I like to use a salt and pepper based rub at a minimum or at least a starting point, and that EXACTLY what I did with my homemade rub:
2 TBSP Coarse Black Pepper
1 TBSP Salt
1 TBSP Lawry's Seasoned Salt. ( amzn.to/3x0uyI5 )
1 TBSP Granulated Garlic
1 tsp Granulated Onion
1 tsp Paprika
1.5 tsp Brown Sugar
1.5tsp granulated honey

    Some of these videos I’ve seen some people wrap the ribs in foil, others just put them directly in the oven. What’s the difference?

    I wonder how this compares with the Yoder 640s, I think it is.?? I'll bet they're close to neck and neck, but I don't know. This looks like a brick (you know what) house grill. Great review and I'm looking foreward to some cooking and comparrison videos in the future. Marc.

    I have one of these but not sure what I think of it. I went through the seasoning process but the fan wouldn’t shut off at the set temperature and I can’t figure out why the fan won’t shut off at the set temperatures. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    For hot and fast lump is better, but bags do have a ton of dust. Low and slow you want briquettes, especially to smoke and as a source to get your sticks going.

    Your ribs look amazing. I live in Idaho and we tend to get some hard winters and it is hard to bbq or cook outdoors so this is a good thing to know how to do. Thanks for sharing this video. I can't use mustard as a binder due to an allergy to it.

    Notice you ran Lump Charcoal, I normally use Kingsford Charcole. I would also be adding the chunks of smoke wood. I have not bought the Master built 800 yet as my Pitt Boss is still throwing out some great meals. Waiting on her to stumble and I can tell me wife It's time to put the ole Pitt Boss out of the pasture. LOL. All jokes aside, I like using my Pitt Boss but also love my old style home make Stainless Steel Charcoal grill. With that said I am very interested in trying the Master built Gravity 800 or the larger unit.

      The Gravity Series 800 is a great smoker for the price! I’ve honestly bounced around on charcoal so much over the years, but I’m back to the ole Kingsford briquettes and I’m not going anywhere 🤣

    All good, but what speaks against not running the oven on high for 30 min with the flipped stone, but instead using the oven with the flipped stone next time, which is a lot more environmental friendly and saves on fuel, be it pellets or propane?

      Yeah I took just ordered mine and DPD delivered it yesterday. Went for a Napoleon Kettle Grill rather than Weber. But cooked on gas for ages and can't wait to get back to charcoal/wood - you just can't beat the flavour and taste.

      @@cowhead0201 nice. Just getting it going now, but have tried without the charcoal baskets (still on order) and some of th charcoal I have does slip through the grate which isn't ideal. Might need to wait for the baskets to make it easier. Although larger charcoal pieces would also help.

I LOVE MY STICK BURNER BUT YOU CAN SMOKE WITH PELLETS AND WOOD CHIPS AND YOU CANT TELL ITS A PELLET SMOKER YOU JUST FILL THE HOPPER WITH PELLETS AND WOOD CHIPS IF YOU WANT AND LET IT SMOKE FOR 20 HOURS YOU CAN SET UP THE APP AND CONTROL IT FROM YOUR PHONE ITS AWSOME YOU CAN SPRITS IT WHENEVER YOU WANT. YOU CAN GRILL STAKES YOU CAN MAKE ANYTHING ITS AWSOME. AND NO THEY ARE NOT PAYING ME TO SAY THIS I WISH THERE GRILLS ARE THE BEST ONLY THING IS EVERYTHING IS HEAVY ON IT WELL I GUESS THATS WHY IT WILL LAST SO LONG. NO THIN METAL ANYWHERE MAYBE THE FRONT SHELVE I THINK THE COMPLETE GRILL WIEGHT ABOUT 450LB. I GOT THE SMALL ONE OF THE TWO. BUT IF YOU WANT A PELLET SMOKER THAT WILL LAST GET A LSG.     Great back to the basics video brother. I just purchased a 26" kettle today. I was planning on getting a pellet grill again but there is no reason to spend the extra money as far as I'm concerned. I've had offset smokers, vertical pellet smokers, Vertical electric smokers, Tried them all! These grills do a great job and are hard to beat for the money, and there are a ton of accessories for these smokers/Grills. Thanks again!
