The Story of the Aladdin Deck Enhancer
I grew up playing these with my grandma along with the first mario on the nes.shes had a very long life and today she decided to stop with dyalisis and was moved into hospice. thanks for the memorys dude....
Sega is a good example of the fact, it's not about the hardware, it's about the games themselves. They spent too much time on these 32X and Mega CD Add-ons, without the game library to back them up. Same thing with the Sega Saturn, it never even had it's own 3D Sonic game on the Saturn.
Zelda OOT is #1 super Mario doesn’t come close
This game is simply awesome
In a sea of pure quality documentaries. I think one stands tall as the best work of The Gaming Historian. This is really well structured.
I remember playing a version where the hunting was like a pixelated first person perspective and you use the mouse to aim
The face on mars is the face of alalu it's mentioned in the tablets because he was banished there after losing to Anu in a wrestling match. He was the one who discovered earth
using a gun for shooting things, what about the zapper for the NES haha
R.I.P. to the Mega Man game that never was...
This is fantastic. Both these men, and your incredible gaming historian series. It's TV quality.
21:45 they also introduced pokeys im pretty sure
I just never heard about it
The wii u is also one of Nintendo mistake
I wonder if you can drift 8n f-zero?
One of the greatest game off all time, no doubt!
It's crazy looking back pre-internet at how different regions got systems and games at wildly different times, often renamed or rebranded. Now a days everything's just a global launch.
mario land was one of the early games from my childhood, i prolly played it when i was 4 or so. It was one of the only games i disliked as a kid. Cant be too picky when u only get a few games a year lol. I forgot about it until now and i see why i hated it, it looks terrible
Japan...Fish...Whales...i think this was totally wrong in every way possible😂
Currently on the last dungeon after discovering the "HD" version of Link's Awakening DX, it has some bugs but damn I'm having a great time playing.
Holy shit... spoilers... Prince played Oregon Trail as a college student, the original was made in 2 weeks and all the original creators got was a denim custom jacket and a free copy... fucking legends.
14:45 The Tanooki is not mythical, it's real. The myth about it is more of it's magical abilities
Am I going crazy or is the mural-like artwork of the faces blowing wind at 4:56 - 5:01 VERY reminiscent of the artwork for Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind?? Either way, this game took up a LOT of my childhood. Honestly more than the NES games or even A Link to the Past, which I played a ton of. It was always so weird and trippy, and the game was better for it. Love it. I only just got a switch and I'm excited to try out the remake/remaster.
How about another video about The Story of The first Super Mario Bros. game.
Watching this in 2024 is a moooood
Best thing new york can do is when sentencing comes, they say "now now president trump, i hope this has taught you an important lesson. Nao be a good and never a bad again.." and let him go. They have already declared war on 40 some states.
I love how you gently avoid the word "emulation"😅
If jim Henson was still alive and was the director of this movie, things would have been better
Man I miss those days when game companies used to do really cool things like the saga world tour actually TRYING to get us to buy their product, now then put out half finished crap full of micro-transactions and it takes them 8 years in between
Kirbys adventure is 1 of 2 games i beat as a kid on NES. It also maybe my first game ever beaten.
'worst videogame publishers of all time' is a bit harsh EA *cough* they were just shite at quality control not scammers
My favorite one of the NES series
Everyone born in the early 80s played this at school in a time where this would be the only time during your day you'd be on a computer. Great memories. Thanks for helping bring some of them back.
I know this is a super old video, but, I spotted one today in the Intro cinematic to Popful Mail on Sega CD: czcams.com/video/pwXrANQaNi4/video.htmlsi=SNv-Rtn6MkKuj86Z&t=221
Not better than smb3 sorry
wait, this game was voted over the previous mario versions?... i'm actually shocked
My blockbuster never had games rental. We had to go to another store, rather small and limited on rentals... Then it closed.
Wii sports is a proof how brain dead the nintendo fandom is. They'll eat this stupid gimmick in a heartbeat then grew tired of it fast.
I'm gonna insist that we get Rawk Hawk added to smash before Mike.
I had to rewatch your videos again in 2024, these videos are so great.
Your passion is still being remembered to this day Satoru
Excellent job! Hey... I have an idea for you.. I don't know if it is a great idea or not, but have you thought about contacting PBS or a similar Broadcasting Company to see if they would like to Hire you and maybe a small team to make a video Game series for their television station? You're already making similar content. They would just be in more control over what kind of content you would be making. But I'm sure it would be good! Thanks for the series, by the way! It was very fun to watch! :)
Him 8 Years ago: "Unfortunately Capcom isn't doing much with mega man now." Me 8 years Later: *Cries*
One of the most precious memories from my childhood was sitting in the living room with my dad watching him play super Mario world and waiting for my turn 😢
This i's such an amazing channel. I love learning about all the games and systems 😀
22:11 retrospectively the Jirard cameo is brilliant. Stein telling Mirrorsoft and Spectrum HoloByte that he had the license when he didnt is just like how Jirard told his fans he is donating the money to organizations when he wasnt. Genius
I knew I wasn't crazy. I remember playing this game, and it being a final fantasy in title. Finally found a video on it. Still looking for another snes games that is a 1st person world, where you leave a building, and there is alot of trees. Then eventually there are stars, and they turn into a dragon that kills you. All fist person in snes era! Does anyone know it?
This game really was perfection 👌
Toad being named Toad is like if there was a guy named Human.
