Hi there, some advice if you don’t mind. If I am already learning music theory and piano (kind of properly) on the one hand but also want to become and stay agile on the guitar (which I already play a bit) what would you advise I should do. Should I just learn songs on the guitar, and maybe scales and chords. Tia.

Hello, thanks for the video. I have been avoiding this section for a long time now, my reasoning was, i already know many of my chords and thought these lessons might couse some muscle memory confusion down the line. Buuuuutttt i recently realized my BRAIN needs the "baby steps" approach of these lessons to recognize chord notation. And there were two other things that was causing considerable frustration for me, that your video addressed perfectly. NOW, i can finally get over the hump and get on with learning these lessons. The drills are also great. Thank You !!!! After reading another comment about how nice is that you take the time to explain, how many strings to strum with these chords or why some chords (G7) have different notation. Yeah, it is really nice to have that explained. I kept asking myself, "what am i not understanding/missing, that is making this so confusing" it is very frustrating sometimes. As i said before, this video cleared up my confusion. Thanks again!!

Hi Nick, I really glad to have found you and you are doing an amazing job! I have a question, I am an intermediate classical pianist and very much serious about and will be around early advanced by next year, I had little guitar playing experience when I was a kid and then I quit so was thinking to now learn it side by side but I don't want anything serious with Guitar but would love to pick it up and play some church songs and hymns, so do you recommend me to go with Hal Lenoard method as I see you also have Mel Bay method in your channel or should I do something completely different or maybe stick with my piano, let me know your thought, much appreciated! Thanks again.

Hey I am just confused with reading it. I play piano so I have no trouble reading the notes, Im just confused as to when it has the chords written above like in Tom Dooley, are you meant to play the chord, and just add in the written note to the chord as well for each note? Or are they just meant to be seperate. Thank you
