    E-mu Systems Proteus 1 - User Demo Song (Multitimbral Mode)
    Real time recording from Proteus 1 stereo outs (16 part multitimbral mode) to Tascam DR-05X (24bit/96khz resolution). Only Factory presets used. Arranged in Cubase. Postproduced with Waves mastering plugins on stereo mix only - there's no plugins on individual sounds.

    Nice. Do the older models sounds more characterful than the Proteus 2000? Aslo did you use any other compression or processing plugins beyond the mastering? thanks

      No, there's no plugins on individual sounds. I recorded this track as 16 part mix (from Proteus 1 stereo outs) and then postproduced that stereo mix with plugins.

      Proteus 1 have samples prepared in 39 Khz resolution (not 44.1 or 48Khz samples) and 16bit D/A converters. In my opinion, it sounds a little bit darker and lo-fi/rawish then later models (e.g. Proteus 2000 with 18/20bit D/A converters and 44.1Khz samples)
