      Ask Google its a bit quicker... Rainbow snakehead (Channa bleheri) This is a small, relatively peaceful member of the dwarf snakehead complex. The Rainbow is among the most colourful of all snakeheads and reaching about 20cm/7.8” is as suited for the community tank as the Dwarf. The Dwarf snakehead, especially those from northern India, should be maintained in cooler water of 18-25°C/64-77°F with more middle-of-the-road water parameters (pH 6.0-7.5, GH 6 to 8) being ideal. Reaching only 20cm/7.8”, the Dwarf is relatively docile and can be maintained in a community tank with other fishes of similar size.

    I would be inclined to suggest the fungal problem is EUS. Quite commonly seen with aurantimaculata, and now seeing more and more with other species. EUS to my knowledge is untreatable, and despite my best efforts I lost 6 pyrocephalus to this dreaded disease.

    • @ChannaScaping
      @ChannaScaping Před 6 měsíci

      From earlier conversations with you, yes I think it is EUS as well now. Had whole batches of Channa lost very swiftly to something which did not respond to any amount of treatment. Rule is definitely quarantine all new fish and be careful with biosecurity.

    I am totally confused and really don't understand what kind of channa i have in my aquarium, some say its gachua, striata, stewarti, micropeltes etc... caught them in their wild habitat when they were merely 1 inch in size. Now they are of different sizes ranging from 2-3 inches. There is a slight similarity of them in your fishes as shown in this video like the physical appearance and some of the coloration
