Do you think 5 notes polyphony in a synth is enough? If you like long release sounds - it's not! So, that's the reason why you need Prophet 10 instead of Prophet 5 :D :D :D Anyway, this amazing Sequential legend is again in front of me but now with 10 notes polyphony. And, it's also Bi-Timbral so you can use two different patches in layer or split mode. Enjoy this recording!
Recorded directly from Prophet 10 audio out to Tascam DR-05X recorder (wav 24/96).
Sequential Prophet 10 specifications:
- Velocity sensitive 61-key Fatar keyboard with aftertouch
- 200 Factory programs, 200 User memory
- 2 CEM 3340 VCOs per voice
- Simultaneously selectable waveforms of oscillators A and B.
- Oscillator A: sawtooth, square / Oscillator B: sawtooth, triangle, rectangle Pulse width per oscillator

Can you suggest a bass synth for a beginner for p funk and disco sound? how about the behringer ms-1? Monologue Or spending more for the poly-d?
All those synths are good, the best solution is to try them all. I will add to that list an Bass Station 2 too! :D

What is the price of this sinth please ?
I bought one of these off the back of this video. Absolutely love it, it's the mid 90's in a box. It's such an enigma, i feel i could use it everyday for 10 years and still only scratch the surface. The specs are even better than i read, it has 4 lfo's per voice not 2. So many sound design options in there. It feels special every time i use it.
Can you tell me how many sounds the syx file that you share with us has, I opened it with the Yamaha FM7 but only 32 sounds come out, do you know if there are more?
DX-7/TX-7 bank have max 32 presets. This bank have 32 too.

warning: newbie question: Can anyone tell me how to use SysEx to upload new patches to the SY-22 I have. I've always wanted to do this, but was a bit intimidated. I'd like to take the plunge with this soundset, if I can feel confident I can walk myself through the process. Is there a good "How to SysEx for Dummies" or something on the internet?

When I started playing solo gigs in 1987, this was the recommended unit for my bass sounds. I combined that with a Yamaha PF10 piano, Roland Juno1 synth, Korg Poly61 synth and Yamaha RX15 drum machine; bass/drums powered by a Korg SQD-1 sequencer. I sang atop that. I still own the FB-01 but don't really use it. I pulled it out the other night to record a background track of Eleanor Rigby and it was flawless.
BS2 is plastic and better and has more top to bottom at 1/2 the price.

Wow right around 10min is the sound from bjorks human behaviour-listen to 1min mark of that song! Update: Ok did some googling and found its indeed that…the pharaoes jig sound or something like that and MJ also used it in Jam. And possibly Genesis?? Need to check.

I used to have one too. But i gave it away. I didnt like the sound. The Oscillators always sound the same. DM12 has to less waveforms in my opinion.
But the modulations, effects and algorithms are awesome.
