Hey Nick. I'm new to your channel. We are using the Hal Leonard book in the group lessons I am taking in our Village. I'm glad I found your channel, as you touch on the chords more than the book does, and strumming patterns. In regard to the Grand Finale strumming pattern, it looks like you are palm muting after short strums on the 1 and 3 beats, but I'm struggling seeing when you throw in the up-strums. Are you doing a D DU D DU pattern with short muted strums on 1 & 3 and longer down-strums on 3 & 4? Also, tell me the benefits of joining your Patreon account. Thanks.

Hello Arthur, I’ve already begun Hal Leonard book 2. You can access those lessons through my CZcams membership or via Patreon.

When you play measure 2 on each line, are you resting your palm on the strings. Or are you hovering over the strings so that measure one can keep ringing.

Hi Gene. I am not resting my palm on the strings on the melody in any part. Just letting those notes ring! For the chords, I am doing a little bit of palm muting on beats 1 and 3 of each measure.
