The hunter crafted the masks and Manniqins so the doctor could build the patient’s to take care of them
I feel like the Hunter,Teacher,and Doctor all have jobs to make people for the lady in the maw... You see that the people in pale city seems to commit "*sudoko" and then they become souls. The souls the go into the bodies of those school children (hence the black stuff that comes out when u smash them) and then get to be teached by The Teacher on how to become heartless monsters after that they go to the hospital where The Doctor make bodies for them ( the souls are the little darklings that u see from the maw that is why the patients cant move with light) and them the hunter makes skin for them and then get sent to the Maw where they will work (you can see the janitors face in the doctor level) so.... maybe The Janitor was one of these souls. most likely one of the bullies hence why he likes the Veronica song cus they played that at the school

I have a theory I'd like to hear: in one of the concept arts in LM 1 you can see the to chef we know and 9ne whos facing backwards who could this be? I've always wondered...
My theory is that the Hunter (I wish they called him the trapper, honestly, missed opportunity) is the only "sane" adult in little nightmares.
Why do I think this? Because the Hunter out of every single adult has attachments. Those attachments are sitting in the dining room to be alive-looking forever. The Hunter went insane when everyone turned into monsters, maybe even himself turned into one, and that's why he wears a mask. The traps outside are probably for warding off monsters from the city, and that is why he has zero electronics in the house, being the only fighter in his own right against the tower and being so far away from its influence.
It also explains why he didn't just kill Six. He was unsure about her and probably hadn't seen anyone alive for so long that he wanted to return to it when he had the time. So he captured her and locked her in the basement for the time being.
I have a few ideas
Idea one:he ventures into the city to look for prey.
Idea two:the mannequins escaped into the forest (which would be a nope in the visual department).
Idea three:he had the parts to fix his breaking taxidermy people.

in the little nightmare comics there are all children, the third has a kind of robe around him and has only 1 arm. I think this child is the hunter because if you look closely the hunter has a sewn on arm, THE RIGHT ARM THAT CHILD MISSED TOO!
Then you also have the 5th, I think this is the janitor because he is also blind but I'm not so sure about this... The lollipopchild started a kind of sewing shop because you can see it on the pictures on the wall. .. then you also have the third child, who digs a tunnel with a spoon to the hospital, in a secret way in the game in the hispital you see a glitching child, and the way she came out (out of the tunnel .) AND SPOONS!!! what I also think is that the tall man kidnapped all those children but they escaped and grew up because of it; as you can see shadow six is a glitching child. So all the glitching kids were taken by the tallman!!!!

I have a theory that the hunter escaped the signal tower's grasp and left the city to hide in the forest. He has a bag over his face to cover the deformities from the signal tower. I think he went to the doctor to try and fix him but it didn't work so he stole some parts from the doctor. I also think he wants to fix his family. They were deeper into the signal tower and didn't come with him. He experimented and created them, or he could've made them because of loneliness and to remember the past he had with them. In short; The hunter escaped the city and tries to discover a cure in the forest where he is now hiding.

Personally, I think that Shadow Six really has the form of Six, and he/she/it tries to make her go to Maw to get her powers back. By this logic, the previous Ladies (if you know about this theory) could also have their own shadow, which would have the same purpose.

The hunter is probably using the mannequin pieces for himself since we can't see him he could have mannequin parts for limbs
So I will talk about the comment about Veronica Song ,Veronica song has been proved by Devs or Bandai Namco that it doesn't has any meaning it's just distorted Scottish Song that Devs added because it fits in this world so well.
The original Lyrics are made by Jord due to very heavy distortion our brain could made some english lyrics even before jord version appeared and when we got lyrics from what jord thought he heard on the Screen our brain thought it is confirmed that it is actual song about some guy among the sea but it wasn't.

wait a minute I just figured something out maybe little nightmares 2 takes place during world war 2 and this is why back during ww2 Adolf Hitler wanted to bomb London and children will have to be sent to the countryside and in little nightmares 2 we see that the pale city is destroyed and at the start of the game Mono woke up in the forest far away from the pale city

What if the TV they teleport to make an escape, just a portal back to the start, but when six escapes, shadow six is left alone at the pale city because shadow six followed six on al her adventures
Here's my theory. My theory is about why Six dropped/let go of Mono. I have at least 4. So, the 1st one is, because she had a vision of Mono in the future as 'Thin Man' - I think everyone thought this for their first reaction. The 2nd one is, because, her hunger problem kicked in - I know that sounds cringe :] - and she let go of him/dropped him to not be tempted to eat him. The 3rd one is because she KNEW that the true identity of the 'Signal Tower' was keeping their eyes on 'Mono' and she gave the Signal Tower what they wanted (this kind of was a sign that she is evil :) - sad times :). Ok last reason why - this might be a bit confusing, so if it is sorry - Six remembers her mother, The Lady, that lives at the Maw so she gets distracted and drops/lets go of Mono and runs off to the Maw! :D
Ok so this is all for this theory/comment and I have to say I really enjoyed writing this and hopefully you like it! :)

i've mentioned this before! it seems like maybe all the patients the doctor had that went wrong may have gone to the hunter, hence the human taxidermy and mannequin parts.

The reason I disagree a little, is because we have never seen the Hunter processing bones, or hard objects in general. We've seen him work with ropes and cotton (or so it seems).
