Hyundai Elantra N, Kona N, Veloster N Forge Turbo Inlet Adapter Install, Impressions, & Sound Clips

- In this video, I show how to install a Forge Motorsport turbo inlet adapter in an 2022 Hyundai Elantra N. This kit will work for the 2019+ Hyundai Veloster N, 2022+ Elantra N, and 2022+ Kona N. At the end of the video, I have sound clips of the car with the turbo inlet and intake system installed. The system definitely increased the ability to hear the turbo spool up. You can hear the intake in the car with the windows up, but it's more pronounced with the windows down and outside the car.

When I went to install mine, I had no idea what the bracket on the bottom was for. THANK YOU!!! for explaining it's for the VN and won't be used on the EN. All the videos I've watched nobody mentions it. Big sigh of relief.

I get conflicting info on turbo inlets. Some say they are placebo and do nil to nothing. Other say they are worth the money. Strictly performance wise what s your opinion?
@@rawtaa8591 I don’t believe it’s going to add a massive amount of power you will feel, but it certainly increases the amount of air that can go into the turbo, which will help increase power. This is going to show a bigger benefit if you are running it along side a tune, whether that’s a piggyback or full custom tune.
so this will work with the stock tune? i seen a different video and the guy said it would make the car run worse on the stock tune and it only worked good if you did tune it
I don’t understand why he would say that. Per Forge the intake can be used on stock tune without issue. I’ve had it on my car and my wife’s car, before she installed her JB4 and neither one of us have experienced an issue. It’s a wonderful product and sound great.
How long did the intake take to deliver?
@@stumpylogs I don’t remember, but it wasn’t long. With saying that, they’ve had some delays recently, due to supply shortages.
I see that you still have your PVC pipe connected to your intake, but the other one is capped off. What exactly is that and why is it capped off?
@@Robinvdzz My Elantra N has the blue silicone pipe because I don’t have an aftermarket blow off valve. My wife’s Veloster N has an atmospheric BOV, so her intake pipe is capped.
@@nprform I mean the 2 hoses at the back of your intake, one of which is plugged off :)
@@Robinvdzz Oh sorry, Forge used the same intake for the Hyundai cars, but not all have two hoses to plug into the intake, so they include a cap for the vehicles that only have one hose.
@@nprform oh wow do you know what the function is of the hose that is plugged off?
@@Robinvdzz They are breath hoses. The Veloster has two and the Elantra has one. I address this in my Elantra intake video.

So you only get flutter without the turbo inlet?
Correct. The sound went away with the turbo inlet tube.

@@Gramzyypc It’s hard to explain. It’s not a bad sound or issue. If you’ve seen a rally race, when the cars let off their gas, you’ll hear the sound. Most people spell it STUTUTUTUTUT.
@@nprformthat’s really interesting. I’m thinking about getting the intake but I’m not sure about getting the inlet as well as the price for both is a little high for me. But if you get more flutter without the inlet, I may just go with just the intake! (Maybe the inlet in the future if I get a bov). Great video!
