    Thanks lads. As always, awesome to hear your reflections. While I agree that GW are doing a great job of balancing the game, I think the biggest reason it is in a good spot is because of fans like you guys that continue to promote the game as a great way to sit down with your mates and have fun. I don't know how GW game design decisions are made, but I suspect that you guys (and other like you) have had an influence on where the game is at. Thanks for all your hard work over the years. Glad you are still having fun with it. I am too. :)

    And not to mention one of the best things about this game is you two gentlemen, your obvious love for the game is definitely contagious. Keep up the great work. Cheers 😊

    Thanks guys for your excellent banter and continued enthusiasm and love for the game. The game definitely feels in a wonderful spot these days, and it's great watching you play or talk about it!

      Thank you for your kind words. We've tried other things at other times but UW keeps drawing us back and I think we're going to knuckle down and focus on it for the foreseeable. Or at least until the next squirrel comes along.

    I love the option to paint and play a variety of different warbands. Also, juggling work and family stuff means games that don’t take too long are ideal! 👍

      Totally agree! Who has time these days for 3+ hours of 40K ?! 😓

    As someone who plays a lot of casual MTG and always wanted to play competitively but couldn't because of the cost, in underworlds one core box is literally all a new player needs to have a competitive deck.

    Would errata'd cards be a good inclusion in Tournament packs?

    • @AgentsofSigmar
      @AgentsofSigmar  Před 4 měsíci +1

      it certainly wouldn't hurt, though GW don't tend to reprint cards unfortunately 😫

      They'd be a good inclusion for White Dwarf...(fat chance)

    i would like to have some warband restricted cards in nemesis. Because decks like domitan, ephilim, spiritpack, hedkkraka, snarlfangs, etc. They all have very good warband ploys, objectives and upgrades and that makes the old warbands really struggle, like eyes of the nine, the first dwarfs, beastmans and so on... those low tier warbands

    • @AgentsofSigmar
      @AgentsofSigmar  Před 4 měsíci +2

      its a tough line to follow, nemesis' lure is its simplicity, adding in restricted cards will make it less accessible for newer players, often you find that people tend to shy away from the obvious choices as much in friendly play and even in tournaments though so the community is sort of self policing a bit (says the man who took Ephilims to his previous but one tournament... 😆)

    • @markreynolds1436
      @markreynolds1436 Před 4 měsíci

      I would HATE for that to happen. Maybe 10 warbands are unable to compete - mostly older warbands. To restrict everyone's play for the quest for balance would be terrible. Far better to accept that some older warbands have a disadvantage and strive to keep the new warbands to a standard in my opinion.
      If balance does happen it should be in the form of the excellent Sepulchural Guard rerelease. And for those warbands who are never going to be looked at (Ylthari for example), play with some house rules or put them against equally understrength opposition.

      @heronvitor6886 Před 4 měsíci

      @@markreynolds1436 i think the game should be balanced for every warband. to neglect those older ones i think its a mistake. Yes, if they remake most of the old ones is a very good thing, but its going to take a loooong time for that to happen.

    • @markreynolds1436
      @markreynolds1436 Před 4 měsíci

      @heronvitor6886 Oh - in an ideal world so do I. But to affect my Gnarlspirit Pack games versus my friends' Pandaemonium just so the occasional Ironskull game is more balanced isn't the way to do it.
      Think of Blood Bowl. For 30 years + a Halfling player has known that they aren't balanced against the top teams. Snotling players even more so. It's accepted that not all teams are created equal, and you play those teams precisely because you want the challenge. I myself mained the Eyes of the Nine for several years - not because they were balanced, but because they weren't and I enjoyed the challenge. With approaching 60 warbands it's never going to be perfect, I'd rather they just did the best they can with the new warbands and maybe occasionally throw the old warbands a bone now and then.

      @AgentsofSigmar  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Personally I (Pete) am ok with older warbands being neglected especially as they’ve been out of print and unavailable for years now in many cases. Ideally yes everything would be balanced in perpetuity but that’s just never going to be possible so after a period of time warbands should maybe just be rotated out and put to bed after doing their time.

    i think you're right. Aos is a great game but it is a large investment, Warcry is also a fantastic game which i highly vote for - but it is rather simplistic, which is both a good and bad thing.
    Underworlds however is....Arguably the cheapest and easiest investment into the hobby, no glue no paints, a tiny board and a single small box contains the entire game.
    For such a small game its got such a vast amount of depth and replayability to it.

    Rotating warbands in game about warbands? No, ty.
