Tol Boul was produced by Tôlerie de Boulogne in the 1930s.
Old lottery game that was used in cafes / bars.
Made in France in the 1930s
The large ball had to be turned to mix the colored balls.
When a franc is inserted into the slot and the lever is actuated, a colored ball appears in the oval slot at the bottom of the device.
Each color corresponded to a winning price offered by the owner of the cafe. - Zábava

I’d only be interested if you swapped out the red and white balls for blue 😲🍻
I just have to ask how they feel before you start cause some parts just look like they'd feel incredibly disgusting lol.

8:05 that drop of oil falling down the spring was worth several replays 😎😎 who else ? 😃 BTW Great Restoration as usual 👍 and an amazing piece of history !
I had to go get a tissue.
I had to change my underwear.
Truth. I want to share that oil drop with the world.
Loved that part. The drop of oil going down the Spring was so totally Awesome. Just many moons ago the 60's an 70's Generation would have been Totally blown away
@@Adam_Lynn Same. I had to get a tissue for the amount of tears I've shed watching this masterpiece
I think the "wrong blue" was a happy accident, the contrast with the gold is stunning! Awesome job as always, thanks for sharing 👍
Agreed, this came out great! Also….great use of the Late and Great Bob Ross’s quote! 😃
ETA: how many more times can I possibly use the word “great”…lol!
Bob Ross comment! Earned a like
@@5150_Designs DEFINITELY 😆
I had the same thought. Was going to comment & saw that you did it for me. What a pal!
@@504CreoleCrystal What Bob Ross quote? Couldn't find it.
The shot of the drop of lubricant rolling down the spring was brilliant. Nice job. (Starting at 8:05)
You stole someone else's comment but it's ok 😀🤗
Thank you for adding a timestamp, not all heroes wear capes
@@jcclark7788 Did I? I didn't see it
It's a shame that such games disappeared from cafes/bars. Another amazing restoration and amazing video! :)
Sadly the gambling laws have extended to this activity as well. A few years ago the french government even shot down an old lady's home lottery that she did for her neighbours and even confiscated all her earnings.
@@ryouskun4754 Government sucks
@@ryouskun4754 yeesh I get wanting to end gambling since addiction and all but way to take all her earnings… unless she was stealing..

What’s ironic is by then the titanic would have completely evaporated

I’m always fascinated that you can ‘make’ matching screws and feet, etc. Amazing work. Thanks for sharing!! Keep up the good work.😊
What a cool piece! "10 year loan"for the paint🤣 awesome work as always 👏
So I just googled the product and it’s only 20 bucks I guess he was scammed or something 😂
@@FlorianLatapie he be trollin
@@FlorianLatapie We've been bamboozled!
@@FlorianLatapie maybe you found a fake idk
Nah he's clearly joking
The ball saying "finally free" gave me a giggle. I enjoyed watching this one!
This is the most awesome thing I ever seen 😊 I think I will spend all the money trying to catch the bonus 🤣 great video mate
And no way to cheat, you have to pay 😆. Thank you David 🍻😉
I just love seeing all the work you put into these. That you can still see the beauty in what other people might just toss as junk. Makes me very happy.
Excellent restoration! The filming process makes me think of "How It's Made" or "Comment c'est fait" which has been produced in Québec, Canada since 2001!
I love the fact that you just made your own screws instead of buying them. That’s a real girlboss moment right there!
I gotta say you are the first restoration channel I’ve seen that makes the perfect restoration content. I notice with other restoration channels they don’t put in as much work making things look as great as you do!
You should check out My Mechanics, too. That guy's videos are on point.
@@Jetmech1781 and also “cool again restoration”! Both are amazing at what they do!
You need to put a padlock on that door, if you don't want to have sneaky bar patrons reclaiming their francs. 😄
Brilliant restauration! Kind of wish this sort of entertainment still existed in modern bars.
I really don't know why the making of the screws impressed me the most! Good job!
Idk if anyone got that part at 2:40 lol. It's Rose dropping her necklace into the ocean from Titanic. Lmao.
I had to replay it a few times because I was wondering what that sound was. Hahaha pretty funny
After 195 comments... finally someone found the reference, congratulations 😆🚢❄
@@OldThingsNeverDie- hahaha yayy what do I win. Lmfao. I'm cool with a beer 🍺 hahha.
That was so funny too, idk how no one else caught it.
It's heartwarming to see these old objects which probably hold lots of good memories getting brought back to "life"
That was fun. The drop down the spring was genius. Greetings from Munich / Germany
5 francs for a beer...you must be in Paris! Great job as always. But seriously a 10 year loan for the wax that's dedication above and beyond.
pretty sure that was sarcasm. that exact pot of wax from their french website is under 20 euro. though is about 613 euro for a liter. as an american, these measurements are.....something else.
I appreciate the dedication but next time just use spray paint an lie to us! Don’t go into debt for it.
@@bittervagrant That would be the American way. The French are proud of their artisan heritage and want to keep it as original as possible. Americans just lie and fake it, as always.
je peux passé des heures à regarder vos vidéos. Elle sont apaisante et redécouvrir les jeux ou outils de nos grands-parents. Votre travail est exceptionnel
Beautiful as ever. You're an excellent craftsman, love the content!
Love all these great finds you have to work on! Your half asmr quiet videos are the BEST 🙌🏽👏👏👏👏
Watching that droplet slide its way down the spring was incredibly satisfying!
This machine looks amazing, another job well done! My question is that did the gilded wax actually cost 5000$ because it's made of pure gold, or is that a joke? Either way, it looks amazing, once again! Thank you for the content!
no its only like 50$
I looked it up and it SEEMS relatively cheap even if you go with that specific French version of the brand??? I’m confused as to why there was no “haha just kidding it cost 20 bucks”
@@monster-teeth5378 Yeah, I was wondering about that the whole time. I guess he thought we'd know he wasn't that crazy.
Yes, normally it cost $8,000 in your opinion it would be good for her to lie.
I do believe he was making a joke or just being sarcastic lol especially the 10 year loan part
Mec tu fais un boulot incroyable. Moi qui suis passionné de brocante et de vieux objets , ça fait vraiment plaisir de voir un tel travail 🎉
Hey mate, hi from Australia, I remember watching you're first video and now watching this one, you've come such a long way with your restorations and editing skills, well done.
One thing with the bead ball though, instead of breaking out the stick welder you could have silver soldered it, would have kept a nicer finish around the connection areas, just a thought but well done none the less, keep up the good work👍☺️
Dude…that droplet. Oscar worthy….🙏🏼🤘🏼🖤🤙🏼
Out of all of the restoration channels on You Tube I think yours is the best, because the items you restore are fun and unique, and not just knives, guns, or old model cars like so many other channels. A real joy to watch!
These are absolutely heaven
Looks great and the oil rolling down the spring was Marvelous !!
My heart stopped when you opened the gilding wax... that stuff is gorgeous! Worth EVERY penny!
Awesome restoration as usual! Just one thing: I'm not sure if you're using a special lens to film wielding or not, because filming it directly will damage a dslr camera's sensor
I film with 4-5 meters distance during welding, and zoom on the scene. I hope it's enough...
@@OldThingsNeverDie- Not enough
Seu trabalho é perfeito e, é a filmagem que faz com que o vídeo torne_ser leve e atrativo. Continue assim. Excelente trabalho.
Amazing work, dude! Really stunning looking piece! Beautiful! 😃
But who built it should've thought about a easier way to return the little balls. 😬
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Where on earth are you getting these old beautiful machines ! They are fantastic...and you are doing them a great justice by restoring them!! Nice work!!!
A spectacular job of restoring every single piece in this massive project. What is even more impressive to me though, is the masterpiece of video editing done to make this process look so smooth and seamless.
You find the most awesome things to restore! Great job 👍
That was epic 👍 great job. Lots of work involved but it looks fantastic.
Amazing job restoring the old lottery game to working order, and it looks much better, too. Great work.
That was great! Such a joy to watch a true artist at work.
So great watching the transformation. You really take restoration to the next level! (And, wow, that gold paint is expensive!) My one request would be more on-screen explanations about what you're doing. There were many steps when I didn't understand what was taking place.
Pretty sure he was joking about the price of that paint 😂
Good job, Bro. in this restoration video, I'm seeing a lot of new things. And it's so nice to see every detail 🍻🍻🍻🤩❤️
I love your beautiful work. To me coffee is love, coffee is life. Cheers. ☕

You make awesome content! D’un petit Belge.
Thank you for your opinion. I will be glad if you rate my work on my channel. By the way, in one of the videos we made a golden bracelet out of a piece of cheese.
You are extremely skilled and it's a pleasure to watch your work but too often I feel your restorations lose all their character, but then I'm an antique dealer
I think i found the best channel and solution for my anxiety
Cool to see the name brand products that you use in your country that are comparative to the name brands that are used in other countries.
lovely restoration. how do the beads get back into the ball, once theyve come out?
Excellent question!
The same way he put the beads in after cleaning them...remove the ball and use a funnel. Look at 14:44
@@anthonyross6051 So... every time a bead comes out, the barkeep has to unscrew the wheel/shaft on the right, remove wheel/shaft, pop the ball out, drop in the bead that came out? That's kinda... awkward & a little time consuming. Should be a way to easily pop beads back in without having to unscrew anything.
@@splehcar no, the wood tray he made that sits at the bottom holds all the coins/beads put in the machine, he only has to take the ball off once all the beads are gone.
Awesome job. It seems the colors just fell into place beautifully. I like to think there maybe someone who shows this to a great grandparent or grand parent will have them reminiscing of the good old lottery games they used to play, triggering good times
These classic bar games are quite cool !!
Great job! Beer is the right coffee! Thank you, you made my friday evening ;))))))

Awesome! I like drinking coffee. Love this video. The best part is that the giy compare with the original version.
Fantastic job. Excellent cinematography. The only thing I would have done differently is to make a metal drawer instead of wood.
I like it when you fix those old toys!
