Behinger Pro 800 Pros Cons and Facts my review

- Behringer Pro-800 my review. On a scale of 10, this is a solid 5! I am not one of those people for whom a low price for a product prevents me from thinking objectively about the product. Therefore, 5 points out of 10 is really objective, even taking into account the price.
My rating does not make Uli Behringer's products worse than, for example, Moog's products! I would generally give all Moogs 1 or at most 2 points. If I were a millionaire, I still wouldn't buy one of the Moogs! In other words, I have a lot to dislike about any product from this company!
If Uli hadn't made some significant mistakes in the PRO-800, my rating would have been higher.
I don’t want to tinker with the PRO-800 in order to solve some problems by resoldering SMD parts. Yes, I know in advance that it will only take me 4..6 hours with disassembling, re-soldering and assembling the synthesizer. But nevertheless, even modulations and general capabilities are not enough for me.A week was enough time for me to make the decision to “send the synthesizer back or leave it.” I decided that I could live peacefully without PRO-800.
Overall, I would consider this product by Uli Behringer to be a success in objective terms.

Great sounds and presentation!. I personally really like this synth it sounds a bit gritty and really big in the same time - not very common combination. It will not replace a lush polysynth but if someone (me) is looking for something really more “grounded” - this is perfect little synth.
I agree with the noise part - it can be a bit noisy. Also the midi thru is unreliable - i noticed random lags and missed notes.
But i love the sound and it is all it counts;)
Will you return the unit or compare it with another one? I've never been able to handle situations like those. Most of the time I've ordered 2 pieces & returned the "worse" one. In my case its completely excluded that doubts do NOT arise. To prevent depressions I mostly ordered 2, to assure that "mine" ain't the only device with the querks that mostly come out.

i've now got a pro800 and it sounds better after updating and loading a bank of patches for the sound you want

That's very helpful. I have a Behringer Pro-1 and the output level is perfectly fine, I would have been very disappointed if I bought a Pro-800 and found the level to be as low as what you are reporting. I wonder if it's like that for everyone. and if it is possible this will be improved in a new production run.
It is not that bad. By combining a bit lower output and gain on preamp it is manageable. But there is noise for sure
