I refinished this old cabinet with map drawers into a functional, movable work table for my work room. Did it turn out EXACTLY as planned? Kind of.. but not really. lol
But it is working great for me so far and I'm overall happy with it.
I hope you enjoy this transformation. ❤️

Fires and floods and yet you still get a video out! What a Wonder Woman! Lol😊
I barely squeaked it out, but managed! Haha
@@TranscendFurnitureGalleryin
Wonderful storm video! I’m glad you all made it!
Yes...last year was crazy here in Nova Scotia
Hole? What hole? Your ability to hide things like that hole continues to amaze me. Kudos!
I was also amazed how the hole just disappeared!
OMGIKR?
PS: I just played the ending back...can't find the hole hahaha omg!!!
Thank you so much!! 🙂
I’m not a fan of yellow wood either 😆 But I think it looks exactly like it was meant to look: functional, organized and unique.
Thank you very much. I really appreciate that!
So Happy you and your Partner and the animals are safe. Love your videos 😍
Thank you so much for watching!
I always watch commercials/ your sponsors etc. I also appreciate the time and effort it goes into filming and editing. Thank you for sharing your craft. Love to you and your spouse and fur babies.
I really appreciate that Jodi. Thank you so much for watching! 😀
I hope your animal mates aren’t scared by lightening or taking to a floaty boat to head to higher ground!! Glad the fires are gone and hope the water finds its new home soon. I really think your new work bench storage cabinet turned out very nicely. It was a good find and your repairs and finishing touches are just fine. You’ll get more work done if you’re not admiring the beautiful kissass cabinet finish anyway. Good job. Stay safe.
Agreed. I always appreciate a channel like Angie's, where I know she uses the sponsor's product and tells us exactly why.
You might have found a darker top would limit you. When I did book repair (retired librarian), I always found myself having to move from the dark table to the lighter topped table because it was easier to see how to line things up, work with tracing or transfer paper and such. Dark materials just blended into the dark top. But you're right, the cool gray doesn't play well with the birch and maple (which I prefer to think of as a "warm, golden glow" rather than "yellow"😉).
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave feedback! I really appreciate it!
I really like the light gray. I think a darker gray would look too bipolar?
Tim's wife here. I've done a few small pieces over the last 30 years or so, and want to get into restoration more consistently. I'm scared to start messing with veneer, but girl, you are my inspiration. I have a 1920's sideboard handed down to me that needs veneer repair due to the damp climate in my part of Ontario and I have a circa 1835 William IV Bow chest dresser that has a few chunks missing and no legs. Thank you for giving me the confidence needed to tackle these two pieces. ✌️💜
You're so incredibly welcome!! All the best when you start working on them! 😀
Just do it!
1. Glad you are all safe!
2. Dang girl! You made that hole disappear!
3. I appreciate you aiming for the sweet spot between form and function. Nicely done!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate that!
I actually really liked the black contrast with the yellow wood color. But I think it’s funny though that the blanket was essentially the same color as the countertop. 😂 But what matters most is if it’s functional for you! I think the map drawers were such a great idea for the veneer. As always I love your videos and I’m sorry the weather has been harsh up there. Stay safe!
Thank you so much for watching! 😃
I really like the way it turned out. Your table top matches your floor. That's a plus.
Thank you so much!
My husband used those same wheels on the huge workbench he made. I was amazed that I could move it around easily. I love the decisions you made on this piece. From the yellowish wound, Odie’s, black handles and gray top. I too love the stains and character. My husbands workbench is much the same snd he has enjoyed it. Thanks for including the awesome lightening as well. Great video!
You're very welcome! Thank you so much for watching! 😃
These wheels are amazing, how can I find them?
As a fellow Nova Scotian, I appreciate the images of the apocalyptic rain storm from last week. I'm North end Halifax and we didn't fare as bad as some parts did. I don't care what your project is, I so enjoy your videos and the journey to the final product. Glad you were spared from the flooding. But so sad for how tragic it was for others in my province.
I'm so glad we were spared as well but my heart breaks for the families in West Hants who have lost family members. So much damage. It was an awful storm.
Great job! Kudos for going the extra mile and not just painting it. I like how it turned out and it will be a nice addition to your workspace. Sorry to hear about the flooding and glad your house was spared. Vermont had the floods last week - like you said - it will take quite sometime to recover. Thank you for bringing us the video, always appreciate getting to watch you create. Stay safe!
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching!
I love watching you do things like camouflage the lock hole. AMAZING!
Thank you!
I'm glad that your four-footed fur babies are all safe and secure. We have had a loss last week, when one of our cats, Spiral Evwngeline, passed away suddenly from an apparent aneurysm. We mourn her, but know we will meet once again across the Rainbow Bridge.
Your repurposing of the lab cabinet was masterfully done; As always, I am in awe of your skills. A slightly darker top would have been better, but the fact that the one you have matches the pad so beautifully is just a hoot.
I always look forward to your videos, and once again you did not disappoint.
I am so sorry for your loss. They leave such a hole. Thank you so much for watching - I really appreciate your kind words. ❤️
Trust me when I say you are the most talented and creative refinisher on CZcams. You have the unique ability to see the beauty in wood. I have learned so much from your videos. I also love your sensitivity and love for your animals. I hope this helps quiet those negative voices in your head. Keep up the excellent work you do. We love you and appreciate everything you do. ❤😊
Thank you so much 😀 I really appreciate that!
I freaking love yellow wood. I can look very “kids bedroom from the 90s” but I think it can also look very cozy when styled more high end. So I’ll be happy to get a glimpse of your new work bench in your videos from now on. 😄 …even if it’s neither maple nor solid wood. 😅 I’m always impressed by your skills when camouflaging wood with markers/pigments, it’s hardly noticeable after.
I’m very happy to hear you and your family are safe. Our house flooded two years ago and it is really scary so my heart goes out to your neighbours.
We are so grateful our house was spared, so many others weren't. I'm so sorry that happened to you 2 years ago! Thank you so much for watching and I appreciate the feedback! 😃
That's a great idea to use for a utility cabinet! Those things are ridiculously expensive, and the sturdiness of this is perfect for it. Perfect choice of pulls, since you can label what's in the drawers. The only thing I would have done differently if we had that would have been to paint it cobalt blue to match the one we bought... cuz I'm like that.
Thanks so much for watching!
I saw the thumbnail for this project and my heart skipped several beats...and I traveled back 40-ish years when I was a young airman stationed at RAF Alconbury. These cases were used as flat chart storage for aircrew flight planning. The larger drawers at the bottom all had locks on them and were used by aircrews to store some of their gear.
These were placed in groups of four...some were still in wheels but the majority had that black mop board to hide the unfinished bases.
Thank you for making my heart smile tonight. I needed to see this and I needed to watch you work your magic on this piece.
Trust me, this and many similar cases have stories to tell....really interesting stories to tell.
Oh! You mentioned Birch and Maple as possible wood sources. I bet if you look at some of the component pieces you'll discover another yellow wood amongst the bits...poplar.
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave such a great comment. I really appreciate it and I'm so glad I could bring back some good memories for you. 😀
I love the fact that you didn't fuss about the little details. Choosing wisely what to spend your time on is a hard lesson but sooo important.
The end result is still beautiful
Thank you very much!
Would love to find a cabinet like this for all my art supplies. Looks amazing.
Thank you!
Thank you for your time with all that is going on, glad you and your partner + animals are safe. Some times the smallest thing show us how fragile this world and life really is. Thank you again for your vision and great content. Love that you left a lot of the set of draws history. x
You're most welcome! 😀
Oooh I love a good lab table/cabinet
Thanks! 🙂
I think how you finished the table is perfect for what it is. The storm footage was awesome! I believe Mother Nature is not happy with the way we have been treating her and she is letting us know! Glad your family is safe .
Yes! Thank you!
Awesome repurposing! I love map drawers, they're so darned useful. And I'm so very glad you, Andrea, and all the fur babies are safe from all the flooding.
Also, the filled and pigment-painted hole is so well done!
Thank you so much for watching!
Dang weather! We have been having 100F temps all last week and the same predicted for this week. We're enjoying a break this weekend with temps in the mid-90s! So glad you and Andrea and the fur babes are safe and sound. I enjoyed this "different" video as you are a master at what you do. Keep up the good work!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching!
I watched another furniture flipper recently and was struck by a number of things I have come to expect from you...but didn't see from them. The drawer boxes were ignored, not sanded, oiled or waxed...even paint residue on the sides of the drawers was left...and brass keyhole hardware was painted around instead of removing. I love that even a utilitarian piece for yourself gets all the attention it deserves. Glad to see you, Andrea and the animals are safe. That flooding was incredible.
It was a crazy storm! Thank you so much for watching!
Oh my goodness
Clamp a spirit level to cut against! Why have I never thought of this !
Glad I could help! 🙂
It reminds me of the shellacked golden color of the toybox our dad made for us as kids, the unfinished furniture dresser he shellacked for our bedroom and the cupboards and drawers of my grand old high school's skylight-ceilinged art classroom. Not usually a fan of golden wood anymore, but you carried the dignity and utilitarian use of the plain strong sunny-colored wood piece forward delightfully in my book. I love it and seeing the solutions you came up with to improve it.
I'm so glad you like how it turned out! Thank you very much for watching! 😀
Woo…, You looked carefully at your old classrooms. I don’t remember mine.
@@boa1793 Don't beat yourself up, I had art classes in that room for 3 years, and many other both wonderful & tragic reasons to remember it well.
@@woofwoof-w4g 😂 you didn't happen to attend Central Kings High in Cambridge... perhaps? lol Science class was my nemesis...🤪 Math did me in.
@@girlnorthof60 Nope, much further west near the Rockies! So many fond memories.
I love this workbench/storage unit. I don’t mind the yellow at all. Maybe because I’m from the land of little houses covered in pine panels and filled with pine furniture (Sweden). I’m a jeweller and all my studio furniture is thrifted and full of history. I love that. I really liked seeing all the lightning, I’m glad you and your property and cats and bunnies were safe.
Thank you so much! Your studio sounds lovely and homey. Thank you for saving pieces of your own!
Angie, I like the grey top with the wood tones! A restored piece in your shop is an example of your work.
I am happy to know you and your family are safe. I enjoy your videos and look forward to receiving notifications.
Thank you!
You're so welcome! Thank YOU for watching!
I think that wanting the shop furniture to look good, despite the inevitable wear that will come, speaks a lot to a woodworker's desire for quality in everything. Plus, this is a piece YOU are going to be using and looking at all the time, so why not make it look as nice as you can?
Thanks so much for watching! 😊
I would have washed very lightly the bare wood with a light grey wash, very transparent but to give the piece a less yellowish color. I have done it myself on yellow pine with success. However, the piece is more than fine as it is. Well done. 😊
I was thinking the same thing. However, I'm not hating the finished product. It's a workbench, and in the grand scheme of things, function is more important than fashion. I think it's an amazing and functional piece 😊
Thank you so much for watching! 😃
Holy cow you made that patch spot totally disappear!
Thank you!
This is an artist's DREAM. I stalk local websites looking for pieces like this, and finding one for a decent price is SO RARE. You did a beautiful job on it!
Also, I'm sorry about the crazy weather and flooding you've had. Nova Scotia is so beautiful and unique--a visit is on my bucket list. I hope you and your loved ones are safe and well.
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Your "new" cabinet looks great! I agree on the top, black would have been nice, but function is obviously there. You're going to enjoy this one so much!
Thank you kindly!
Wow, your storm footage was something else! So good to hear that you didn't have any damage from the flooding at your place, but sad about neighbors and animals who were affected.
Your cabinet turned out great. I didn't mind the handles that were on it, but what you added, looked nice. Looks like it will be a really useful piece for your work and you learned things while working on it!
Thanks so much!
This was a beast to work with!
I would’ve added one of the powder tints (without adjusting so you could recreate it when necessary) to Odi’s to get a wood color you like more.
Sometimes budget wins and you have to use something like your gray top, but something will come along you can repurpose for your work top. You’re very good at seeing the potential in materials.
So sorry to see the flooding, but really glad you, partner, bunnies & cats are safe! 😻
Once things get mixed together, it goes from their two separate shelf lives to a single “pot life”. Normally the pot life is less than the shelf life, and it could honestly be tomorrow or three years down the road when I inevitably ding it, so having to try and remix an exact recipe down the road would be hard. The other issue is that once there is a pigment, it acts more like a stain so just touching up a single spot would be incredibly difficult (unlike just using the clear coat). So that’s why I ultimately opted for the just the Odie’s on its own. Thanks for watching!
@@TranscendFurnitureGallery Ahhh. Why hasn’t Odie’s made you a brand ambassador? You know their products so well!
Your abilities are unmatched. I actually (and weirdly) liked how the yellow and gray worked together here.
I'n glad! Thank you so much for watching!
25:20 As we sometimes say in the South, Daaayyyuuummm! I couldn't believe that big round patch simply disappeared! Magnificent work, Angie!
For me I'd use the original pulls and finish them in matte black
Thanks so much for the feedback!
Loved the way this turned out, good job, I know you will enjoy it. The storm footage was really something. Glad you all are ok.
Thank you so much! 😃
I love how you describe things so eloquently. I also loved how much you cared for the small living things clinging to life in the flood. God bless you child and keep you. You are most entertaining.
Wow, thank you so much!! I'm really glad you're enjoying my content!
You are a master of disguise! That hole-patch literally disappeared before our eyes. This piece is the result of another beautiful job of restoration. I love the map drawers and would love to have a similar unit in my studio. Thanks for another great video, Angie. 🥰
You're most welcome! Thank you so much for watching! 🙂
So glad you all are ok! That bench is going to be very useful. I like the new pulls much better. Well done!
Thank you very much! 🙂
I'm enjoying watching this work on a somewhat different piece of furniture. I really liked the old handles but I'm sure they'll show up on some other piece you make in the future. And you chose what works for you which is just right! Also, appreciate the info on all the choices you made and why.
I always like natural wood instead of paint. And the top looks fine to me. Add a utilitarian feel.
Thanks so much for watching! 🙂
Oh! Forgot---filling the large whole in the drawer and matching the color was shocking!!! Amazing.
I love your work, you always do such a great job, but what I really love about this channel is your thoughtfulness and humanity. You are not only concerned with your viewership and content, but genuinely concerned with all life in general. You are a complete pleasure to watch and know (I hope that's not too sentimental). Keep up the great work! (Cindy Ratliff)
Thank you so much for your kind words Cindy! I really appreciate it!
That was awesome! I was looking for a new video today and there you are. Prayers for your safety! That light show was beautiful! Thank you for sharing with us.
You are so welcome!
That is going to be worth its weight in gold, so the yellow works. 😀 Your storm footage was beautiful, the result of so much rain at once though is tragic. I’m glad that you all faired well and I hope that your neighbors will be able to get their properties dried out quickly.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comment Much appreciated!
Angie, The video footage of the storm was stunning. Our little province was hit so hard; the storm was relentless. I've never experienced thunder and lightning like this before. The devastation is quite unbelievable and the loss of life is heartbreaking. I enjoy all your restoration videos.
I've never heard thunder like that before either. I've been chasing storms since I was young but this storm wasn't anything like any I've ever experienced. The utter damage and loss of life is heartbreaking.
Fantastic Angie, so sorry you and your community experienced flooding. Mother Nature has to be true to herself unfortunately. The cabinet is perfect for your workroom, keep being your authentic self ❤
Thank you so much! Mother Nature definitely has something to say right now.
Hi Angie! I’m a new subscriber and I’ve been binge watching all your videos - loving it! I fell in love with the song you used to use for your reveals two years ago. Would you mind sharing the name of the song and artist? I tried Shazam to find it with no luck. I’d love to have it on my library! 🙏🏻
I purchase licenses to use all the music you hear in the videos from PremiumBeat and Epidemic Sound. Most are 2-3 minutes long; my apologies, but I’m not sure of all the songs names!
With the appearance of your furry coworker it made me think that you could say that this is "Nacho" typical project that you normally do. 😁 Love your videos and you totally get my furniture aesthetic.
🤣 Missed opportunity there! Thank you very much for watching!
I think it turned out perfectly well for its purpose; it's solid and functional and still an attractive piece of furniture. I'm very glad you and your family survived the worst of the storm, yet sad for those who did not fare so well. Living in California, I am no stranger to natural disasters (wildfires mainly), so I hope that your community and NS will recover asap. ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate that. ❤️
Glad your household is safe and dry. That “yellow” wood actually seems very utilitarian and authentic. Gray top matches your floor too. I think it looks good. Coasters, drawer pulls and black painted kickplate pull it all together. Very nice job!
Thank you so much! 😊
I love a good thunderstorm, but that was RIDICULOUS!!! 😳⛈️ I love the new workbench! Great job repurposing something that was still in good condition. 😁😁
Me too!! That was a bit much though! Combined with the torrential rain it was a terrifying time. Thanks for watching!
I'm pea green with envy! I'm an artist and press water color paper would store great in the "map" drawers. It is a beautiful piece I would love to stumble on.
Oh that definitely would have been a great use for this!
It's just heartbreaking to see so much damage flooding can do. It's the same in many parts of the UK. Mostly, Wales gets more floods, and it's heart reaching.
The bugs, as you say, holding onto dear life on those car tires, was very sad. Brings it home to how devastating these floods can be to all forms of life. Xx
It absolutely can. It chokes me up every time I see the picture of the insects on the tire. Thanks so much for watching!
I love that you are a "stickler". Every project turns out awesome.
Thank you very much! 🙂
I agree with the idea of utility furniture looking nice. It's just a quality of life thing, especially if you have to look at it everyday in regular use. We should be trying to add joy wherever we can.
Thank you so much for watching!
So we had a big storm today. So instead of a big walk with the dogs, I grabbed a drink and a fruit salad, opened you tube and boom Angie video. Wooohoo. I want to say..I love that the stains are still there. Not a huge fan of the top either..maybe it will get splattered with paint and look cool as the years go by. Great storm footage. Also..Nacho is stIll adorable. You should know I have never refurbished a piece of furniture and I an utterly fascinated and blown away by your talent weekly. I am very very happy the bunnies didn’t get flooded.
Thank you so much for watching!
That music over the lightning part was chilling (in a good way) felt like cinematography level stuff
What ever the craft we do, making something custom to fit our needs is always great.
Thank you so much for watching!
That storm was absolutely beautiful. The music was perfect.
Thank you so much!
Yikes!!!😱
That footage of the horrible weather made me yelp several times.
I am so sorry about the devastation up there - first from the fires and now the flooding.😢
How truly awful! I'm glad that you, Andrea & your furry crew are ok.
As for this personal project, I really enjoyed the way you made it work for your shop; great results! I laughed pretty hard at the end when you showed the gray blanket on the gray counter!😂
It gave me a good chuckle too! 🤣 Thanks so much for watching! 😁
Angie you are something else, the table is so great, You are picky and that is what makes all your makeovers so good, you care about it all and want to do the best you can. the overall effect of the table is workman like. Fitting I think. Your treatment of the hole was as good as some art restorers I watch . Glad you are all ok after the weather looking forward to the next vid.
Thank you very much! 😀
WOW that lightning was amazing!! Thank you for sharing that. And glad you and the bunnies were safe.
You're very welcome!
Spectacular storm footage!
Thank you very much!
Angie - don't knock yourself so much! To take a cabinet ready for the trash and make it into your new work table - win win! The 'colors' and clashes whatall will fade with the serviceability of the new cabinet. What you didn't address in the video - is why you decided your 'old' cabinet wasn't up to the task any longer..... other than perhaps veneer storage. As always - l love your videos and the 'story telling' element you bring. The storms across NS echo the storms and floods in New England - where I am currently. Mother Nature will not be ignored! Climate change is real and the 'new normal' is there is NO normal anymore. We have to roll with it and look out for oneanother. SO glad the bunnies were safe!!
Yes- to clarify, I needed something a bit larger than what I already had, because all the items I was storing in that other dresser had to go… because the dresser has to finally go. Lol so was trying to combine two storage units into one, basically. And the map drawers just make the veneer storage so much easier. :-) Thank you Laurie :-)
I love this video. I think you did very well in your choices. Don't sweat the small stuff... And, that was some crazy weather. You take care😐
Thank you so much!
Glad you and family are safe. That lighting footage was wild!
I can appreciate that you want to choose your battles! I think most of us need to learn to choose our battles better.
Thank you kindly!
My mom got part of that same weather system in New Hampshire. It washed out the road between her house and my aunt's. Fortunately, the town had the road passable by the next morning, because there was no other egress for my aunt, who is medically fragile. I was so grateful for their quick response!
😳 I'm glad they didn't mess around and fixed the road ASAP. What a terrifying time for everyone involved!
That was some storm Angie. I’m glad you escaped the worst of it. I admit, I’m not very fussed on yellow wood too. However, I think you have made the best of it for the purpose you intend. I don’t think I’d ever fault your judgement, you have a real gift for transforming furniture. Stay safe xxxx
Many thanks!
I'm glad you're safe from the flooding! I lost an entire house to a once-in-a-lifetime flood, so that always affects me a lot. I think the yellow-toned wood with the cooler laminate top makes me think so much of chemistry class in high school, where all our lab benches were yellow wood with cool, laminate tops. You just need a bunsen burner there!
That absolutely would affect you! I'm so sorry you went through that - I cannot imagine it. Thank you so much for watching!
Always nice to be able to organize your stuff better. Love the storms. That’s something I will always miss from when we lived in Idaho.
I love storms too - this one was a bit different from most though and the damage it did was unfathomable. The loss of life is heart breaking. Thanks very much for watching!
I really enjoyed the storm footage, you did a great job of capturing and editing it. I'm so glad you and your sweet family are safe. All the best to those who were not as fortunate.
Thank you so much for your kind words!
When my hubby walked into the library and told me that poor Nova Scotia has flooding now, I immediately thought of you. I am glad you and yours are safe and sound, with minimum flooding. I think I might have had the urge to paint the cabinet to hide the yellow tint, but once you explained what its job will be, it made sense to have it maintainable. It looks nice - even with the yellow wood and grey top! Love the map drawers too...
Thank you so much for watching and your kind words! I really appreciate it!
I like the yellow and gray very nice work bench
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
So cool! My favorite part is the hardware. Looks so good.
Also, I'll be holding Nova Scotia in my heart. Mother nature is so powerful.
She sure is! And it seems like she's very upset about something. Thanks for watching!
Nice job customizing this cabinet to meet your needs. I agree that the gray top is less than optimal, but it still looks okay. I'm glad you, Andrea, and the cats/buns got through the storm okay. That lightning put on quite a show! 🌩
It sure did! What a storm! Thank you so much for watching! 😀
So happy that your family and home weathered the storms well. I think your work cabinet is just perfect. You can always give it a quick face lift in the future if you get fed up looking at the grey and yellow color combo. Personally, I am jealous of all that gorgeous veneer you've collected. Great work! Great video!
Thank you so much!
Nacho's like my kitties - watching nature's display like Kitty TV. :D
I never thought of turning a piece of salvage furniture into a worktable, that looks amazing! I'd totally do that (my wife might look at me funny but, I'll take it!)
Thank you so much!
As a teacher I remember these types of cabinets. In the days before projectors and PowerPoint, One had paper maps and they would be attached to boards. Usually there were two boards which would lift above. And the yellow color was the normal. Was not sold on the top and I suspect in time you'll return to replace. But I am happy to see this type of school cabinet found a new use. Congrats!
Thank you so much!
Those drawers give me nostalgia for my junior school art room in the 1970s. I can smell crayon and paint and plasticine when I look at them. Joyous!
Your brown marks might be silver nitrate.
Thank you very much!
I think it turned out great. I think it was meant to be how it ended. It’s the star of your workshop. You can always change the look of it in the future. Thanks for sharing your work and the weather in Nova Scotia, prayers to everyone effected.🙏⭐️
You're very welcome. Thank you so much for the support and kind words. ❤️
Interesting piece! That cabinet lived it's whole life as a hardworking partner with whomever was employed in the lab, or whatever it was. And it continues doing so, with it's work ethic/patina intact. It will give you many more years.
If you cut across a laminate top, sometimes it works better to flip it upside down and cut it. The blade effectively cuts "down" instead of "up" and generally ends up reducing the chipping. But, what the heck, this cabinet is a working tool and not a typical Angie showpiece. Nonetheless, great work, nice result 👍😁🎯
Thanks for watching!
What a find! Every artist, craftsperson, etc. hopes to find something like that for their studio/workshop. And the result is beautiful.
Thank you kindly!
My trade was within a drawing office, I was an architectural technician, these plan chests were everywhere, thanks for bringing back good memories. Your comments re the little bugs and creatures made me realise that you are part of "the race that knows Joseph" if your not sure what that means check out the Anne of Green Gables books (Annes House of Dreams) - preferred the original handles though..ha ha..
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful job gurl!!!! And thank you for showing us the rough weather. I am a storm spotter for my area, and as a lightning and thunder lover, I was in awe at how beautiful that storm was!!! ON the flip side, I do hope all were able to recover from any damage they had. And that shot of the bugs hanging onto the tire? I despise the majority of bugs, and even I felt for those buggars! Poor things. Thank you for showing that.
GOD bless, and thank you for another wonderful piece!!!!
You're so welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! 😊
The fact that you recused it and turned it into something workable for you is wonderful. I agree that the yellow tone does nothing for me either, I would have stained it darker. Simply because I would have to look at it all the time. But now that you have a larger work table with better storage is a huge plus.
Thank you so much for the feedback! Much appreciated! 😃
that storm footage was glorious. incredibly messed up that flooding has impacted so many, and it's always terrifying when major roads are underwater impeding any potential emergency response vehicles, but i will always be a sucker for a good bit of lightning, and it sounds like you got a lot more than a fair bit.
Oh I enjoy it too! This storm wasn't like any we're used to, so much rain! Thank you so much for watching! 🙂
A lovely piece with a good story. You will enjoy it, I am sure. So sorry you are going through these extreme weather conditions. Hope it will all pass soon. Take care and thank you for still putting out the video's.❤
You're so welcome! Thank YOU for watching! I'm so glad you like how it turned out.
I've always wanted a map cabinet and an apothecary's cabinet. They're just so neat and organized! But for you, this is actually practical. Thanks for letting me watch and pretend it's mine. I think that's all I really needed. And we'll get to see you use it from now on, right? Perfect.
I've wanted one for a long time so I jumped at this one. Thank you so much for watching and anytime you need to pretend it's yours - feel free. 🙂
Glad to hear you made it through with little damage. I've never, in my life, lived through so much thunder and lightning!
Your Sackville friend♥
Did you make it through ok?? That was the craziest storm I can remember! Thanks so much for watching!
Love what you did with the new/old work bench. I admire the way you face and deal with life's challenges head on.
Thank you! 🙂
Awesome job turning a "functional" piece into a "beautiful" piece!! Well done! 👍🌞 BTW, I believe that was an old drafting table/cabinet. The top would have had a nice smooth finish for drawing blueprints, and the large sheets of blueprints would lay flat in those long skinny drawers. 👍
Thank you so much 😀
I’m jealous. Always wanted a map cabinet to hold my watercolour paper. After seeing all the work Angie did, I know those sheets of watercolour board will remain under a bed in the spare room for some time yet - or likely forever. Enjoy your new work surface. Angie, that’s the perfect sound track to accompany the thunderstorm. It was just over 12 hours of almost continuous growling and crashing. Thanks for the video, Angie. Best wishes.
It was a crazy storm! I hope you made out ok during and after?
@@TranscendFurnitureGallery : Thanks. We were pretty much the same as you. A little dampness in the unfinished portion of the basement. But my pots of garlic all rotted away. Hope everyone one is well there.
