This is the thirty-seventh lesson in a series of lessons using the Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1 as our primary source of instruction. This lesson focuses on page 42 of the Hal Leonard method. This lesson teaches a new song called "Minuet in G" and two parts as well as chords. Hope you enjoy!
This series is not intended to replace the Hal Leonard Guitar method, but to act as a supplement to it. You will need a copy of the book to be successful using this series. I've included an Amazon link to the book below.

Thank you, Nick, this series has been incredible. I hope you continue with book 2, I am so happy to have found you on CZcams and to have followed along with these books, It has helped me so much and you are a wonderful teacher!
I really hope you do the other books, this was a great series.
PS I listened to your Jan 18 Patreon video on similar topic to below. I kind of agree it would be useful to have some pointers to other useful resources to add other dimensions or simply variety to my daily practice routine. I like having the books in that I don't have to think too hard about what to do next and it's organized to provide a comprehensive syllabus and always be moving towards something new, but it would be good to have other ideas as to how to fill in practice time and add variety e,g, repetition exercises or whatever. I have been thinking about "branching out" but the available material online is overwhelming as you say, so it's helpful to just have some recommendations.
I'm wondering if you're planning to add content tied to HL book 2, since these lessons are close to the end of book 1? I have previously been through the first 2 HL books on my own but went back to the start of book 1 accompanied by your lessons as I found them helpful to have some pointers to focus on, demonstrations and practice guidance. Now I'm wondering what should be my next step. I do find it quite helpful to have some video content to accompany whatever method/book I'm following. Even if you do release HL book 2 content it may come out at a rate slower than I would follow, so maybe I should look at Mel Bay series?
What will be the tempo for this song?
try learning at 60 and then working up to a higher tempo once you've got it down
Slow or fast (60 BPM - 72 BPM) or (120 BPM - 144 BPM)
