@@Robinvdzz My Elantra N has the blue silicone pipe because I don’t have an aftermarket blow off valve. My wife’s Veloster N has an atmospheric BOV, so her intake pipe is capped.

@@nprform I mean the 2 hoses at the back of your intake, one of which is plugged off :)

@@Robinvdzz Oh sorry, Forge used the same intake for the Hyundai cars, but not all have two hoses to plug into the intake, so they include a cap for the vehicles that only have one hose.

@nprform is the Intercooler pretty easy to install? I'm thinking of getting that and a high pressure fuel pump. I'm close to stage 2

@@sourCOD Both of those mods are easy to do. I have a step by step video for both.

@@KendraBlackblade89 Daniel at N75 is quick to answer questions and really seemed to be the most knowledgeable person when it comes to helping with the tuning questions. He’s been there for me every step of the way while I’ve tuned my car, blown my turbo, and put everything back together. I got all my new turbo parts from him as well. I will have a full EN turbo swap video soon.

@nprform awesome! Thanks for the reply, and I look forward to the vid. What caused the turbo to blow? Was it too much boost pushing it too hard after the tune? I'm looking to do I think a stage one. I have an afe intake and would like more of the advertised power and torque to the ground but more importantly, a more usable powerband without that drop off after 5 or 6k rpm.

@@KendraBlackblade89 The 21’ and 22’ models have quality issues due to COVID. We pushed the turbo really hard right before tuning and then again during tuning. When the turbo began making sounds you let us know it was having issues, we didn’t check it. It was a learning experience. A costly one at that. Check out the video showing the turbo blowing.

@nprform I watched it and it has me concerned because I do pulls often. Getting that rush of dopamine after a stressful day at work. I am worried getting a tune would only quicken an inevitable demise of my turbo. And yes, it's a 22 VN. Any advise to further prepare for a tune? I've also heard I need a new HPFP if I plan on doing any sort of power adding and an intercooler to keep temps down over stock capabilities

@@KendraBlackblade89 Spark plugs & HPFP for sure, an intercooler is another good idea. Really though, after our experience, I’d almost suggest saving for an EN turbo upgrade. From our research, after the turbo blew, it seems the 22’s have a higher failure rate than other model years. Even without a tune, the VN turbo can fail. Our car has 10k miles and blew.

@@MrTediousness When you hook up the EK1 to your car and read the ECU, It looks like your calibration ID should display either BOSCH MEDG17.9.8 or CPEGD2.20.3. I found both of these files in the Sxth tuning software.

@nprform I still can't find it under patch files on SXTHNKTUNING, I did, however, contact them, and they said that the 1st Gen Veloster turbos do not require an ECU patch file to log and tune, so I guess I'm alright

@@kevins8089 No, you load the boot patch once.

@@DirtyVelosterN- Correct, the plastic clips around the back of the emblem will hold it in place. If you break one of those clips, you’ll need to use superglue or 3M double sided tape to hold the emblem in place. We didn’t break any of the clips, so we just applied pressure and the emblem snapped right back into place. We’ve had no issues since.

@@racingmostwanted No, it is not loose at all. I originally bought a 25mm and it was too small. The 28mm fit much better.

@@nprform Thanks for the reply. I also went to the WIX website and their "search by car" didn't show any filters that fit the Veloster N (or any Hyundai for that matter). How did you determine fit in your research? I assume you've had no issues?

@@nickbarbaro4139 The filter is sold in an oil change kit on N75 Motorsports’ website. I’ve had no issues and I’ve just installed it again, after I swapped the VN turbo for an EN turbo.

@@menamesframerate9136 Keep record of your oil changes. Also, I would recommend using the OEM filter for warranty purposes.

@@4drturbo85 The car has 10k miles. It’s crazy how fast the turbo blew. We were discussing water meth as our next step right after the tune and the turbo blew 15 minutes later.

@@iam.marcus9254 36,000. I've been told my engine would blow at 30,000 didn't happen. I was told my turbo would blow at 20,000. Hasn't happened. Just been told a lot of things about this car just because it was a hyundai. But I bought it pre covid so I think the quality is there. Before things got bad.

I too have a 2020 VN PP with 52k miles and only had to change the hpfp at 51k other then that it's been solid and the lord knows I beat on that poor car every single day 😅

No, it will function as normal. I’ll double check 10 and 13 for you tonight.

There are numbers at the top and bottom of each row of fuses. You count up or down from the number on the fuse box. For example: the second row begins with “8”, so you just count down two fuses to find #10.

@@nprform good to hear, the display gauges on the Jb4 app aren’t working, the map gauge shows the map I’m on but the others aren’t working, any idea what the issue could be? I’ve checked connections and everything seems tight

@@3lyK Is it certain ones not working or are all the gauges not working? Have you tried changing some of the default gauges? I found some of the gauges don’t work for all cars.

No, you do not need to remove the factory sub. I chose to do it because I was afraid I might blow it since I would be running more power through the rest of the system. Also, I liked having the hole to allow for more sound to enter the car.

@@lescommunicateurs524 You can plug the LOC’s 2 positive wires and 2 negative wires into the two factory brown and white wires without making a Y-adapter.

It’s holding up nicely. It makes the car look wider too. It was a good choice.
