Man, I miss my DR-660. When I think about all of the gear that passed through my hands over the years... I sold this and bought an Alesis SR-16 which synced better with my sequencer which was, an Alesis MMT8 before moving on to the Atari. All vintage gear that I wish I still had in an attic somewhere. The item I miss most is the Roland TR606, I loved that machine
If you still miss the 606 you can get the behringer rd6. Its a very close clone that includes a few extras like a clap and its way cheaper than what people want for 606s at the moment. There is just something about those ultra simple and limited drummachines.
I reckon this one & the DR-5 are the best of the digital Boss series. The DR-550 mkii is quite useful too but only has MIDI in. I'm a big fan of the Yamaha RY series as well.
this saved my ass back when. but I hated they omited the full 909 kit from it. No hats.
Got one but it's broke!!! Cool demo!!
Think i might have the dr550 in the loft some where... Always had problems with the midi port
where am I
What s the first kit?
Which is better... this one or the alesis sr-16???
I used DR660 a lot but I never try SR16.
It’s it possible to load ur own samples onto it?
no, you can just edit samples from DR660's ROM
Lacked decent memory
