Making baby back ribs in the oven is super simple. Follow these steps and you'll see for yourself.

Remove the membrane off the back of the ribs using a butter knife and a paper towel, just like you see in the video. Then use some olive oil ( as a binder and coat generously with your favorite rib or bbq rubs.... I used the my own rub and it was perfect!
I like to use a salt and pepper based rub at a minimum or at least a starting point, and that EXACTLY what I did with my homemade rub:
2 TBSP Coarse Black Pepper
1 TBSP Salt
1 TBSP Lawry's Seasoned Salt. ( amzn.to/3x0uyI5 )
1 TBSP Granulated Garlic
1 tsp Granulated Onion
1 tsp Paprika
1.5 tsp Brown Sugar
Cover a large baking sheet with foil and place the ribs in the oven for 2 hours at 350F with the oven rack set close to the bottom. After 2 hours r set the oven to 450F, and and leave the ribs in for 10 minutes. Remove the ribs from the oven and sauce.. I used Hey Grill Hey Everything BBQ Sauce ( amzn.to/40d8lnp ). Return them to the oven for 3-5min at 450F just enough to caramelize the sauce. Remove and let them rest for a few. This is a great time to take pictures and brag to your friends! These are better than slow cooker ribs and instant pot ribs. Believe me....there is nothing wrong with meat in the oven!

You really need parchment paper as a barrier between the meat. If not the seasoning will cause a reaction to the aluminum foil and it'll start breaking down and the metal will seep into your meat.

After spending an hour craving ribs and looking at local restaurant rib prices, I decided i didnt wanna spend $44 bucks on a full rack so I bought some from the store and followed this video. I’ve made ribs 3 times with this method. With the right rub, sauce, etc., they turn out surprisingly well. I used a smoked rub and smoked paprika to get that flavor in there.
Smoked paprika makes a massive difference . It provides that smokiness that’s missing. I’ve tried this method and wrapping them, these have a much better bark/exterior but wrapping definitely comes out juicier.

low heat Approx 250 for three to four hours in your toaster oven!! DONE!

I finally found someone else using this method for the removal of the membrane. I've been using this for years but I don't wear gloves or use the paper towel. Just the knife, then wiggle the fingers through and pull up. I still chuckle at people struggling with grabbing the end of the membrane when this is so much easier.

I just did this for my wife son and daughter. (Even my 8 month old got a taste). Except at an hour and 40, I brushed the ribs down with fresh cherry Pepsi. Other than that, they followed everything. Very good!

I find it interesting how people make these differently. I'm definitely going to have to try different methods out of curiosity. The fact people do things differently is awesome because I can experiment lol and I enjoy the fact there's no "one way to do this." Thanks for sharing this! It's different than the last recipes I've seen where people are using mustard and baking at 350 for 2 to 3 hours. Their methods look great too. However I enjoy seeing olive oil being used instead especially because there are people I cook for who hate mustard. The texture of your baked pork ribs look interesting too. This is a wonderful recipe and video. Only change I would make is to add parchment paper over the foil lined pan for baking to avoid getting aluminum toxicity in my ribs. I'm not a fan of aluminum foil for this reason.
Finally, someone who knows "fall off the bone" is overcooked or boiled. These look great. Thanks for a very good and informative vid. Im gonna try this.

Glad to see you are doing this sort of thing on your channel. I have done quick grilled ribs on the Weber, slow smoked ribs on the Weber, ribs in the oven and ribs in the Crockpot. Each method yielded a different result, but they all turned out great!

I have never seen a video so informative. Thank you for actually showing how to remove the membrane and how to check for doneness or when they are tender. Most video just say ok you need to remove that membrane and cook for 3 hours or so.

AWESOME DUDE...WE BBQ all winter long here in northern ontario Canada.We are going to try this in the oven method but my wife is a bit nervous cause she hates cleaning the oven (and I dont blame her...lol) Great tip about putting the sauce on out of the pan cause you are right any spillage will burn in the pan...great tip!
