Here's my theory: As mentioned from other videos, the tower needed a host to survive. When six became monster six, she was the new host for the tower, setting thin man free (because he was towers host before her). After Mono saved her and she turned back to normal, Six was no longer the tower's host, causing the tower to collapse. To keep the tower satisfied or some other reason (idk), she decided to sacrifice Mono, becoming the new host. But she didn't drop him right away. Maybe she was hesitant, and that why she didn't drop him immediately.
Six also enjoyed herself with burning doctor 🤣
PLEASE READ i love your theories and go with most of them except this one, i think the shadow six is ment to represent her bad hunger. six has two hungers 1 , normal hunger which can last much longer , and a second hunger that in order to fufill she must eat raw living beating meat. in the secret ending we she six touch her stomach with hunger mere seconds after dropping mono, i believe she dropped mono because she didnt want to have to eat him. but mono didnt know that he thought he saved someone just to betray him so he turns into the thin man. the thin mans mission is to kidnap six and save his past self from making the same mistake , thus creating a time loop that holds the entire game of little nightmares together please reply and let me know what you think.

My theory is that after mono destroyed six's music box, and she turned back to normal, she looked strangely at mono because he had no bag on his head. I believe that she saw something in mono that shocked her. But she had no time to say or do anything. They both started running and six made the jump. She grasped mono's hand and looked at him directly in his face. My theory is that she saw a relation that mono is actually the thin man, and that he could become a potential threat. That's just what I think, but we still have to wait for a canon answer!
An other theory
Six did not betray Mono. I think she was influenced or something like that, by The Eyes to drop Mono.
Here why : Mono was struggling, then he takes a look down to the Eyes, then stops struggling, as if he understands what was going on with Six.
As for Thin Man, he just loosed his mind after decades of total isolation. He just a '' drone '', mindlessly doing whatever the Eyes orders.
If you isolate someone in an empty room long enough, they become very emotionally fragile and become far more receptive to manipulation, mental pressure, suggestions, and hypnotization. More than 48H is egought to make you temporaly nut, but Mono had been isolated for years, so the damage are bigger and permamment at this point)
Mono is not only already a sensitive individual, but he just lost his best friend, and had been isolated for the rest of his life.
So, maybe it was the same for Six. Who knows for how long she was really trapped in Signal Tower.
I think it’s because she has survivors guilt, and thought mono would betray six like raincoat girl
edit: yo, incase you don’t know what survivors guilt is, it’s basically PTSD, but you get sad over the things you did and didn’t in situations depending on your life, and raincoat girl eventually regrets her during the prequel first game, she “knows” that everybody would betray her.
no matter how we see six from the game. and no matter how we hate her for betraying mono, i still see six as a victim. we still don't know what that shadow was and all we have are theories that she can either be a mastermind or a victim of the thin man. i see the other option, those glitches, shadow or whatever you prefer. what i mean is there could be more then meets the eye. perhaps those are their souls? innocence? emotions? we all saw shadow six waiting for her to come out the TV. maybe six never came out the tower. maybe six was never captured in the first place. what if the eye's plan was to trick mono into thinking six was captured? a trick that would lead him into the tower to come and 'save her'.
we all are thinking of it as a loop but..what if that was just the Very beginning of the loop the eye has planned for mono? and the thin man wasn't even mono but a figure of some sort of what he will be (we all know about the game likes molding the characters..make the janitor an example. he looks like he was molded by someone and i doubt its just the doctor, the doctor is controlled too or else he would of been the real mastermind) so..those shadows are not just shadows but the real kids or at least a huge part of them. so the six mono knew was left behind. no she was never captured. she was transferred into another dimension (in the tower there's a lot of portal doors and we completely ignored the part where it can be portal to another dimension door instead of another room) the six mono saved was only whats left of her.
a mind and a body and lets not mention that part of her (filling those lost soul part of her) could be something for the tower to use to control her. to make it look like six doesn't care about mono. filling him with rage and the will for revenge which is what the tower wants. now that the tower doesn't find six useful to mono anymore it gave her a task. with of course a power as well. maybe a replacement for the lady since shes getting old? the lady's youth wont last forever. we can see that in the DLC shes getting frustrated and for the eye. this could ruin its attention to mono ( who the eye needs to control )
now the question about 'then why did shadow six looked at the maw poster?' i don't have an answer to this before..but i think i do now. after finding a theory about why six ait RK (which is to absorb the information from the boy because he saw the lady's weakness which is why the lady decided to eliminate him so he couldn't talk) now that i think about it..what would happen if six ait the lady? aside from getting her powers?
now..we all saw six eating souls but what if part of her soul was there? what if shadow six knows bout the eyes plan for her? she could've thought of the maw for the power to get her body back.(i mean come on- give six some credit here. shes smart and she can travel now so she could of checked out what the eye was planning for her) six's power eats souls but if part of her soul was there watching somewhere then she could get the missing part of her back without even knowing its missing and get it back accidentally while absorbing the guest souls.
now another question. 'what about the other glitches that touches mono?' well for once. mono doesn't have the lady's power. let us not mention those kids body are presumed dead..there's nothing for them to come back to. they're just lost souls wondering around, unlike six. her body is still alive which is why shadow six is following it. whenever six eats the shadow would be there as if like checking on how far she gone to.
'then how can mono absorb those souls?' well i don't think he absorbs it.. more like freeing them?(glitch remains could means that when their body died they couldn't move anymore so they stay there until someone free's them) mono has the power to teleport from tv to another tv and possibly another dimension so he could free them from that dimension.also did ya'll notice how six doesn't react to those shadows? it can possibly mean mono is the only one who can see those which also means he can have access to both dimensions.
'then how can six see her shadow?' i honestly don't think she can. she could of just saw the poster but there's no indication that six did saw shadow six. no reaction or some sort. not even when she appears while six was eating something, so no. six cannot see her soul too. which is why i said accidentally suck her soul back without her knowing its missing.
in the upcoming game i do think they will be back. and i do think six would be going for revenge on the eye for manipulating and using her to get its way like shes some toy to mess with. not to mention making her betray her only friend after RG. the third game could be six traveling in that dimension to get Shadow mono..yes i think mono has his own shadow. (its the eye- come on, it could of taken his own to manipulate him.)

Hey, I have a little theory: Let's say that six could've merge with shadow six, but she didn't think of that. This could mean that because mono could've merge with the other glitches, it means that all of the glitches are actually parts of Mono's soul. The glitches could be every time Mono has died, or at least a mono from the loop
I tend to agree with the theory that because mono pulled six out of a safe space (twice, including the hunters home) six feels betrayed and, after all the trauma of the game, decides enough is enough and drops mono, (I first heard this theory in this Gaming Beaver video: czcams.com/video/WaMf_7xTS04/video.html at 13:36). This seems to have been somewhat confirmed by the developers…saying both that “Six's perspective of this will be different to Mono's, and different again to the player's” and "Extracting someone from a fantasy can be deeply upsetting for everyone involved".
What if Six’s soulless body remembers Mono being too scared to save her from thin man.

I think she was under the influence of the signal tower
I know this may seem a bit silly, but my theory that the reason Six left alone Mono is that she may have remembered a bit of the previous loop and knew that if she had gone with Mono to The Maw she could have killed him because she would not have been in control of her hungry curse.
at the beginning of the game we are shown Mono running to the exit of the Tower which results in him falling out of the TV and into the forest, which ties in with the end of the game where Mono is already in the Tower the loop closes.
in turn, at the beginning of the first part of the LN we can see the following cutscene
my theory is that Six may have some kind of prophetic dreams "little nightmares", which alludes to the title of the game series and the fact that Six appears in each of them and also in the comics.
these prophetic dreams "little nightmares" is the true Six power
Maybe Six saw Thin Man in Mono?
I have this feeling that when Thin man kidnapped Six and you'll see Shadow Six but I think you're right about the Shadow Six I think after Six was kidnapped Thin man took her soul out of her body and replaced it with evil and even after you save Six she still has the evil inside of her and Gotten revenge on Mono (but I don't think she's evil) because Mono broken her comfort was because when she was kidnapped by the Hunter she used the music box for comfort. In the maw when she eaten the lady I think because of revenge (again) and Shadow Six told her to do it and now the Shadow Six is now sasified (idk how to spell lol) and took over the maw..for again revenge
This is all I believe and that's my theory😅
I think, that it wasn't six, that rejected Mono on the end. It was who's another. That shadow ghost is a real Six.

Okay I believe Six dropped Mono because she was afraid to eat him after all he had done for her and she was trying to stop herself from eating him and ive heard mentions of LN2 being the prequel so I think in LN thats why Six traveled to Maw cause like you said at the end shadow Six wanted her at the maw but I dont know how to explain where she ended up at the start of the first part where we first see Six in the first LN and im about to go off track but LN DLC is what Seven was doing while Six was exploring the Maw herself and we can see that Seven was the one offering her the meat but instead got eaten but did Seven offer her the meat or did she see it and try to take it but her hunger (Shadow Six) Lose control? Im gonna go off track again lol I just like explaining my random thories
but the comics help explain Six’s troubles more than the games do since the games have no dialouge its hard to see how everything is talked to eachother but the way they say everything is used as a sound affect like take the shadow kids fir example in a recent video you went over the fact laughing is the language they use to communicate as if they were helping Seven so were the nomes part of the time loop and helped seven not only caused we hugged them and made them our friends but because the whole LN’s world is a time loop did the nomes know Seven was gonna turn into one but none seemed to be around when he was turned into one so im definitely wrong there but it was just a thought considering I know the time loop goes on and on considering its a loop lol

(i know i’m late here’s my theory) but what if SIX never dropped MONO? would she have changed him? would he have never became thin man? , i’m pretty sure she could’ve stopped him from TURNING into the THIN MAN so if SIX would’ve never dropped him i’m thinking there would never be a THIN MAN and remember it’s a time loop so!

Six was also saved by Mono from the hunter's house and when she got stuck after the collapse of the building in Little Nightmares 2... she was also saved from her hunger in little nightmares 1 by the guy who gave her bread and by the Runaway Kid who wanted to give her a sausage but he has been eaten instead... if she's still alive, it's largely because she was saved by people who most of the time died (or worse than that like Mono) because they helped her... she piled up the corpses of the people who saved her to survive...

Why would both the Raincoat Girl from Very Little Nightmares and Six have this strong attachment to the music box (remember the very first time Mono finds Six, in LN2) ? Besides, The Raincoat Girl got annihilated by the Pretender, at the end of VLN.

For me, Six dropped Mono cause she saw his face. She find out that he is The Thin Man. We can’t forgot that she is still a child and she don’t really know what’s good and what’s bad. She was scared. That’s my opinion. What do you think about that?
So if the shadow six is good then when six was in the TV and drops mono she don't have the soul and turned bad and she shadow 6 was probably sad in the secret ending when only 6 came out but not her friend oh also would it be to hard to believe that the um... the main bad girl from the first one could possibly be 6 I mean she eats the power from the lady and leaves,. Oh and at the end of the DLC for the first game or the regular ending a silhouette of a man is on one of a TV and it could be the thin man aka mono ok this is a long comment . Almost done ok so six could come back to the ship to regret what she did and says to long and evenchily terns in to the lady and trys to stop her self maby the people in the 2nd game weren't trying to kill mono but save cuz if six was locked up than it musted have ben for a reason. Enyway in the end one day the thin man will kill six for revenge or traps six in a TV hell look it just a theory but it could be true to be continued in little nightmares 3
six dropped mono because she saw evil in him when she got caught by the thin man she saw his face when she was running with mono and she caught him on the edge she saw his face because the bag was off his head and she knows the thin Man's face and she know that mono the thin man then she drops mono so she thinks she will stop him but no he survived and that caused a time loop I hope that helped you
