Most times we use coasters but certain family members don't remember very well (yes, yes it irks me...sigh). I want one that won't leave marks from hot/cold drinks

What type of wood is usually under a veneer? I've been tempted to just remove a veneer that has cracked and chipped

I love mid century pieced and have seen many. I do not see the mistake in the handles. All I see is how you lovingly saved this work of art. You should be so proud.

I have got this same dresser with the mirror in almost the same condition but not quite so bad. I was expecting you to paint it, but this is MUCH better. I was thinking mine was not worth refinishing. You have shown me it is. I have other pieces with veneer missing. You showed how to repair it better than any other video I have watched. Now I know exactly what to do. I have subscribed!

I just bought a stool "as good as new". The guy that sold it, delivered it to my home. If ever there was a euphamism! The stool was in a very bad and worn-out condition, and I'm not a woodworker. I felt sort of obliged to take it, after all, he had brought it all the way to my doorstep, so it turned out to be sort of a "pity buy". Why do people lie about this stuff??

I am late to this party, but GRACIOUS, look at the “fire” in that grain! Did it ever show up in the original finish? Outstanding work, as ever. Nacho is so freaking cool, and the bunnies seem to be okay with him.
