Today I'm working on a vintage and rare toy, USAF GEMINI X-5 space ship, made in Japan in 1960's by Masudaya Toys Co. I bought it on Ebay for 30 $. The seller told me that he didn't know if it worked but by disassembling it, I had the bad surprise to discover it had already been modified before. The engine was missing and the bulbs no longer worked. It took me a month to restore but it was wort...

Asombroso trabajo Artesano!!!. Saludos desde Uruguay.
AMAZING!
Oh Gods! I am in awe of the level of craftsmanship and the toy itself, as a product of so many technological operations. I'm a member of Generation Z, and the entirety of my childhood plastic toys (even including the computer and game consoles) do not contain as much high-quality metal as this item. And all these mechanisms and designs were designed and put into mass production in a country that 15 years ago was ruins without significant deposits of metals and energy. Surely in its time this toy was a gift worth as much as an “incredible” $1.7. But now it is an invaluable asset of human history.
WOW
I´m mesmerized. Thank you.
If i may suggest you a next restoration project, you could try to find some old, 1950s-60s pinball machines! This could become a 3-part series, for example
Woah, the cup from Morocco fit the lamp perfectly, with those ridges. Awesome result in the end! Amazing job, man, as always!
Well done. Good job. Show!
The idea to use the candle holder couldn’t have worked out better.
I really like the diffuser! This is a great restoration.
Cool
Patrząc na to co się dzieje w growym griajdołku, mam wrażenie ze niedługo cała branża zaczyna się pogrążać w kryzysie.

This old, metal toy have a soul✨💫🌠🚀
Really wish you had spent a bit more time fixing up the body after sandblasting it. Otherwise a very good video
Pretty clever and novel use of one of those vandal proof switches disguised as a rivet, will have to remember that!
What kind of design is that?! Looks like a plasma granade straight from Fallout.
Always enjoy your videos. Thanks!
Another wonderful job! Thanks for sharing your work❤
Yet another bang up, top job dude 👏👏👏. Thanks loads 🙏. 😎
Finally managed to finish watching this vid. Absolutely fanTAStic!!! Thank you for sharing the time and effort with us Mr. OTND 🙏🙏🙏. Muchly appreciated. 😎
That's a masterful restoration!
So beautiful, going to try to find one!
PolyWatch for the plastic?
Я в шоке!?
That turned out very nice. I really appreciate how you repaired the wood pieces with the synthetic compound. The red powder coat looks great with the walnut stain. Just very nice result. Quite a nice-looking ham too! 😋 I always enjoy your videos.
was basically used for camping or outdoor use very little is said about it my guess used inside a tent or fishing... maybe a type of railroad lantern.
Beautiful restoration
Au final les 6 réflecteurs ne sont pas très efficaces malgré une chouette restauration !
Hmmm. Not sure I’d use the compound slide hand wheel on my lathe as an anvil…
Just Awesome….👌👌👌
09:10 PLEASE tell me what you used to clean those images up!
Respekt to your fantastic work on this wonderfull Toy. 😍But my heart was bleeding seeing you take away the patina. 🙄
What a creative use of Canva and Cricut!
The cleaning of that beast 🙄
Am I the only one that noticed the red, yellow and green lights kept switching places 😮
This one was quite cool
Nice job thumbs up! I thought you’d work on the panel to make it flatter. But the result looks great
Damn, that must have taken you all morning !
Some LEDs will break when powered on reverse polarity, and so the only thing I would recommend you add, is a diode in series with the lamp. Other than that, very well done. I especially liked your solution for replacing the red lens 😀
Why springs? Just for style? No, I think.
Perhaps send a picture of it to a Port or Train Station and ask if it is recognisable.
Red Light to protect night-sight?
l'hexacata is that mexican?
U have pretty hands
What an amazing restoration. Well done. My eye couldn't miss the order of the colored windows being out of order. Went from green, red, amber at 1:26 to green, amber, red at 1:30 (which by the way I think it should've been from the manufacturer) but certainly, a very enjoyable video. Thank you
Done subcribe 👍🏻
Fascinating vintage toy with anti-fall mechanism! 😻😻😻🤯🤯🤯 The sound it makes: *“Akk Akk Akk Akk Akk Akk Akk....”* 😭😭😭💀💀💀
