First of, I'm going to be pedantic. If a model has to two hand but gets to keep a 6 there is only a 4/6 chance of - 1 not 5/6 as you can never go below 1 Next, I'm sure multiple members of the community would chip in for a lobster costume for the intern.

Commenting to answer Farmer’s questions - Favourite list was of course MY list! - In terms of pointing out your mistakes you totally mis-fight 6’d the Lothlorien & Rohan list as it also had Galadriel in it making it 6 F5 models not 5 My favourite episode so far! Battle Britain had a special rule each round one of which was extra fight on warriors so fight 6-7 was a big jump to screw hero’s

Had a blast at The Wolfs Lair last week. It was great meeting some of you and chatting all things hobby. Feel very lucky to have been awarded best painted alongside Johns RICULOUS display board. Another great video. Going to be helping run an event later in the year and was wondering what your preference is with regards to scenarios? Fixed/veto/random etc. personally I lean towards fixed as I enjoy building lists towards a defined situation. Interested to hear your views.

yeah as a fellow dwarf player i got caught out by the animosity bonus as well. with +1 to wound D7 doesnt tank as much as it usually does 🤣very easy to see chunks of your line just vanish. first time vs cirith ungol i was panicking a fair bit.

This video holds the great honour of being the first battle report to ever make me motion sick. I feel like I've just woken up on day 2 of a tournament and warned my opponent that I might barf on the table. Awe inspiring stuff.

i'm not sure how you have got a hold of such a fantastic cameraman! keep up the good work! We dont get to see lots of battle reps anymore as everyone is doing podcasts! (lazy gits) so keep up the good work chaps.

i always run a pretty big ranged chunk with my dwarfs.(rangers or ballista) having to advance on a position full of stationary archers and just take what they dish out does not feel good and it forces you down a single course of action . sure shooting needs 6s or worse to wound, but there are enough cheatsy elvses (for example)running about with rivendell dice that the early damage can be substantial.🤣 being able to hit back/force movement does a lot to widen your tactical options.

I must say it annoys me when people want to see more of a model, but are unwilling to even read its rules. You can still ally Floi from Kingdom of Khazad Dum, there is no ally restriction tied to a Dwarf King + Floi. He keeps the remove a special rule ability, but loses out on the regain extra will special rule, so my gigachad list at 800 is: Khazad-Dum Dwarf King 8 Dwarf rangers w/ bow and throwing axes 6 Dwarf warriors w/ shield Floi "ya boi" Stonehand 9 Dwarf warriors w/ shield White council Gandalf the Grey w/ horse Lothlorien Haldir w/ bow and armour 8 Galadhrim w/spears 1 Galadhrim w/ spear and banner 5 Wood elves w/bow and spear

slap angbor and a bunch of clansmen into gondor (or rohan). cheap fight 4 (F5 striker) thats fearless, has fearless standfast on angbor for your other troops and has a 6" banner effect for the clansmen. him and 15 are only 185. can do dirty things to a black num frontline. he also does pretty well in pure fiefdoms if you build cav heavy. if things go horribly and your cav gets isolated/dies, he keeps your remnants on the board even if your broken and can act as a banner for clansmen even after imrahil dies.

Commission dioramas you say? Would the intern make me a custom display board for riders of theoden? 🤔

Commenting here each week feels like getting coaching for free :P Valid comments on the elendil/galadriel front. I was considering other avenues as one of the other fixed scenarios is seize the prize and having a captain for march seems quite good for that (plus numenor captain on horse with lance stealth filth). But perhaps galadriels command/immobilise + sentinel is sufficient to keep the prize in place while elendil establishes dominance :) Big fan of irolas, I used to always take ingold over him but his unique combo of heroic actions is really good. Looking forward to next week.

Thanks for the great comments on my Khazad-Dum army chaps. I'd like to say it was spicey conversion work my end, but the Dwarves Rangers (and the shield boys) are all from the fabolous Medbury Miniatures range. I'm making it my mission to grab as many unique Dwarf Ranger sculpts as possible, then field 40+ throwing axes and go second on Maelstrom to ruin someone's day. Was my first tournament so very humbled to come out with a best painted. I do have an actual question now though so half your Q&A section will be reading this. After using Khazad-Dum a while the re-rolls of 1's never seems to pop off, forever rolling 2's and 3's. My question is, do we think the new Arnor boys coming out will give a yellow alliance with the stumpy boys some more legitimacy? The cheap spears addition where already an option, but now heavy mounted units and a possible 3 Might mounted hero gives some new options. Do we think we'll start seeing a more 3-way with them both and a Gwaihir at higher points? Keep up the great work chaps ✌️ Chitter chitter

wednesday is fast becoming the best day of the week :P I have a 707pt event coming up and am planning on running numenor/lothlorien. One of the scenarios is contest and elendil+galadriel leaves me with too few models for my liking. Choosing between elendil+haldir or isildur+celeborn as the hero combos. Any thoughts?

My list for the Wolf's Lair: Thorin on Goat w orcrist 6x Iron Hill dwarves 5x " " w spear 4x " " w spear and crossbow 1x " " w banner and spear Iron Hills Captain on Goat 6x Iron Hills dwarves 6x " " w spear Legolas on horse 1x Mirkwood cav w shield Major weaknesses are against magic and only having 32 models isn't ideal. It does however allow me to convert all of my heroes which might give me a fighting chance at best painted against John 😂

that 500 riders of theoden looks fun. got a similar fiefdoms list at 500 and those small, hero heavy cav lists almost always get you an enjoyable game

Haha thanks for taking the time to look at my list. The event has pure/green allies only so pure kkd perhaps had more of a chance to shine. I had the 2h axe on the king as I didn't really have anything to do with the last 5 pts. Occasionally useful to help kill something big that I was swamping 👍. Another great video keep up the good work.
