  • It took us a while to allow ourselves to research on the Internet but after we stopped going to meetings we discovered jwsurvey and jwfacts ... only wish we'd found them sooner!

    The thing with you and I and many who leave the JW is that we care about whether something is true or not. Unfortunately, from my conversations with my JW family members, they don't actually care if their beliefs are based on the truth, facts or evidence. For my family in particular, they like the idea of "seeing their loved ones again", and they like the community, and like a little child, they will cover their ears and close their eyes and yell "la la la la la I can't hear you la la la", when confronted with truths about the JW organization.
    They are like drug addicts that just want their fix, and they say things like "why do you want to take my happiness away"? From the outside looking in, it's really sad.

      SPOT ON!!!!
      My wife is a Jehovas Witness. She was inactive for 15 years, the her grandmother died about 3 1/2 years ago and she went to the funeral and some brother approach her about not worrying because she would see her grandmother again in paradise. ...Well ever since my life has changed dramatically. ..I'm catholic and you can just imagine. ...I had to do a crash course on the Internet and buy hundreds of old publications, from Russell up until now...Anyways, my wife will NOT listen at any truths about the TRUTH...Funny, you said that they just cover their ears and say " La,la,la,la etc"...my wife actually did that!!!...recently I have been very direct about my findings with the proceedings of the Royal Commission and she eliminates my text and emails...She is way gone!...She donated 30,000 dollars to this organization...she gave up driving and rides a bike and doesn't help AT ALL with household expenses!!! (I think she is trying to force me to be violent and aggressive so she can look good with her peers in the congregation and have me be the bad guy)...
      I'm amazed how she now knowing all that I have said, All the proof at her fingertips in videos and in my texts and emails, she just acknowledges my concerns and still continues to go knocking on doors for 1hr a week and doesn't care about my feelings or concerns...And she once described her "spiritual food" as her drug...She is a true fanatic in this cult...I'm close to filling for Divorce and moving on...it's very difficult to see someone purposely ruin their lives and not allowing her husband or other love ones help her..
      Amazing. ..
      great video and thanks and sorry about the rant!

      +Luis Carabali I'm meant to say, that my wife goes knocking door to to door and goes to bus stops for 18 hours a week and sometimes an additional 6 hours on Saturday. ..

      +Richard D I think your comment is the most accurate one i ever read.I've come to the same (or similar) conclusion myself and that is the paradise Earth idea, they WANT it to be true so bad,it doesn't even matter if the Bible teaches it or not. So like you said,like with a drug addict, they go into delusional thinking,or a real psychological disorder,some to the point of loosing their humanity.

    • @WoWNimblybimbly

      +Richard D Yup. My husband who was born into this religion, as I was, is the same way. I woke up and try sharing the real truths with him about the org. and he wants nothing to do with it. He won't do research, he won't read the warnings in the scriptures, and he won't listen to the one person who stood by his side when no one else would, me. The thing is I don't just go off of what others say, I look for the evidence. I think that's what scares him. He knows if I want to know about something I will hunt it down aggressively. And when I do find it I will tell everyone what I have found and it will be irrefutable. I truly believe that real truth stands up to scrutiny and deception gains power with ignorance. He allows himself to be ignorant and so he allows himself to be deceived. I just don't understand why he would believe that happiness is real while it's an illusion. It's such a contradiction and for me it would insult my intelligence. I have found real happiness in deprogramming the false teachings and saving our two children from what we were raised in. I just wish I could've saved my husband as well, but he doesn't want to be saved. He enjoys being blind and lead by the blind.

      *****
      If it does then that would be great, but at this point I'm not getting my hopes up. I've defended him but he has never returned that favor. I think some people are strong enough to stand up for themselves and others, while other people just can't.

    We can so understand the huge "guilt" feelings about celebrations....we have not been "in" since around 2006 but never celebrated christmas or birthdays....We had our first christmas 2 years ago and the feelings of guilt and alien-ness was still strong. We were fortunate that we were always able to have non witness family and friends but even so the indoctrination stays with you for many years. our youngest child had her first birthday 2 years ago also, she was 18!. We have not looked back since, and once the anger and idignation subsides you realise that the org is just not worth your trouble in any way. Recently our eldest and her family of 5 kids came out of the org, after doing her own research....we never told them what we had learned, or tried to influence them in any way. The overlapping generations did it for them, and we now only have our mothers and 1 brother on my husbands side who are still "in" . We feel that our family of five kids has been fortunate that we eventually....after a lifetime....learned TATT. We enjoy every moment of our lives now completely free from the burden of man-made doctrines and have made many good and true friends in the "world" since.
    Notice that we still know all the Wt jargon, it may take many more years to forget these, but we will persevere in making our children and grandchildrens lives more fulfilling from now on.
    We love your videos, so keep them coming, they are so encouraging for anyone still trying to leave the org. Just in our imediate family the org has lost 16 members, and now life is good!

    One thing Witness will find in their research is that Jehovah God *commanded* all to worship Jesus Christ. And one knows from scripture that *only* God alone is due worship.
    "Jehovah God commands all to worship Christ Jesus because Christ Jesus is the express image of his Father, Jehovah, and because he is the Executive Officer of Jehovah always carrying out Jehovah's purpose (Heb.:3-6)." (WT 1939 Nov 15 p.339)
    If Jehovah God commanded it and the Watchtower error'd in this belief since then no longer teach it, it shows that the Governing Body can error on *ANYTHING* including the belief that Jesus Christ was (is) created.
    The Governing Body must admit: Jesus Christ could be who Trinitarians say he is: God incarnate, the 2nd person of the Trinity.
    A second thing Witness will find in their research: the Watchtower believes that the Church established by Christ, that Christ *PROMISED* to lead to *ALL* Truth, error'd greatly by the Council of Nicea in 325 ad, when 318 Catholic Bishops met to articulate the doctrine of the Trinity (against a priest named Arius). YET, the very bible that the WItnesses use, the Good News Translation, contains 27 books in the New Testament, decided as scripture out of some 300 early Christian writings by Catholic Bishops 70 years after Nicea. And those Bishops ALL professed Jesus to be God Incarnate.
    So how is it that Witnesses disbelieve those Catholic Bishops on the Trinity, but believe that they without error, could know which books were and were not the Written Word of God?
    These are questions that the Watchtower, led by the Governing Body, fail to ask,
    and answer.
    So it's up to Witnesses to do the research on their own.

    the blood doctrine is the thing that starting me checking things out . i found out that all though we can not have blood and the 4 major components we were all drinking white blood cells in every glass of milk . This fact lead me to conclude that it was not scriptural and they were in violation of there own man made doctrine , meaning they were not directed by holy spirit and i began to dig deeper . Still have not left because i have some unfinished business with the watchtower

    • @sean2val

      +John Bennett do not understand your comment do you understand the blood doctrine ?

    • @sean2val
      @sean2val Před 9 lety +1

      ***** no not true , what you say about blood is correct but watchtower is very clear about blood and its not found in the bible . When you fill in your medical directive for your blood card and you must sign it they clearly state that white blood cell are unacceptable yes . The bible has no reference to white blood cells thats the difference , so we can agree that the bible does not support what watchtower clearly believes would you agree with that ?

    • @donhenhawke3385
      @donhenhawke3385 Před 8 lety +3

      +John Bennett If your not interested what men say, then why... do you follow the 1914 doctrine? Why didnt you leave in 1975? why do you believe the Gov body are the faithful and discreet slave? Why do you follow the overlapping generation nonsense? There is no scriptural accounting for these any many more of what JWS assert.... so yes you do follow men and are interested in what they teach and say...sorry!

    You are right, they are desperate!
    I wrote Jeffrey Jackson, that like the printing press helped bring an end to the 16th century church, the Internet will likewise spell the demise of the Watchtower Organization.. . We hope 🙂
