All sounds are recorded directly from PRO-800 to Tascam DR-05x recorder in 24bit/96kHz resolution, without any FX processing.
This is another one analog 8-voice polyphonic synth from Behringer. It's a recreation of the vintage Sequential Prophet 600 from 1982. This little thing sounds great with the Poly Mod section, with 400 user presets and with fantastic price.

Behringer PRO-800 Specifications:
- Two oscillators per voice, each with a selection of saw, triangle, and square wave forms as well as pulse width and level controls
- Low-pass filter (-24 dB/oct.)
- Noise generator
- LFO with six selectable wave forms
- Two ADSR envelopes (filter and VCA)
- Poly Mod section for modulation of oscillator A and filter frequency via filter envelope and oscillator B
- Switchable Unison mode
- 400 presets
- Arpeggiator
- Numerous other parameters adjustable via the menu
- All sound generation parameters controllable via MIDI CC
- Inputs for sync and filter CV: 3.5mm mini-jack
- Two line outputs: 6.3mm jack and 3.5mm mini-jack

Nice sound out of this thing for the money but for some reason the unison doesn't sound right and as nice to my ears when compared to sequential or other synths. I have already played with detune and other parameters. I wonder why is that?

Quite the opposite. Fatter sounding than any software synth on the market. Pure analog tone vs boosted low end eq in software plugins.
Yeah, slightly thin compared to real Prophet but is better than soft synth.
In my opinion - no!
As an owner of a P5 Rev 4 I must admit: the Pro-800 definitely has that Prophet sound.
It's your phone or your eyes. If they were showing a Prophet on the screen, everyone would say "Oh how great it sounds". But since you see a Behringer, your eyes say "it just can't sound as good". People like myself who own the Oberheim OB-XA and the Behringer UB-XA say the Behringer sounds just as good as the original. I couldn't believe it, but it's true. Check the honest comparisons. The only difference is what you see.
No stereo sound?
Many very popular vintage synths doesn't have stereo output. It's normal.
@@wolfgangSvukan yes, I know that. But Poly D, Vocoder and Deepmind 6/12 have stereo output. That's fine.
@@analogsynthesizer They have stereo outs because all those synths have internal FX: DM6/12 have digital FX, PolyD and VC340 have analog chorus/ensemble. Pro-800 doesn't have any FX.
