My plan against pyros is to just stay away from them, they get slammed by most other classes anyways. Now a spy hungry pyro…that’s a different story

All jokes aside, spy actually does have a removed gun in the game files. It was called the “tranquillizer gun”, then the “dart gun”, then finally the “DNA gun”. It was all the same gun, when it was the tranquillizer gun and the dart gun, it shot a projectile that slowed enemies for a decent amount of time. It was later reworked entirely into the DNA gun, and this is what it did: The gun shot a projectile that slowed the target down for about one second. It also marked one enemy at a time for the rest of their life, and upon a successful backstab on a marked enemy you would transform into their class. You would also get all of their ammo and metal and all of that, but I personally think getting all of the enemy medic’s übercharge would be a bit too powerful so maybe you wouldn’t get that. It sounds ridiculous, but I personally think it would be a really cool concept if done right and given good downsides.

I joined a lobby with me being the first spy, then 4 more choice spy, with 2 snipers. But somehow, we won because they all situated after the 1st cap lol.

Also consider that if your team sucks and the other team is too good sometimes playing spy specially in some of the dogshit new maps it just ain't going to work

My god, i am surprised you know next to nothing about this watch. Or choose not to talk about. Two main reasons people use dead ringer is to be able to play maps with zero or controlled flank routes or the ones that are just too tight with its chokes. With two other watches you just can't play the game in those scenarios. 95% of maps are outright not made remembering spy exists. Second reason is nice juicy speed boost which contrary to what you said rewards spy a lot for good positioning and movement. With it you can get to positions inaccessible before and at speed people do not expect from you. Also, comparison with the escape plan is so wrong. Soldier is a different class capable of vastly different things. Swap his rocket launcher for revolver and check how balance the escape plan will be. And when soldier has more than 20 hp he already has the best movement option in the game - rocket jumping. The escape plan is actually overturned in the meaning that it covers soldiers big weakness - the lack of movement when can't rocket jump. Also, in practice on casual servers it fools surprising amount of people. Backstabbing people who taunt the deadringer is its own genre XD Also invis is bot equal invulnerability. As you accurately showed you can still be smart playing against deadringer spy and get rewarded by killing him. I think deadringer is still overturned and the worst is probably the ability to decloak midway allowing to use it twice as often. It is its own mini game to choose between longer invis or more frequent pop, but it makes you deadring the same spy far too often. My suggestion - make it loose the entire charge regardless of when you uncloak and start recharge only after fixed time of full cloak. That way, the spy must use ot very wisely to actually make use of it and it would become more predictable for potential counterplay.

I remember having an Engineer so indulged into spychecking me that he didn't even watched his buildings so it was getting destroyed by soldiers, demos and heavys everytime he set up. I even hit him with the red tappe recorder just to annoy him. He switched to Pyro and started spychecking hard but by that time i was already on a Sniper and other Engineer and since i was using YER there wasn't any notification in the killfeed for the Pyro to know if i was still playing Spy.
