This is Roland MC-808 sampling groovebox with 8 touch sensitive motorized faders (60 mm), 128 note polyphony, 128 MB sampling RAM and free soft editor.
Roland MC-808 has very complex sound engine. OK, it's a ROMpler but it has very good editing options. A patch is made up of four tones. Each tone can have two different sample waveforms, one for the left channel and one for the right channel. Waveforms can be either factory waveforms, or samples (both work the same way).
Rhythm patches are made up of 16 tones, each one assigned to a note. Rhythm tones can be made up of up to four waveforms.
Each of four Tones are generated by a wave generator then sent to a Time Variant Filter (TVF) and then to a Time Variant Amplifier (TVA). The WG, TVF and TVA all have an envelope which controls their operation. Standard patches have two LFOs available, which can be assigned to modulate the WG, TVF or TVA.
MC-808 has 864 factory patches which are created from 622 factory waveforms (samples). Also, you can add new waveforms via USB or via sampling function.
Some parameters can be modified on board using a motorized faders. For more complete patch editing the 808 must be hooked up to a computer via a USB cable running the 808's free patch editor.
The sound generator allows for the routing of parts into two Multi-Effects (MFX) units. There are 46 different effects. Each MFX can be set to one of the 46 effects.
All patches (presets) in this demo are factory patches and they are recorded directly to Tascam DR-05x recorder (24bit, 48 khz) without any audio processing.

Didn't realize waveforms could utilize samples that's a rad features so like layered drum samples or pianos among entirely different possibilities.

Which operating system do you use? I have neve succeed in connecting mc 808 to windows 10

Use XP or 7. I installed drivers and software on my old laptop and it worked.
