I work once a month on a billionaire's ranch in Southwest Colorado. Doing pest control. It's pretty wild. Like 30 buildings, 10 houses, cabins, a main house that's 15,000sq ft., 3000 acres in the mountains. Hardly any of it gets used though. I mean, it's all well maintained by a huge staff, but he has this massive house and spends like 1 weekend a year there. I've been through every inch of all of the houses though. Kinda cool being in a billionaires closet😂 The ranch is called Boot Jack Ranch. It was originally owned/built by a Microsoft founder and sold in 2010 to an oil guy named Kelcy Warren. Paid $46 million in 2010, now worth over $90 million. And this is just one of many ranches he owns.
Yea those are assets for Billionaires. So when people keep getting mad that they have countless massive properties all over the world and don't even live in them or use them, that's why. It's because they get digustingly rich'er' for investing in them. Makes sense why once you know that.

Back in the day when the rich actually still paid taxes. Here in Germany the highest tax bracket once was 53% - now it's 45% and that also begins much lower. A married couple just needs to earn 107,000€ a year to already reach the highest tax bracket. And keeping in mind how much you need to even afford a decent apartment, 107k isn't really all that much. So there are a ton of more wealthy people who don't pay a higher tax percentage. And of course it's easy to avoid most or even all taxes on your income when buying real estate or stocks.
The amount of damage rich people can do is surreal. Yet, none of those people will ever be subject to any form of consequence.

I live in Sun Valley, ID and have worked at the Allen Conference before, the whole experience is quite a trip (I've personally seen Bezos, Zuckerberg and Gates at it). You can always tell in the Wood River Valley when the conference is going on, there are VIP blacked-out suburbans driving around everywhere and our tiny airport (which keep in mind has all of 2 gates) hosts approximately 60 private jets on the runway aprons in a valley where only 15K people live in rural Idaho.
This past year, so many private jets showed up to the conference that the jets would fly to Sun Valley, drop off their passengers and then fly empty to Twin Falls (75mi south) to park there only to return (empty) to Sun Valley to pick-up their passengers once the conference was over. Talk about a huge waste of emissions!

In defense of the bridge they routinely, about once a year, remove parts of it for Oceanco to move mega yachts since they are such a valuable industry in town. Everything else is spot on.
They're totally detached from the everyone else's world, rather than hypocritical.. This standard of living has become normal for them.. In a way, it's not much different to the way everyone has a TV or a smartphone today. Most people would consider it a hardship if they had to give up those things, regardless of the damage to the environment.. But everyone managed for thousands of years without them, even the ruling class, and it wasn't a problem.
