has some connection to Lucifer or his 'circle' at the end of the day. It has also been implied in some past streams that Lilith's power derives from Lucifer's (namely he adds to her power as a sinner).
I've a few theories of what Lilith wants/her mission, all ranging from a civil war among the exorcists to overthrow Adam. The 'final corruption' of wherever Eve may be. Or, possibly, even taking down the Angels who cast out Lucifer. The reason I say Angels is because based on the outlines we got in the episode one story-book opening is that we see that mystery Angel seeming to be part of the group who cast out Lucifer.
Current belief is that this mystery feminine Angel is either Lucifer's 'heavenly counterpart' or some sort of family that abandoned him (something Lilith can relate to as she thrown away by Adam).
I love how all the characters feel like Looney Tune and Disney rejects 😂 Alastor always reminds me of Bugs Bunny, and Charlie is Such a Disney Princess 😂
6:08 oh my god I didn’t notice the blue screen messages before I’m dying 😂
To be fair I think the reveal of Heaven being stuck up and self righteous was done in Helluvboss with the Cherubs
Love this series! Charlie is the Best! Whos your favorite character man?
I'm a little late to the party and I have yet to see the pilot but Hazbin Hotel continues the great trend of excellent animated series released in 2023. And I lOVE the songs.
The intro slaps🔥
You’re talking about Hazbin Hotel? Awesome!
YOU ARE SO RIGHT. In the newest episode, Husk mentions that Alastor is on another persons 'leash' himself. That has to be Lilith.
I can’t believe they made a whole show based on that music video…
I really enjoyed this first batch of episodes. My biggest issue is that I feel the show goes for low hanging fruit in terms of humour, but definitely has a lot of potential. I absolutely adore Alistor or the Radio Demon. And episode 4 was genuinely phenomenal.
Thank you Johnny for this video
As a Hazbin and Helluva boss fan, im happy the show is getting the attention of people who are giving it a fair look and pointing out the shows flaws AND its strong points in a way that isnt leaning to one side.
I hope you enjoy the rest of S1 when it comes out since the show airs weekly, and for when S2 drops
Honestly, I'm really hyped for Hazbin Hotel - I think the best part of the show to me is for sure Alastor and the mysteries he has as a character on top of just the feel of absolute power that he has. I think it's interesting that Alastor, a radio demon that has been gone for 7 years is still as powerful as he is despite the fact that radio is a largely dead medium and obviously Hell's hierarchy has kind of been going through some changes with upcoming Overlords. How is Alastor so powerful? Why does he do the things he does if he has so much power? Alastor feels like a demon that could easily take the reigns as Overlord but chooses not to for whatever reason. Is he simply uninterested in Hell's hierarchy or is there something else he's after?
The link up with the shared universe of Heluva Boss is throwing me right now. I am seeing hard overlaps with angels and imps, different demons and dead humans being present, and the power structure of the shared universe being hard to understand.
I think it fine that they show use that the angles were asshole in episode one since it we already saw that to be the case in Hella Boss
At this point, i theorize that Carmilla is a red herring for someone else. Like either vaggie or lilith, but i could be honestly too. Which most likely the case.
i like the original design of the pilot, it’s so unique and stands out so much
Damn he got this right - Alastor got pissed when he got reminded he is also on a leash.
It was great. But if you going in like its 10/10 you gonna be disappointed. Not because its not 10/10 but because any series's first season has very hard time being 10/10. Like Bojack Horseman couldn't achive that (and its one of the best shows ever). Think of it like because its a series it has to have more plotlines and more characters lore and world building than a movie ( A movie can be much more focused because of its shorter time) . And for example in order to show the characters growth you have to have them on a normal "everyday" state. So the ark can be realized. And because there are more characters you need show this everyday state not much can be achived with just one season. That's just an example, but you hope you get my point.
Alastor beating husks and becoming an overlord husks gave hes soul to become one
Knew once i saw this 5 years ago that once it finally came out it would be one of my favorite animated shows of all time🙏 Up there with SuperJail!
After I saw this, I went back to the pilot and looked at the wiki for both characters. The rabbit hole goes even deeper. You might be on to something here.
Just before the announcement I had rewatched the pilot and thought it was never going any further so I was so happy to see it get a series. Eight episodes is eight more than I’d hoped for at that point.
My own theory goes one step further: Alastor is actually Lucifer. No one presents any kind of threat, to him (in fact it’s all fun and games to him), even the oldest demons respect him, there’s a family portrait with Charlie, Lilith and someone who is reminiscent of Alastor, and he is surprisingly protective and supportive of Charlie. In Ep 2, when Sir Pentious appears, Alastor’s first action is put himself between Charlie and Sir Pentious. And he has so far done a lot to help Charlie. In the Pilot he also has a good understanding of redemption, Hell’s role etc. So despite knowing her endeavour is probably futile, Lucifer has, in his disguise as Alastor is doing the protective-father thing. In Ep 1 the lore dump goes to length to show that Lucifer is caring and loving.
And both Alastor and Lilith being missing for seven years suggests they were both absent for the same reason. And so Alastor being Lucifer fits that narrative (for now).
I might be miles off, but so far, between the Pilot and Ep 1 to 4 it holds water in my mind.
I also like that the Pilot remains a part of the story, it feels like a mark of respect to it and the cast. When all the episodes are out, I fully plan to go back and watch everything together, Pilot and all.
in the trailer it literally shows Lucifer and Alastor interacting as seperate beings.
Hm i DONT think so bc Ya Know “It’s Time i remind you why I’m here”
That theory is soo good!! I can't help but think about that all this time Alastor DID have a reason to show up to help with the hotel.
Also the 7 years thing reminds me of Fairy Tail's dragon lore of them being missing for 7 years.
I like the show, my one gripe is that every time they start singing the transition hits me like a brick to the head bc I keep forgetting it's a musical
Did they get Keith David for this show?
they did!
How is this not on Broadway
I stay mellow watching Johnny 2 Cellos
Only seen the first episode they posted on CZcams and the pilot, but I do like the reveal that angels are kinda awful but I think it sets up interesting stuff even if they immediately reveal it a few episodes later
Helluva Boss got me to stay, but Hazbin was my first love. I'm really enjoying what we've gotten to far, streaming industry circumstances aside. ^^
hope Amazon Prime will release new episodes weekly for Hazbin Hotel
I had a Similar theroy about Alastor's that went out the window with the show. I thought that Alastor was Lucifer's Sinner Sona that he could use to run around hell doing as he pleased And when he saw Charlie on TV Was picked up with interest but only decided to help once Charlie made a call to her mom.
