I believe the butler and the teacher are just supervisors for the Pretender's development. The butler's trousers are not exactly the same as those in the painting and even the tail of the jacket cannot be seen, while is more plausible that the man in the painting is the hanged man. Maybe the Pretender was a human child, but with the care of the supervisors she is starting to become "something else". Perhaps the hanged man did not fulfill his duty, or refused to do so at a certain point, being replaced by the butler. In the Nest it is plausible that future candidates will be selected to hold important positions such as the Lady, or even to become "food" for the Lady herself.

7:11 Another person I was reminded of when you said lollipops was that little plump boy that bashed one of the bullies' heads in with a lollipop in the Little Nightmares 2 comics. I heard some theory that he probably grew up to be a deleted character from that game called the Barber because of how similar they look. I believe that when six gets the power off taking life from other life form it’s is the same power the mistress / lady has in the maw . So that means that six will eventually become the lady / mistress and after the mistress she will be on the granny , and to further back this theory , in little nightmares 2 when we see six for the first time in the attic room is like she knows the futures because the ways she carved does days and racing in the back wall . And next in the final boss fight of little nightmares 2 when we have to destroy six’s music box , in the back wall there are 3 photos one of six or like a girl , the second one having a lady in a white dress with her face scratched off which looks like the lady from little nightmares 1 and the third picture has and old lady which looks like the granny. And to further prove that six can predict the future is in the same room of the pictures on the left most side we see a suitcase . That same suitcase is the same suitcase six wake ups from in the beginning of little nightmares 1.

Theory:the raincoat girl is the flash light girl because at the ending of very little nightmares raincoat girl and the pretender drop in the ocean and the raincoat girl can swim but the pretender drowned so she swim through the maw and that's why she looks wet so she is the flashlight girl.
