My god. My meme made it in. An honour.
Love the content!
Matt is a good guest. 6/10 would listen again
Looking forward to the city of kings and hopefully getting to play against one of you. It's my first GBHL100 and only my second Tournament so fully expect to lose but hopefully learn from the best players in the league.
Thanks for the feature on your podcast. Truly honoured
Really enjoyed the pod again lads, and always nice to hear Matt’s beautiful tones.
I wasn’t just winning a 90 FYI, I also got very drunk the night before for my end of hockey season dinner!
It would be nice to have a really quick gaze over the 90 lists though, possibly the next pod? I know you guys know my list but it could intrigue others.
Another fantastic pod gents!
I’ll have to look into “The One Ring” and looking forward to next week’s podcast.
Love the podcast. How viable do you feel the Avenger Bolt Thrower is in competitive play? Curious about any ways to make Minas as able to compete with the best as possible
Great pod. Two questions.
1) Can we get more tactical breakdowns of masters games?
2) Was there a discussion about a GBHL Ardacon team in the end?
What kind of tactical breakdown would you like to see? I can come up with some bits if theres an interest
@@davidfarmer577 maybe pick a game or two and discuss thought process throughout. For example, initial thoughts / strategies as you deploy and then more micro tactics throughout key moments / phases? How you capitalised on minute mistakes / other people capitalised on yours. Would be good to hear those sort of breakdowns from elite players.
Maybe even break down one of your games with a guest masters opponent on the pod.
Sounds like good content to me - you could probably draw up images of the map, similar to the maps/ boards for white dwarf battle maps.
@@matthewlight5969 love this
Can we have a guest host doing an impersonation of Denbigh every week?
Denbigh with a beard goes kinda hard
Matt was starting to give a great breakdown as to why Ashes approach was incorrect v Easterlings (striking F5 hero’s being out diced etc.). What would the correct approach have been in his shoes?
I wasn’t so much trying to outline that it is incorrect - I think it is the way you need to go about evening the odds, what i was highlighting is that it isn’t mathematically/ resource wise a sure set path to victory. If you do the strategy (let’s say over 5 games) a bunch of times some of the heroes will fail their duel rolls and either be overspending on might points, or losing and die.
@@matthewlight5969 Ah ok understood. So really it’s just a tough matchup for the Sully/WK side regardless of the approach?
Wouldn't 3rd and 2nd place lists be better off taking WK+Crown+3M+2F+Horse (130pt) over the shadow lord? and swapping the 8 trackers for 4 more BlackNums/Moranons? I don't see that the shadow lords ability is that useful when most of your troops are D6+.
Also please can someone explain to me why BlackNums supported by Mornanons is so good?
Lastly why is it better to take an orc warrior with the banner and not give the banner to a Moranon orc?
Hi all, love the content! There is a tournament coming up in NZ soon at 650 points playing recon, divide, storm, command , and hold ground. What armies can you see doing well? Also what 5 scenarios would you choose for a tournament?
