Actually if you look at the concept art of Little Nightmares 1 you would know that the shadow kids are actually kids that were turned into evil shadows by dark magic by the Lady to guard her library. Also the Nomes were kids made to keep the ferniest running by the spell the Lady put on it. The concept art of the Little Nightmares series actually explains a lot of things going on in the the in -game world.
Fun fact: Did you know the Veronica song Origin from the song from 1951 called "Down the valley where green grass grows". The song is about ⏃ wedding.

I really liked the new video. I've always whondered, where the shadow-kids are from...
I have now played through the whole Little Nightmares Franchise, which really has a lot of hidden details and it really made me think a lot about it. Many of the things I saw in game were figuratively/indirectly similar to many things my father told once told me about this world and our society.
I have made up a HUGE Theory myself, but it would be way too long for this comment.

I have a mini theory :
the Lady and the Thin Man try to help children the best they can.
The Lady turns kids into Nomes. Nomes are not attacked by the monsters, they basically ignore them. On the Maw, you are clearly better being a Nomes, than a child.
The Thin Man (from the little we have seen) separates the body from the soul. Being a gosht/glitch, protect them from...well everything: hunger, cold, and death.
But I think it's too early to say anything about the glitching remains (we still don't know for sure what or who they are, they could be past Mono's iteration) and we need more proof. We did not spend much time with the Thin Man. We never saw him before we open the door. We don't know if he can go out.
(yes, I know, there is the comic, but we only see him once and don't have much context, that not enough. And the monster in the 6 comic is clearly not the Thin Man: not the same stand or shape, not the same behavior, far too aggressive, no static noise, no hat)
BUT.. when u are in the elevator with the janitor, he hears some nomes and he chases them
You can see Thin Man at the End of DLC when he appears at the maw in TV screen.
Hey Timimations and Lolo! In a sense, you’re both right! I wouldn’t say being a Nome is safe, but I agree that it is in a way safer. I personally wouldn’t say The Lady is helping the kids, but I do agree with Thin Man. I think The Lady is 100% an antagonist and doesn’t have any good meaning. Any how, we’re all entitled to our own opinions! Loved reading both of your comments! 🤍☕️
So I don't think Thin Man has also good intentions I think his task is to find new host for the Tower when he dies so Tower will do not die or Tower transforms kids into adults way faster than normaly so later they can got some sort of job.

IF THAT HAPPENS WITH THE LADY FIST AND THE THIN MAN LATER, THE GLICHING REMAIN WOULD STILL LOOK LIKE A KID? OR LIKE A NOME?
I believe that the Shadow kids are the souls of the Runaway Kid from the previous loops, that try to protect him from his death. And also, I don't believe that the Shadow Kids and Shadow Six are 100% the same. Nice video and theory, I really like them!👍
Shadow Six is not Six's soul. She like the other Glitched Remains is made out of the Signal. Shadow Six is very clearly implied to be evil in some way, standing over Six menacingly whenever she gets hungry. On top of this if Six was soulless in LN 1 she would not hug the Nombs or purposefully try to avoid becoming a cannibal.
2:56 also there is a room in VLN that has six nomes looking to six children picture
and the bed room that u collect the 7 nomes when they run into a hole u see 7 children with 1 big lady

I feel like there is a connexion between gnomes and the bullies.
when a bully is being punish, they are forced to put on a pointy hat (don't remember how it is called) just like the gnomes. Are some of the gnomes past bullies?
I'd like to see the bullies theory not gonna lie-
I think, Nomes are bodies of the kids, who became Nomes. My theory: When Lady turns kids to Nomes, their soul leave bodies and become shadow kids, and their bodies become Nomes.

Fun fact: I haven't played any of the games cuz my PC is preety crappy and I'm pretty sure it can't handle the graphics. I've played very little nightmares though. That's why I comment a lot of it. I watch the other games like movies

In an interview a dev said that "The Pale City exists because a need for escapism exists", so The Signal Tower wasn't built, it just exists
