I am a filmmaker in my 60s. I have seen.a zillion movies. i used to see 4 movies a month in the theater, not to mention the many I watched on-line, on cable, etc. Now, I never go to the movies. They suck, for all of the reasons you mentioned. But there is more to this. Young people, and now people in general, can't focus for very long. The movies are long, the SOS, and really, the kids would rather be on their phone. So, Hollywood either recognizes it has to be original and interesting, or it will disappear. And symbolically, all you need do it walk around Hollywood Walk of Fame and enjoy the closed stores and fentanyl heads. I think it might be over for them.

Sry I know I've commented already, but Fentanyl is not more addictive because it's stronger. Any fentanyl user will tell you they prefer heroin, hands down, unless they're taking subs and want a high that can break through it, which is unlikely. The reason fentanyl is more addictive, is b/c fentanyl ain't got no legs. It lasts a pitiful couple of hours, and it's only 3-4 hours or so til you start the beginning phases of withdrawal from it. A person doing heroin could remain relatively comfortable doing it 2, maybe 3 times, per day. Fentanyl is more addictive b/c you gotta use it far more often, and since the tolerance to opioids can keep on hypothetically rising, although it isn't doing more for the same effect, but more for any effect, albeit a more diminished one. It's a sad and hard life being an addict. I pray for them all that they get the help they need, and that they experience enough pain that the pain of using starts to outweigh the pain of withdrawals, b/c then they will try to stay off it long enough to heal.
