Overlapping generations? Where in the Bible or from Jesus himself does it teach that "this" generation means several generations overlapping each other? It doesn't. 1914 just like 1874 are false failed dates based on false dating false doctrine and false teachings. Jesus said "this" generation. Who in Matthew was Jesus talking to? The living disciples. Not only have they passed away but also the "generation" of 1914. Case closed.

1914 is the foundation made of sand that the WBTS has built their house. The tide has come in. The generation of 1914 has "passed away" leaving JW scrambling to twist the words "this generation" into groups of successive generations over a unknown period of time. In Matthew 24, what was the subject? Jerusalem's destruction along with the temple. Who was Jesus talking to? The living disciples. What would precede the destruction of Jerusalem? Wars, famine, earthquakes etc. What was the "sign" the disciples were to look for on his arrival (presence)? Answer: the "sign of the son of man coming down out of heaven..." not in secret or invisible as if "in a inner chamber" or out away "in the wilderness" but where "every eye" will see him like lightning striking from eastern parts to western parts. Jesus then said TO THE LIVING DISCIPLES "This generation will by NO MEANS pass away before ALL THESE THINGS OCCUR." The generation of 1914 has admittedly passed away. So if Jesus didn't return in 1914, then he didn't chose the WBTS to run his business did he? Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 CE well within the lifetime of that generation about 40 years after Jesus told them they would see it. The WBTS has no scriptural foundation for Christs return in 1914. Only anecdotal assumptions, twisted WT history molded to fit events that did not happen.

If I would introduce anyone to an overlapping work shift, or overlapping lunch break, they'd look at me like I had three heads.

I wrote to London Bethel in early 90's about CSA but did not receive any such reply, although there had been police involvement. I left that organisation in 2005 it was the best way forward. Its a true shame that people who joined the JWS didn't realize this organization via the Watchtower Corporation was rooted inherently in false prophesying apostasy going back to the late 1800's. There is direction given in the bible about how to identify false prophets and how to treat them , such as do not listen to them. Didn't Jesus say that no one knows of the time not even he ??? 🤔 These leaders came up a whole strings of self supporting propaganda doctrines such as since they themselves are preaching the Gospel that indicates that mankind is living in the last days, particularly since 1914. The President of the WTS./JWS J Rutherford proclaimed the Jehovah had chosen them in 1919 because they were preaching a true and accurate version of the Gospel, they weren't according to the bible. 😳 Thats why the leaders of the JWS (GB) have been stridently trying to hide that information from its members for decades about the organization preaching and teaching of Pyramidology I just learned about it myself only about 10 years ago on the inter net. I would call it opportunistic corruption and coercive deception by these leaders to attract attention to the literature the WTS published and lure in followers to convert them into subservient slaves and also take money from them. 😳

Towards the end of your video, you said something that particularly caught my ear, that the Society today has veered away from the simple truths as opposed from the sincere teachings in the earlier years. Respectfully, there was never a sincerity from the beginning of the Society. Starting with Charles Russell, his history shows that he was not a theological learned man and picked up a hotchpotch of beliefs, particularly from groups who were into the return and advent of Christ and setting dates. Russell was obsessed with dates and pyramids and made 1874 to be the date of his return. He changed the date at least twice. Rutherford was just as worse as Russell who illegally seized power and while in power claimed 1925 would be that year. It was Rutherford that came up with the doctrines that JW's believe today. A good book on Rutherford's seizure of power is a book by Rud Persson called "Rutherford's Coup". The biggest tragedy is thousands of JW's who have left the organization are in a spiritual limbo, feeling isolated and alone. First of all you are not outside the the grace and will of God and eternal life. When Jesus was deserted by his disciples, Jesus turned to his apostles and asked if they were going to leave also, Peter answered: Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also, we have come to believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God." (John 6:68-69) The Society is a false prophet, why should one believe in the doctrines of the false prophet? Put the NWT away, pick up a reputable translation, pray before you read for the Holy Spirit to open your mind to real truths in the scriptures and breath the air of freedom that is in Christ.

So glad y joined the group!!!! Our numbers are growing. I was one , aux. Pioneer, did everything by the book, but there was always a jole in my heart thst i could not fill. I would spend more time in service, read old watchtower and awake article, pray more, go visit older ones in the congregation and notjing filled thst hole. Thete is s reason, the hole in all of our hearts is meant to be filled by Jesus and when you finally get thst in your mind and heart❤ you are finally on the road to being saved. I think it was in 1935 when they said the choosing of the anointed was complete. Hence, there never should have been 2 groups of anointed to overlap.

I've never understood the fascination associated with Armageddon. It is a final battle which occurs following the thousand year reign of Jesus. We will be long gone by then. I recall as a kid living in Prince George being told that Jesus would return in 1974. Several years later, it became 1975 and the third failed prediction as I discovered much later. I recall waking up the morning of Jan 1/76 in Cornwallis and nothing had changed except the calendar date.

That’s a wonderful example of how they replying. I just wish I can see text of this letter, English is not my first language, but the fact that none of the scripture was provided- say it all.

Just found your channel, but the points you make are just as relevant today as 7 years ago. There's no deep study of the scriptures as when Russell started, now it's all emotion, hype and gloss on JW Broadcasting, with little use of the bible. They're becoming tv evangelists $$$

I agree that JWs are very poor at protecting children in their congregations and they will do whatever they need to in order to cover up all the bad things that go on in their congregations everywhere. JWs have a very powerful legal department and they fight their cases viciously. I've heard and read about some of the legal cases they have been involved in and they are not pretty, usually about child molestation. I wish someone somewhere would shut them down permanently because they cause a lot of people great harm. I know this because I was raised in that cult. I disassociated myself formally from them and am so glad that I did. It is good to hear that JWs lost that court case. I hope they continue to lose legal cases. I hope they will be fully exposed someday soon for all the bad things they do.

Thank you so much for sharing. I left JWs a long time ago. I disassociated myself formally with a letter. I was abused in various ways when growing up and all of it was covered up even with threats from my parents that I better not tell anyone what goes on at home. There were lots of cases of abuse going on that I had heard about from my friends in the congregation. It was horrible. The worst of it is that the perpetrators were always protected. My parents kicked me out of our home without warning when I was 18 and told everyone, especially the elders, that I was rebellious in order to cover up what was going on at home and protect their cover up and to protect my uncle, who was a JW and who sexually abused me. All 3 of them died in "good standing" with the organization. I also did research to find out the Society's stand on abuse and couldn't find anything at that time, decades ago. That was convincing enough for me to get out of that cult. I am very glad you and your family got out of it. It's the best thing you could have done for yourselves and your family. I wish you the very best.

Pure watchtower NO BIBLE

When I was a kid 30 plus years ago there were lots of people who were JW who didn't attend meetings and had some questions that they were trying to find answers to, but they still were talked to and invited around to get togethers and treated like brothers and sisters. I remember hearing people say that they were just a little weak in faith and needed loving understanding until they found there way. Now the moment someone says "that article doesn't make sense" or "that talk doesn't seem scriptural" they get soft shunned by not getting talked to quite as much and not invited to get togethers. If they stop attending meetings they start getting warned that they are giving room for Satan and people no longer call or text. And if they make it clear that they don't agree with any single teaching from the organization they are branded bad association and fully shunned no matter if they are DFd or not.

Hmm, "scripture references please" -sends references to watchtower articles- OHHH now I get it, the Bible has been replaced with the Watchtower now, that makes sense since obeying Jehovah or God has been replaced with "obey the governing body". The new light is obey watchtower as the word of god and the governing body as god.

Hello. Thank you for your simple honest truth put over in a non judgemental way. I had 35 years of being in this religion. I am not without my own faults but I had children mistreated - one abused very seriously - wrote to "Watchtiwer" received no reply and was accused of being disloyal for going to the doctor with my child! So I went to the police about it resulting in two court cases both reported in the press. It cost.me my first marriage. I broke free in 2005. Finally.

I am trying to get the Charities Commission in the UK to remove the various Watchtower corporations and charities from charity status here in Britain. I have written many times to the Charities Commission, but I have been ignored or fobbed off with them sending me ridiculous e-mails which have completely all of ignored the points which I had raised in my letter. My main focus has been my 40+ videos, uploaded to CZcams where British UK elders have told me that Queen Elizabeth rules the UK by the authority of the devil. However, in a discussion with a British Political party policy manager, he gives me the link to a House of Lord select committee on Charities and advices me to write to them, as they do have the authority to change policy on Charities in the UK. This is why we must all think seriously about religion, God, and the after life. Someone I once knew made this statement "There are no atheists in foxholes." He was a veteran with wartime experience on the front line. What this meme is meant to express is that it is easy to be an atheist when you are not being immediately confronted with your own mortality and the with the frailty of your own human life. Likewise, it is easy to believe lies when they make you feel secure.... but you only know for sure if you believe them when you receive a terminal cancer diagnosis, or when you have only a few minutes left to live on the emergency room table. Sometimes death happens so suddenly there is no time to reflect at all. So.... do you really believe you'll be coming back to live on a paradise earth one day after you die? Do you really have peace with turning to dust and being a feast for the worms? Not many JWs can really honestly answer such questions.
